I am required for a new job to get another set of wheels or otherwise i would keep what is a really good car. You can speak to my mechanic when you come to inspect. It has a new timing chain. New brakes. I changed all hoses and water pump about 8 months not because there was anything wrong but because i do this to avoid overheating conditions....a stupid $10 water hose popping can cost you a transmission job a few weeks later which most people do not know is the case. It does probably about 23 Mpg. Clean in and out. Front seat covers included. I am near Western Ave and Slauson in Los Angeles. Se habla POCO espanol. IMPORTANT this is not an accident or mechanical salvage. The carpet got wet a bit which became an insurance claim and once they see that, they do not want to fix it.....they just salvage it. The insurance company's stupidity becomes your opportunity since this car is selling for about $800 less than it is worth. You can easily keep this car for another 8 years easy with good maintenance and still sell it for about $1500 to $2000 in 8 years or so. I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone and it may sell outside ebay as i have it advertized elsewhere too.

Please note: Ebay reports this as a ONE owner car. We live in an information society but sometimes it's under-informed or mis-informed. As far as i know i am the second owner. As far as i know there was never an accident for this car. As explained above, the car has seen a claim because the carpet got wet....it may have been a legitimate claim, it may have been a made up claim, but it is about on the scale of if you dropped a large bottle of water on the carpet! This sets the insurance industry into a frenzy and they declare it a salvage to save time and trouble. There you have it. I have driven this car for about 23,000 miles with no problem. So  much for quality information on ebay.

If you need a good car, you have the funding and you have the drive to complete the transaction, look no more. I have the pink  slip. What i would like to do is go to my bank with you with cash, drive with you to DMV with my pink slip, transfer ownership to you and you are off to the races.

Hyundai ix25 Concept foreshadows B-segment CUV

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

Hyundai introduced an all-new crossover concept to the crowds at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, showing the ix25, a near-production concept that heralds the arrival of a new compact CUV for the People's Republic.
Boasting Hyundai's "Fluidic Sculpture 2.0," the ix25 is a handsome little soft-roader that we could see slotting in nicely below the vehicle we call Tucson (the rest of the globe knows it as the ix35), and would serve as the entry point for Hyundai's Chinese CUV range. Under hood sits a familiar 2.0-liter, "Nu" four-cylinder, which we've sampled in assorted Hyundais and Kias over the years.
At 168 inches long it's ten inches shorter than a Ford Escape and five inches longer than the Soul, from sister company Kia. Despite these differences, the ix25 Concept's wheelbase is less than an inch longer (eight-tenths to be exact) than the Soul's 101.2-inches. More notably, the ix25 is roughly the size of the new Chevrolet Trax.

Hyundai deferring car payments for furloughed federal workers

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Since the US government shut down early this morning, more than 800,000 federal employees could be furloughed without pay until a deal is reached to start the government back up. To help affected employees cope with the temporary layoffs, Hyundai is expanding its Assurance program to defer all of their auto loan or lease payments until they're called back to work.
"We recognize the impact on family budgets that the furlough will drive," says John Krafcik, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America. The automaker also says it will allow furloughed employees to buy new cars during October with help from a 90-day payment deferral.
We're sure Hyundai's act of goodwill relieves some of the stress that furloughed Hyundai owners and their families are experiencing. Check out the press release below.

2015 will be the biggest year ever for cars at CES

Fri, Jan 2 2015

Like the SEMA Show, major automakers are paying increasing attention to the CES, with 2015 expected to be one of the most auto focused yet. Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, General Motors, Hyundai, Mazda, Audi, BMW and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will all be in attendance when CES 2015 kicks off next week, taking up a record-breaking 165,000 square feet of space at the Las Vegas Convention Center. "We've come a long way from a single car on a carpet," Ford's Alan Hall told Bloomberg. Unlike SEMA, or a more traditional auto show, like the upcoming festivities in Detroit, CES doesn't necessarily focus on entire cars or the way they perform, but on the way our technology will interact with vehicles, and in how those vehicles will deliver information to drivers. "CES has become a major launch point for a lot of the big automakers," IHS tech analyst Mark Boyadjis told Bloomberg. "CES is a way for them to get on a global stage for technology." As for what kind of wares automakers will trot out in Las Vegas, we already know that BMW will show off an autonomous i3 electric car that can navigate its way through a multistory car park and can be hailed via a smartwatch app. According to Bloomberg, Hyundai will show off its own smartwatch app for the Genesis sedan, while Audi and Mercedes-Benz will show off autonomous vehicles next week. Automakers won't be the only companies looking to capitalize on CES. Tech firms, like chipmaker Nvidia, are becoming increasingly involved in the automotive game and will be in town showing their wares off to OEMs. "Two years ago, our booth would have been filled with PCs and people playing video games," Danny Shapiro, Nvidia's senior director for automotive business, told Bloomberg. "This year we made a strategic decision to shift the focus of the booth on automotive and de-prioritize some of the other things." Needless to say, you can expect to see a lot of news out of Las Vegas come next week. Stay tuned.
