Features and Specs for the Hyundai Elantra GT Base (1.8L 4-cyl. 6-speed Automatic)
Hey guys, my name is Brody and I buy, repair, and sell minor cosmetic damaged vehicles from insurance companies. I do this on the side as a supplemental income and re-build about six a year. I purchased this Hyundai Elantra Gt a few months ago with minor front end damage. I replaced the bumper, hood due to scratches, and the left fender. I also put an airbag cover on the drivers side. It still needs an airbag on the drivers side but the state of Missouri doesn't require that you replace them. I don't replace them due to liability. This car is brand new practically, still smells new, and the interior is flawless. The engine bay looks brand new and the exterior, other than a few scratches is pretty mint. Its a hatchback and has a 1.8 liter in it. 6 speed manual transmission, loaded with all the options including Sirius, Bluetooth, hands free, steering wheel controls, etc. It runs and drives flawlessly like a newer car should. I have taken it to get inspected and It passed both the state safety inspection as well as the more thorough inspection from the highway patrol. It has a "prior salvage title" or Rebuilt title, not a salvage title!! That is important if you plan on getting a loan for the vehicle. Most credit unions will give loans on prior rebuilt salvage titles, not banks. The title is in hand and ready to go, all you have to do is title it at your dmv like any other vehicle. It has 11,000 miles on it!! Its a perfect Car for someone who wants gas effiency or for someone who is heading off to college and needs reliability. Its msrp is above 21k and I'm asking 12,900. Its the cheapest and Newest Hyundai Elantra GT on ebay. I'll provide pictures of the car as well as detailed pictures of the small scratches. I'm fair and honest, I rebuild six or seven cars a year to supplement my income and I'm out to provide you with the very best information so you know what your buying. Good luck bidding and let me know if you have any questions. |

Hyundai reveals CEO's pay for first time ever
Tue, 01 Apr 2014Thanks to some government pressure, Hyundai's billionaire chairman, Chung Mong Koo, has revealed just how much he gets paid each year. Honestly, the amount is a bit lower than we'd expect considering he helms such a huge industrial empire. The 76-year-old chairman brought home $13 million in 2013, $5.2 million of which came from Hyundai's automotive business while both Mobis and Hyundai Steel chipped in $3.94 million, each. For reference, Ford CEO Alan Mulally netted $23.2 million in 2013, although the vast majority of that money came from stock options.
The push for Chung to reveal his pay was part of a larger effort by the South Korean government called the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act. The act forces several thousand companies to release info on annual pay, bonuses and severance for employees earning over $5 million won ($469,000), according to Bloomberg.
"With the disclosure of the executives' compensation, the pressure to deliver better profits will increase," said Heo Pil Seok, the CEO of Midas International Asset Management. It seems to be working, as Hyundai shareholders, of which Midas is one, have seen their shares increase by 6.1 percent in 2014, which includes a 1.2-percent jump as of yesterday, according to Bloomberg.
My year in EVs: 8 electrics that are changing the car industry
Wed, Dec 1 2021The year 2021 will go down as an inflection point in the auto industry’s transition to electric vehicles. It's when many much-anticipated models became reality. No longer sketches or sketchy prototypes, electric vehicles appeared from all corners with everything from the Lucid Air to Ford Mustang Mach-E changing how we think about transportation. I managed to drive a lot of them, and as I went through my notes, I realized IÂ’ve got a mini memoir of the seminal EVs of 2021. HereÂ’s my take on eight of them. Hummer EV Easily the most over-the-top EV I tested this year. The 1,000-hp super truck lived up to the hype with its domineering presence, stupendous power and simply being a reincarnated Hummer. I took it for a short spin on- and off-road at the General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford, Mich., and was impressed with the airy cabin, removable sky panels and expansive touchscreens. Yes, I crab walked, which felt like steering a pontoon boat, though I can see why it would be useful. Lucid Air Dream Performance The most beautiful sedan I tested all year, EV or otherwise. Unlike the futuristic Mercedes EQS — which is quite attractive — LucidÂ’s car is a blend of mid-century modern interior aesthetics and classic European exterior styling. When I walked up for my test drive, someone who IÂ’m pretty sure was comedian Jon Lovitz was sitting inside and taking it all in. As it sat in the valet of a hotel in a wealthy suburban enclave north of Detroit, the Lucid drew more attention than any of the Mercedes, Cadillacs or Lexus models passing by. The driving experience was enveloping. Starting at $169,000 for the Performance model (reservations are closed), the Lucid I sampled packed 1,111 hp and 471 miles of range. From the precise steering to the comfortable suspension, the dynamics were spot-on. It's a formidable product, and all the more impressive given itÂ’s LucidÂ’s first. Chevy Bolt EV The Bolt was the most pleasant surprise for me. It handled well, offered low-to-the-ground hot hatch dynamics and the steering was dialed-in. Adding a crossover variant for the new generation was a smart play. On a summer morning where I went to a first drive of the Ford Bronco at an off-road course, my hour-long commute in the Bolt was an enjoyable appetizer. The Bolt was also my biggest disappointment due to its extensive recalls for fire risk. Ironically, I had the Bolt in my driveway when the initial recall went out for the previous generation (2017-19).
Hyundai i20 WRC gets shakedown in Finland
Fri, 30 Aug 2013It's always a good day when we get to post a video about rally racing. It's even better when that video is of a new WRC competitor undergoing testing. This spy video shows Hyundai's i20 WRC, a car that debuted nearly one year ago at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. It's set to usher in Hyundai's return to top-flight motorsports, and will do battle with the cars from Citroen, Ford and Volkswagen that are currently contesting the 2013 season.
This video, which shows the i20 testing on the notoriously tough Finnish rally stages, gives the impression that progress on the new WRC contender is going well. It certainly looks fast, and as with the vast majority of rally cars, it sounds absolutely wonderful (listen to some of those gun-shot-like backfires). Take a look below for the whole, glorious three minutes and 20 seconds of unadulterated rally noise, flying dirt and jumping.
