Up for sale we have a beautiful, Silver with Grey 2006 Hyundai Elantra GLS. This clean one owner Elantra has only 70k miles!!

This Hyundai is well equipped with am/fm CD player, power windows and locks, front and side airbags and even remote start! You can see that the previous owner cared for the car and it was well maintained.

Cosmetically the Elantra has no damage except what is listed below and pictured. The engine and transmission feel excellent and sound strong. The interior, like the exterior is very clean as well, showing minimal wear and tear for a car of this age. All the accessories work as they should. The tires are in good shape and all match. The only minor imperfections are on the passenger rear door of the car, there is a ding, and the rear bumper has some scratches (pictured). There are some other minor scratches as to be expected with a 7 year old car. The headlight also has some holes in it, I am guessing it had moisture in it at some point and this was done to relieve that issue. The interior is in excellent condition with a few burn marks in the material. The hubcaps have some peeling(also pictured).

We are offering this Elantra at an aggressive price and we are open to offers. We also offer financing for this vehicle and accept all trades. We can also provide extended warranty at an additional cost.

All of our cars come with a 90 day/ 4500 mile powertrain warranty supplied by Guardian Warranty Corporation, at no extra charge. There is a $100 dollar deductible on all covered repairs

To make an appointment to view this Hyundai or if you have any questions or need additional information or pictures, feel free to call Joe at North Shore Auto Sales Inc. anytime at (718)448-6259,  email at joensauto@gmail.com , or via "contact the seller" at the bottom of the ad.

We do require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of an agreed upon price, which will be taken through our dealership.

There is a $75 Documentation fee in addition to the final agreed upon price. NYS residents are required to  pay sales tax.

We can do all NYS motor vehicle processing (new plates and registration or a plate transfer) for the actual motor vehicle fees. We can also provide a 30 day in transit permit for out of state residents for an additional $12.50.

I can assist in shipping, however it is ultimately the buyers responsibility.

We are a registered NYS motor vehicle dealer selling pre-owned cars. We guarantee the car to be "safe and sound" needing no immediate repairs or attention. We service all of our cars at the time of sale, so please allow 1 additional day, after the sale to pick up your "new" car. We are a "brick and mortar" location. As a dealer we do have normal walk in traffic as well as other advertising avenues, so I reserve the right to remove the listing early if it is sold previous to auction end. The dealership and vehicle are located at 691 Richmond Rd, Staten Island, NY 10304. Feel free to stop by anytime to inspect any of our fine vehicles.

South Korea firms up fuel economy regs following Hyundai/Kia debacle

Tue, 30 Apr 2013

According to a report from Reuters, South Korea's government has drafted strict new rules for automakers to follow when calculating fuel economy. The legislation comes after a major snafu by Hyundai and Kia that resulted in the automakers lowering the estimated fuel mileage of many popular models - some by several miles per gallon, including the Soul subcompact above - and compensating owners in the US and Canada for the reduction.
The new fuel economy rules were announced by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in South Korea and will see average mileage ratings drop by roughly three to five percent, according to the report. In addition, manufacturers found guilty of overstating mileage figures will be liable for fines of up to $900,000.
These sweeping new regulations will go into effect in the second half of 2013 and, while they won't have any effect on EPA estimates for Hyundai and Kia vehicles in the United States, they are expected to result in new ratings for the two automakers in their home market of South Korea, where they enjoy a whopping 70-percent market share.

2015 Hyundai Tuscon Fuel Cell will lease for $499/month, comes with free hydrogen

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

If nothing else, Hyundai wants to make it as easy as pie for you to check out its upcoming hydrogen-powered 2015 Tucson Fuel Cell vehicle. Given that the Korean automaker will be the first to offer a mass-produced fuel cell vehicle in the US (sorry, Honda, the FCX Clarity just doesn't cut it for this category) and that the hydrogen-powered Tuscon is coming next spring, there's no time like the present to lower hurdles.
Here's how Hyundai is trying to remove your worries. First, if you want to have an extended test drive, you can go rent a fuel cell Tuscon at participating Enterprise locations, starting next spring. Nothing was said about buying one of these SUVs outright, but after putting $2,999 down, you will be able to lease the H2 Tuscon for $499 a month for 36 months, and that includes "unlimited free hydrogen refueling" and a hydrogen version of the "At Your Service Valet Maintenance." Since there are only ten public hydrogen refueling stations in the US, and nine of them are in California, it makes sense that the Tuscon will be available only in the Golden State, specifically at just four dealerships. Hyundai said in a statement that, "Availability of the Tucson Fuel Cell will expand to other regions of the country consistent with the accelerating deployment of hydrogen refueling stations." In other words, don't hold your breath.
Speaking at the unveiling, Hyundai Motor America CEO John Krafcik praised the hydrogen work that Honda and Toyota are doing here at the show and said, "We think fuel cell technology will increase the adoption rate of zero-emission vehicles, and we'll all share the environmental benefits." In the Tuscon, that means an estimated 300-mile range and a refill time of under 10 minutes along with the instant torque of an electric motor. We'll be most interested to see how that plays out in the marketplace. Feel free to read more in the press release below.

Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites

Sun, Jan 7 2024

Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
