This offered for sale is a 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS very, VERY nice vehicle, it runs and drives out perfect. It's a nice vehicle inside and out, everything works perfect as it should. I got a fresh safety inspect and emission so it's ready to go. It shows it has been serviced since it has been new with the oil and filter being changed regular. The body is real nice, not beat up and the paint is silver in real good shape and shiny, the interior is very nice and clean. This vehicle drives out great, you will be very pleased on how well it looks and drives I believe you will be able to drive it with no issues for a long time, there is no issues currently and none to be expected. This car was adult owned, not hurt and serviced regular, I just replaced a new front axle shaft and bearing, front brakes and rotors replaced, new valve cover gasket replaced, oil and filter changed and a new battery plus a 4 wheel alignment. It runs at normal operating temperature as well as normal oil pressure. The AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION shifts out great in all 4 gears and the converter goes into lock out good that LOWERS the RPM for better gas miles. All of the drive train fluids (engine oil, transmission fluid and engine antifreeze) is clean and shows this car has been serviced regular. I have kept the car in top shape. We got the car from the original owner 2 years ago and they always had the oil and filter changed every 3000 miles at the Hyundai dealer and I have been doing the same at my shop. ------------------------------ THE BODY This is one clean vehicle. Very nice condition no wreck or parking lot damage This car was rust proofed when it was new so it's a rust free car. NO RUST THE PAINT JOB is great . The brakes stop normal. The exhaust is quite, the goes down the road straight when you let go the the steering wheel --------------------------

Hyundai tops VW and Buick in China, survey says
Wed, Apr 15 2015You may be aware of the long-time competition in China between Volkswagen and Buick, but another brand apparently should be in that conversation too: Hyundai. In a recently published annual consumer survey, the Korean company actually took the top spot to beat out its German and American rivals in second and third, respectively. The results were part of the China Brand Power Index that interviewed 11,500 people around the nation and was paid for by the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. While Hyundai proved popular with voters, its sales haven't necessarily shown that yet. According to Bloomberg, the brand had falling numbers in China for the first quarter of the year. Even Ford outsold the South Korean automaker in the same period, despite scoring lower on the survey. Meanwhile, Audi ranked as the populace's favorite luxury brand, which is hardly a surprise given the Four Rings' strong sales in China. In January alone the automaker saw a 15-percent boost in volume there. Parent company VW's strong performance was somewhat more surprising, though. State media severely criticized the German automaker in March, and customers protested last year for the allegedly poor handling of a recall.

Hyundai increase the range of its Tucson Fuel Cell by 30 percent. The next generation of the hydrogen powered Hyundai is expected in early 2018, and range will jump from 265 miles on a full tank to 348 miles. Hyundai to fight $248M judgment over fatal Montana crash
Fri, 16 May 2014A Montana jury has levied a $248 million ruling against Hyundai in the case of a crash that killed two occupants in July 2011. The automaker plans to appeal the ruling.
Cousins Trevor and Tanner Olson were driving a 2005 Hyundai Tiburon when they hit another vehicle head-on. According to lawyers representing their family, the steering knuckle on the car cracked and this allegedly caused it to lose control. Hyundai claimed that fireworks had been let off inside the vehicle, which caused the driver to swerve. The company alleges that evidence that could have proved its innocence was barred from the case.
The jury found in favor of the family and awarded them about $8 million in damages after a two-week trial. It claimed that Hyundai had shown "actual malice," according to Reuters. The jurors also slammed Hyundai with a further $240 million in punitive damages.
