2003 Hyundai Santa Fe Suv With 126,000 Miles. (( Cold Air )) Automatic 4 Cylind on 2040-cars
Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States
Hi I'm the owner and operator of a small taxi limousine company in the South Jersey area. About 8 miles outside of Atlantic City NJ. On occasion when I sell one of my high mileage limousines I get a car in on a trade in and this is what I have.
Up for sale is this 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe ( SUV ) it's the four cylinder ** automatic ** that gets about 25 MPG! I drove this car about 20 miles. To the car wash and back. It runs and drives very good, everything works and was fully functional, the air-conditioner was very cold. The interior is very clean and neat definitely a non-smoker! The exterior was also very good, paint still looks GOOD, all in all this is a very good car for a first-time driver, commuter, student or maybe even a pizza delivery person.
Now after 25 years in the limo business. This is what I found wrong even though the car runs very GOOD! and shifts perfectly. It does has a slight hesitation when you're stop at a street light "definitely need spark plugs"
The Two front tires are very good and have about 60% tread life. The two back tires are poor and have about 40% tread life. The brakes and rotors stop fine! "although I would recommend changing them" the pedal feels a little soft towards the floor ( again they stop fine ) the passenger side upper or lower ball joint is making a noise. Only when you hit a bump it sounds more like the shock but it is definitely a ball joint I would recommend doing both sides. The paint looks very good and shiny. There is a few small rust spots. ( nothing you would take to the body shop ) again the car is not new just runs and drives very GOOD!. For a car of this age. I would recommend a mini tuneup! Spark plugs, wires, rotors, maybe a $99 brake job at minus muffler, change all the fluids and the wipers at Jiffy Lube. And you should be good to go please note this is my recommendation others may feel differently after 25 years in the limo business I would feel very confident driving this car locally right now. Local Shopping trips to the mall to and from work commuting 50 to 100 miles a day I feel pretty confident this car has plenty of life in it.
I honestly don't feel anyone should hit the buy it now button until you personally call me! Car is being sold **** as is & no warranty at all ****
Car is for local pickup only buyer has 24 hours to pay full in cash face-to-face. Please feel free to call me at 609-453-9775 daily from 9 AM to 9 PM

Hyundai files patent for smartphone feature disabler in proximity to steering wheel
Wed, Apr 15 2015Combatting driver distraction continues to be a hot topic in automotive safety, especially when it comes to young motorists. While simply not using a smartphone behind the wheel would fix much of the problem, automakers are trying to work out complicated ways to make people safer. For example, GM is experimenting with head and eye tracking to make sure folks are paying attention to the road. Now, Hyundai might have come up with a technology that offers a very simple fix: disable the phones. The Korean automaker explains the idea in explicit detail in a recently published patent. The tech specifically "limits or disables the use of some of mobile device features which could cause distraction to the user," according to the abstract. Depending on variables like the vehicle's speed, the system determines what smartphone functions are safe to use, including texting or voice calls. Based on a plethora of permutations in the document, these restrictions could only be for the area around the driver's seat or for the whole vehicle. The key to the patent is placing antennas around the vehicle and monitoring for cellular signals. When the system detects them, it can begin selectively deciding what features to allow on the device. The tech isn't a simple on/off switch either, and can possibly detect the time of day or importance of the caller to let messages though. The major downside to all of this is the phone would need to run a specific program or firmware for all of this to work. With such a recently published patent, it might be years before the tech arrives in Hyundai vehicles, if at all. Still, this is an interesting solution. Of course, it would be far simpler if people just put down their phones. You can read the full description of the automaker's concept, here. Facelifted Hyundai Veloster to get new 7-speed DCT, Flex Steer
Wed, 29 Oct 2014No matter how you look at it, the Hyundai Veloster is an odd duck. With the vehicle's weird door configuration and styling that kind of looks like a modernized Honda CRX, the model is certainly unlike anything else on the road today. Since spotting one testing earlier this year (pictured above), we know that a refreshed version is on the way eventually, but that car keeps a lot of its secrets hidden under camouflage. New rumors from The Korean Car Blog suggest that the Veloster might receive a few mechanical changes to go along with the updated skin.
Among the biggest rumored tweaks is that the turbocharged model is receiving a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox as a replacement for its current, conventional six-speed auto. Another potential change for the naturally aspirated version is Hyundai's Flex Steer system that offers selectable weighting for the electric power steering.
Styling obviously isn't being left alone for the update. The mule testing earlier this year appears to show a new grille and altered bumpers underneath its concealment. The latest rumors suggest that's exactly the case with the possibility of a front end closer in design to the current Genesis, along with HID headlights and a modified hood design to remove the faux heat extractors.
Hyundai predicts 250-mile electric vehicle by 2020
Wed, Jul 13 2016Hyundai will start selling a battery-electric version of its Ioniq in the US later this year, but the company is ready for much more. Hyundai is forecasting having an EV with a 250-mile single-charge range by the end of the decade. Hyundai executive Ahn Byung-ki told Automotive News that, while electric-vehicle technology development has been steady during the past six years, it will accelerate during the next two. Think of it as the "hockey stick" effect, but for South Korean automakers instead of Silicon Valley tech giants or Canadian hockey players. The Ioniq, which will also get plug-in and hybrid variants, will have a single-charge range of 110 miles when the EV version arrives in November. After that, Hyundai and its Kia and Genesis sister companies may develop a 200-mile range EV for 2018, and then that 250-mile-range car for 2020. Byung-ki isn't concerned that the Ioniq will quickly be outdated because the longer-range vehicles will also be priced higher. The Hyundai executive also said the company had no plans to take on Tesla Motors in the luxury EV market. The Ioniq EV was unveiled at the New York Auto Show this past March. A hybrid version of that sedan debuted in South Korea in January, while the EV went on sale in South Korea last month. Overall, Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis are planning to introduce 10 hybrids, eight EVs, eight plug-in hybrids, and two hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles by the end of the decade. The Hyundai group's only electric vehicle currently sold in the US is the Kia Soul EV, which has a single-charge range of 93 miles as well as some dancing hamsters in its commercials. Neither the Tesla Model 3 nor the Chevrolet Bolt can make that second claim. Related Video:
