Brighton, Massachusetts, United States
For sale Blue Hyundai Elantra 2008, 109,000miles.
Two owner car (bought it from my neighbor (a father who was using it for work- long distance highway driving made these miles in 3 years or so). Car spent most of its life in NJ.. but Boston, MA driving left its marks- car has multiple scratches and dents all around.. some are fixed up, some touch painted... viewing recommended! From inside, there are no rips or tears, just regular usage. Non smoker car! No pets, no kids. Selling due to my relocation to Europe for 6 months, and I don't want to leave it standing while I am away. PROS: New Battery changed 4 months ago and has a warranty for 3 years. Brand new 8" LCD touch screen radio with DVD, Navigation, Internet, USB, SD, iPad connection, remote and many many other options. HD Back view Camera! Good tires! Recently changed Oil! (next change 111900) Includes 3Qt Genuine Hyundai Transmission Oil. Extra brand new rear view camera. Extra Bulbs! Spare tire with everything to change it. Serpentine Belt (sometimes makes noise so bought it in advance). Owners manual, Handbook and other booklets which came with the brand new car. Old radio included. CONS: Multiple scratches and dents all around. Serpentine belt will have to be changed (included). Personally didn't have any problems with it... it has plenty of power, comfortable, 30miles/gal easy in the city... ice cold AC, good sound quality radio and navigation, rear view camera makes it super easy to park... Great daily driving car. |

Hyundai, Kia launching dedicated hybrids in 2017
Mon, Aug 10 2015The currently weak green car market isn't stopping Hyundai and Kia from staging an ongoing electrified onslaught, and it's primed to just keep growing. Already familiar with the field thanks to vehicles like the Sonata Hybrid, Tucson Fuel Cell, and Kia Soul EV, for the 2017 model year the Korean siblings are launching their first dedicated hybrids, according to Automotive News. Since last year, the hybrids have been spotted testing several times while wearing heavy camouflage. Hyundai's version will reportedly be styled as a Chevrolet Volt-fighting sedan. Conversely, Kia will go for a more directly Prius-challenging hatchback. Underneath, they'll share a powertrain consisting of a direct-injected, 1.6-liter four-cylinder and electric motor. Both will use the same platform based on the next-gen Elantra and Forte, according to Automotive News. In addition, Hyundai will get a pure EV version of its model to launch in California in 2017, while Kia reportedly won't. According to Automotive News, the companies' strategy is reportedly to be ready when gas prices eventually rise again. "When they come back up and people start looking for hybrids again, it'll be very nice to be able to give buyers an option besides just the Prius," said Adam Kraushaar, president of a New Jersey Hyundai dealer. Further complimenting the electrified plans, a plug-in version of the Kia Optima Hybrid is also reportedly on the way. With its launch, the two brands would have a total of nine hybrid, EV or fuel cell vehicles on offer by the 2018 model year.

Hyundai Genesis V8 HTRAC may come with performance orientation
Mon, 20 Jan 2014When the second-generation Hyundai Genesis arrives in dealers, customers looking for the new all-wheel-drive variant will need to settle for the 3.8-liter V6. This is no bad thing, as the V6 is a sound engine, but what if you want that brawny, 429-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8? For now, you're stuck spinning the rear wheels.
A report from AutoGuide, though, claims that the new HTRAC all-wheel-drive system could be mated up to the Genny Sedan's optional V8 engine at a later date, as part of a new performance version. According to spokesman Miles Johnson, a performance-minded Genesis, perhaps in the same vein as the first-generation R-Spec, is being looked at by the powers that be at Hyundai and that there "may be a market demand for such a model."
Whether it'd add on to the V8's 429 ponies, or simply shore up other parts of the car while adding the AWD system remains to be seen. Of course, if we hear any more on an AWD, V8-powered, performance version of the new Genesis Sedan, we'll be sure to let you know.
