You are looking at a 2012 Elantra GLS with the preffered Package. It has all the standards like power windows, door locks, keyless entry, Traction Control, Cruise Control, Telescopic and tilting steering wheel, but also has the upgraded 16" Alloy rims, the Steering Wheel audio controls, Bluetooth hands-free phone system with voice recoginition, sliding center armrest, illuminated vanity mirrors, and foglights. Included are the embossed Elantra floor mats for the front and back seats as well as the carpetted mat for the trunk. There is the cargo net, cargo tray, and rear bumper protector. We are including the iPod cable and we also got the mud guards on all four tires. The tires were replaced with brand new all-weather tires less then 3000 miles ago. We added a Viper remote car starter that will allow you to start the car, unlock and lock the doors, and pop the trunk from up to 2000 feet away. This remote start system will also give you confirmation that the car is started and lock status anywhere within range. The Radio has an AM/FM/CD player with the XM tuner already on-board and iPod integration. All the controls for the radio are also located on the steering wheel for easier use. The back seat has a fold down armrest and the rear seats fold down for more storage. The front seat area has the sliding center rest for better comfort. The car is in like new condition. We have all manuals, two keys, the original keyless entry transmitters, two of the Viper transmitters, and even the original window sticker. This car has never seen an accident or even a door ding. Hyundai Recalling 883,000 Sonata Sedans

DETROIT (AP) - Hyundai is recalling its popular Sonata midsize sedan to fix problems with the gear shift levers. The recall covers 883,000 cars from the 2011 through 2014 model years. The Korean automaker says the automatic transmission shift cable can separate from the shift lever. If that happens, the lever may not show the correct gear, increasing the risk of a crash. Also, if the driver stops the car and puts the transmission in "park," the car may still be in gear and could roll away, injuring drivers, passengers or bystanders, Hyundai said in documents posted Wednesday by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Other symptoms include an inability to start the car because it can't be shifted into park. Hyundai has received 1,171 warranty claims about the problem, plus seven other reports with related symptoms. The documents don't say if there have been any crashes or injuries. The Sonatas being recalled were made from Dec. 11, 2009 through May 29, 2014. The Sonata is Hyundai's second-best-selling car in the U.S. so far this year. First is the compact Elantra. Hyundai will notify owners by letter between now and the end of September. Dealers will inspect the shift cables and repair the connection if needed. Hyundai files patent for smartphone feature disabler in proximity to steering wheel

Combatting driver distraction continues to be a hot topic in automotive safety, especially when it comes to young motorists. While simply not using a smartphone behind the wheel would fix much of the problem, automakers are trying to work out complicated ways to make people safer. For example, GM is experimenting with head and eye tracking to make sure folks are paying attention to the road. Now, Hyundai might have come up with a technology that offers a very simple fix: disable the phones. The Korean automaker explains the idea in explicit detail in a recently published patent. The tech specifically "limits or disables the use of some of mobile device features which could cause distraction to the user," according to the abstract. Depending on variables like the vehicle's speed, the system determines what smartphone functions are safe to use, including texting or voice calls. Based on a plethora of permutations in the document, these restrictions could only be for the area around the driver's seat or for the whole vehicle. The key to the patent is placing antennas around the vehicle and monitoring for cellular signals. When the system detects them, it can begin selectively deciding what features to allow on the device. The tech isn't a simple on/off switch either, and can possibly detect the time of day or importance of the caller to let messages though. The major downside to all of this is the phone would need to run a specific program or firmware for all of this to work. With such a recently published patent, it might be years before the tech arrives in Hyundai vehicles, if at all. Still, this is an interesting solution. Hyundai, ARK Performance combine for SEMA-bound Legato Genesis Coupe

The latest body-kitted Hyundai Genesis Coupe scheduled to appear at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas is the ARK Performance Legato Concept. In a nod to performance fiends, Hyundai built a stroker V6 good for 400 horsepower and 425 pound-feet of torque to really set the coupe off.
The extra power is a very good thing when one considers how fast the Legato Coupe looks. Speaking of the Italian musical term "legato," it translates to "tied together," and it was the theme ARK adhered to when it designed the car. In ARK's words, the the Legato conveys "the seamless integration of exotic design, tuned performance and luxury coupe interior ambience."
ARK's body kit includes front and rear bumpers, side skirts, deck lid and "wide-body cues." The 3.8-liter V6 was stroked to 4.0 liters courtesy of JE pistons, connecting rods and a billet steel crankshaft. ARK supplied an intake system and headers, and bolted on a lightweight pulley kit. An ARK oil cooler keeps the engine running at the right temperature. The tuning company also bolted on one of its dual-mass flywheels and carbon clutch kit to handle the extra power.
