Hyundai Sonata Se 2.0 T With Transferable 100k Mi Bumper To Bumper Warranty on 2040-cars
San Diego, California, United States
Carmax offered me $13K. I found a non turbo with more miles Irvine that they are selling for $18K. I can not reconcile letting them make over $5K off of me. I'm moving to Arizona on the 27th. I don't want to have to title the car there and then sell it there. I want it gone. $14,500 is a very fair price on this car, Edmunds lists the trade in value at $14,553 and private party value at $15,819. NADA trade in is $14,450.
So I'm selling it private party at trade in price. 30,9XX miles. I'm the original owner of the car, I put in a set of Weathertech all weather floor mats front, back and trunk, so all the carpet is in excellent condition. The car comes with 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, when I bought it I upgraded to the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and it is fully transferable. The only significant damage on the car is the front passenger wheel was curbed, I put up a picture specifically of that damage, it's cosmetic and structural integrity of the wheel is intact. Everything else is normal wear and tear. All oil changes have been full synthetic, usually amsoil 0w-40. Runs and drives excellent. I just had the exterior detailed before I took it to Carmax so it's got fresh coat of wax. It's ready to go. |

NHTSA investigating 8 million airbags not made by Takata
Thu, Aug 4 2016In a shocking turn of events, we have a line of airbags under investigation that weren't made by Takata. Rather, Automotive News reports that 8,000,000 airbags made by ARC Automotive Inc. are under investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). According to Automotive News, NHTSA is looking into ARC's airbags after two injuries and a recent death were attributed to the company's products. The two injuries occurred first and prompted the initial inquiry of 490,000 airbags, which then expanded after an airbag from a different line caused the death of a Canadian driver. The airbags in question are found in GM, FCA, Hyundai and Kia products, and all automakers are cooperating with the investigation, Automotive News reports. It is also important to note that these airbags have not been recalled, as NHTSA is trying to determine the issue and whether a recall is necessary. NHTSA also told the news outlet that the ARC inflators use a different design than those from Takata, instead using some pressurized gas and an ammonium nitrate charge. While the design may be different, the Takata inflators also used ammonium nitrate propellant, which other manufacturers have avoided. We will be watching this situation closely to see what develops. Here's hoping – for our collective safety and sanity – that we won't have to go through another airbag crisis like with the Takata recall. Hyundai dealerships getting global makeover
Sat, 16 Aug 2014In the near future, almost no matter where you're at in the world - whether in Mexico or France - you may not be able to tell an immediate difference between Hyundai dealers. The Korean brand plans to remove some of the diversity from its showrooms in favor of a unified design everywhere outside of the US by about 2020.
The plan is called the Global Dealership Space Identity, and the end result features a modern, open showroom with floor-to-ceiling glass to look in and a bronze-colored roof section (pictured above). The goal of the unified design "is to strengthen our Modern Premium brand consistency across all dealerships, proving premium emotional experiences related to our brand and increase interaction with customers," said Hyundai spokesperson Sookjin Hwang to Autoblog via email.
The ball is already rolling on the plan with the cues being implemented at new dealers in Mexico and about 42 other showrooms worldwide. In the future even Canada may use it, according to Automotive News. "Hyundai Motor plans to fully implement the new identity worldwide within five years (2014~2018). The exact timing for each country will be different."
Recharge Wrap-up: Alguersuari out for Formula E season 2, hydrogen range test video
Thu, Aug 6 2015A pair of hydrogen proponents drove a Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell 1,480.73 miles in 24 hours. Arnt-Goran Hartvig and Marius Bornstein, nicknamed The Viking and The Scientist, drove a 186-mile route in Germany repeatedly as many times as they could over the course of a full day to set the distance record. The advantage of short refueling times for the hydrogen vehicle helped the duo spend more time on the road. See the video above, and read more from Hybrid Cars. Jaime Alguersuari will miss the second season of Formula E. His license was suspended after fainting at the end of the Moscow ePrix, and he is still waiting for a diagnosis. "During the month of July I underwent several tests for which there has not been a medical resolution and I am still waiting for the final diagnosis," says Alguersuari. "For this reason I need to announce that, unfortunately, I will not be able to take part in the FIA Formula E Championship for the 2015/16 season with my team DS Virgin Racing." The former Formula 1 driver will make an announcement about his future in September. Read more at Autosport. Jeb Bush has come out against the Renewable Fuel Standard. In an interview in an Iowa Falls Dairy Queen, the Republican presidential hopeful gave his opinion about the ethanol mandate. "The best way to get to energy security, in my mind, is letting the markets work," says Bush. "So the RFS has had great success, and over a period of time I think it has to be phased out." Ditching the ethanol mandate could hurt Bush in the important corn-growing state of Iowa, though he thinks his record as Florida governor will help his status with voters.
