2002 Hyundai Elantra Gls on 2040-cars
Fords, New Jersey, United States
Hello. im selling a used 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLs...It is the perfect first car for new driver, or a "get around" car. It has 115862 miles on it. (at time of listing) my wife will be driving car to go to work until its sold. I am second owner. I bought this car 2 years ago for my daughter to get back and forth from high school. She is away in college now so she will not need this anymore. I recently put a new battery in, and besides oil changes this is only thing car needed. It has been very reliable car for her. The tires have plenty of life in them. The car does have a dent in driver side front fender, and a little surface rust on back passenger rear panel, this is how I purchased it, it also has normal dings and scratches for a 12 yr old car hope the pics provided show this. There is also a squeaking noise that comes from rear of car, this is being caused by a baffle mechanism from inside gas tank, and its no way harmful to you or the car. To fix it my mechanic said he would have to drop the gas tank...it was cheaper for me to hear the squeaking every once a while.. :) Being as honest as I possibly can be. Any questions, or a test drive feel free to message me and I will get back to you ASAP. I live in central NJ...very close to Staten Island and rest of NYC Thanks so much for checking out my auction, and good luck. ** Selling car locally as well, so have right to end auction early** |

2013 Hyundai ix35 is a freshened-up Euro-Tucson
Wed, 06 Mar 2013In places that aren't the United States, Hyundai calls its Tucson compact crossover the ix35. And as part of its Geneva Motor Show presence, the Korean automaker has debuted this freshened version of the C-segment CUV, showing some minor tweaks to an otherwise attractive package.
The most noticeable changes are found up front, where a revised grille slots in between newly designed headlamps that now feature LED running lights. Around back, the taillamps have also been given the nip/tuck treatment, and it appears some redesigned wheels have been included in this update, as well.
Hyundai has fitted its ix35 with a new, direct-injected version of its 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine (with undisclosed power figures, natch). And when it comes time to put that power to the road, driver's will be able to use a new selectable electric power steering system similar to what's on the Elantra GT and Santa Fe Sport, with normal, comfort and sport modes.
Hyundai HG350 ready to take on Europe's Transits and Sprinters
Sun, 28 Sep 2014Here in North America, Hyundai has been historically known as a purveyor of affordable, content-laden everyday cars and crossovers. More recently, it's also been pushing upmarket and attempting to gain respect for its sporting joneses. In other parts of the world, however, the Korean automaker is a major force in commercial vehicles, providing everything from chassis cabs and dump trucks to fullsize motor coaches. Now, it's looking to push further overseas, squarely into Europe's already mature van business with this new HG350, a new commercial vehicle that will form the basis for a cargo van, passenger transport and flatbed truck.
This three-pronged approach will see Hyundai fighting directly against the new Ford Transit, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and models like the recently overhauled Fiat Ducato/Peugeot Boxer twins. The rear-drive, six-speed manual-equipped range is available in 3.5-ton cargo or flatbed spec, or in 4.0-ton guise with as many as 15 seats. The cargo version, incidentally, can hold up to 456 cubic feet of stuff. Regardless of configuration, power comes from a common-rail diesel displacing 2.5 liters with either 148 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque or 168 hp and 311 lb-ft.
With the American market finally embracing Euro-style cargo vans, does that mean that Hyundai might bring the HG350 here? Not likely. "While a heck of a vehicle, this isn't anything we are seriously considering right now for the US market," Jim Trainor, Hyundai Motor America's national manager of product public relations, tells Autoblog.
Reader Spy: 2012 Hyundai Accent hatchback caught napping
Mon, 05 Jul 2010 2012 Hyundai Accent hatchback - Click above for high-res image gallery
Eagle-eyed Autoblog reader James spotted a camouflaged compact hatchback sitting in a parking lot in South Korea the other day, and fortunately for us, he had a camera with him. At first glance, this is obviously a new Hyundai based on the upward sweeping crease along the side that is characteristic of Hyundai's new 'fluidic sculpture' design language.
Closer examination indicates that this is almost certainly the five-door hatchback version of the new Verna/Accent that debuted at the Beijing Motor Show in April. The wheels are the same as the ones we saw on the Verna and the side crease extends ahead of the door cut-line which differs from the Elantra that debuted a week later at the Busan show in Korea.
