Genny has been garaged 100% of her life and pampered. Only Zaino wax has been carefully used to preserve the finish. One, non-smoking owner (me) who is a gadget nut, so all of the fancy things on Genny work like new. I have swapped out many of the stock incandescent lighting with LED lights.  I had a 4 wheel alignment done at about 25k miles and swapped to Toyo tires. It feels like you're driving in butter :).  I have also 're-badged' Genny. The only 'H' left is on the steering wheel and on the windows (in the safety info). All the wheels, hood and trunk have the Genesis Wings, just like the ones in Korea. There are zero mechanical issues and Genny has never been in an accident of any level. I have been very diligent on oil changes, recalls, etc., all done by the dealer.

The only wear you will see are slight scuffing at the trunk, under the front bumper (catching on those blasted concrete parking things), and on the wheels (just an age thing). At first glance, you'll likely not see anything. I've touched up as much as I can. The front mats look great. The GENESIS logo is embroidered in silver and it is slightly showing wear. Be nice, and I'll replace the floor mats :).

I'd like to sell this in the East Texas area (I'm in Tyler, TX)  so you can see Genny first hand, drive it, and make your decision. I can also show you the fun things in the car and show off the awesome 7.1 surround, 17 speaker Lexicon sound! Hey, I'll throw in a few Audio DVDs that will peel your hair back too!

Before you email and say that my price is high... I know it is :). Genny has been exceptionally well kept and has many many more great miles left in her. She deserves it. I look at Genny as a great car for someone that can't afford a new Lexus, Audi or BMW but who would like to experience that luxury for a decent price. Genny is your car.

I expect cash and for you to drive Genny off to her new adventures. Her title is 100% clear.

Hyundai predicts 250-mile electric vehicle by 2020

Wed, Jul 13 2016

Hyundai will start selling a battery-electric version of its Ioniq in the US later this year, but the company is ready for much more. Hyundai is forecasting having an EV with a 250-mile single-charge range by the end of the decade. Hyundai executive Ahn Byung-ki told Automotive News that, while electric-vehicle technology development has been steady during the past six years, it will accelerate during the next two. Think of it as the "hockey stick" effect, but for South Korean automakers instead of Silicon Valley tech giants or Canadian hockey players. The Ioniq, which will also get plug-in and hybrid variants, will have a single-charge range of 110 miles when the EV version arrives in November. After that, Hyundai and its Kia and Genesis sister companies may develop a 200-mile range EV for 2018, and then that 250-mile-range car for 2020. Byung-ki isn't concerned that the Ioniq will quickly be outdated because the longer-range vehicles will also be priced higher. The Hyundai executive also said the company had no plans to take on Tesla Motors in the luxury EV market. The Ioniq EV was unveiled at the New York Auto Show this past March. A hybrid version of that sedan debuted in South Korea in January, while the EV went on sale in South Korea last month. Overall, Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis are planning to introduce 10 hybrids, eight EVs, eight plug-in hybrids, and two hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles by the end of the decade. The Hyundai group's only electric vehicle currently sold in the US is the Kia Soul EV, which has a single-charge range of 93 miles as well as some dancing hamsters in its commercials. Neither the Tesla Model 3 nor the Chevrolet Bolt can make that second claim. Related Video:

Hyundai reveals flying car among other wacky concepts [w/video]

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Hyundai has held an IDEA festival for the past three years that gives its engineers a break from seat belts, and electrical harnesses and wheel arch moldings. Each festival serves up a theme for personal mobility, after that there's no limit - competing teams can come up with anything that serves the theme and are encouraged to get creative.
That's how you get concepts like the E4U 'egg car' (pictured); a single-stander mode of transportation that channels Mork from Ork. The oddest thing about the egg is not the yellow shell but the helmet the 'driver' wears. Other ideas included a flying car with 16 (!) rotors, a bicycle that could serve as a spare tire and a car with five joints. Although most appeared totally impractical, all were totally cool.
This year's festival is in the works, the theme being the rather ambiguous "R&D for customers," the point is apparently to come up with concepts that Hyundai customers might actually use. There's a video with scenes of last year's festival and a press release below (our vote goes to the Pandora).

Hyundai missing Q1 earnings targets blamed on slow US sales

Thu, 24 Apr 2014

Slow US growth is hampering profits at Hyundai. In its first quarter financial statement, the Korean automaker reported a profit of 1.93 trillion won ($1.86 billion). According to Reuters, this is less than analysts' expectations and nearly the same as last year.
According to the report, US sales fell by 3 percent in Q1 2014. To make matters worse, the high value of the South Korean currency caused lower profits on models exported from there. On the bright side, Hyundai's Chinese sales rose by 9 percent, according to Reuters. It's also working on building a fourth factory there.
The company has had a rough time in the US throughout the quarter. John Krafcik, the CEO of Hyundai of America, stepped down on January 1, and the company was already predicting slow growth in sales for 2014. Falling quality scores for the Sonata and Elantra aren't helping matters either. However, there may be hope on the way. The second-generation Genesis Sedan was introduced to the US in Detroit, and the redesigned Sonata was recently shown in New York. Successful launches of these important models could prove crucial.
