This is my baby and I have dreaded this day for a very long time but the day has come and I am selling her. This is a 2005 Hummer H2 SUT with a Duramax and Allison Transmission. This thing is amazing I have loved driving this thing ever since I bought it. This was my daily driver so it does have 81,000 miles on it but they say a Duramax doesn't fully break in until 100,000 and it may not be perfect but I took great care of it so it is in good condition. The swap cost about $125,000 on its own on top of the price of the Hummer itself. I drove this thing like a baby but boy when you need it too it just goes and I have never had an issue with it. The swap was done by company in town called Sin City Hummers which they put in the LLY Duramax and The 5 speed Allison with the transfer case so it has 4WD and it looks like it came from the factory. Then I brought it over to PPE to make it even better. PPE upgraded the transmission to a stage four so the thing is nearly bulletproof plus a billet torque converter and then I had them install injector tips from DDP which add 75 extra horsepower and fuel efficiency. They also added a lifter pump, a better intake billet tie rod sleeves and four inch exhaust. All this work was defiantly worth it because this thing screams and it still drives extremely smooth. After that I also had them add a new fiber glass hood and a custom front push bar which makes it look amazing. Now once all the performance stuff was done I moved on the the luxury part of the vehicle. I have headrest tvs put in the back seat with individual DVD players in each one, I added a 1200 watt amp with a ten inch sub under the backseat, I had a Viper alarm system installed with remote start, I also had a Whelen intercom system installed, then most recently I had them put in an JVC head unit with an iPod hook up and with bluetooth so you can have hands free calling also it is XM ready plus I had a back up camera put in that turns on when you put the truck in reverse. I also got 35 inch tires with 17 inch rims put on it but the tires are pretty worn so I am going to sell the truck with a different set of rims and tires on it which are almost brand new and the tires have about 90% tread left. The tires are Toyo Open Country's 35x12.50x17LT and the rims are 17 inch from Robby Gordan's company. I will include a picture of the new tires below. Now don't forget the vehicle was bought fully loaded on top of all of the stuff I added. It had heated seats front and rear, OnStar, cruise control, power everything, Bose sound system, Amp power steps, extra tire carrier and a very nice interior to boot. Believe me this thing was my baby so it was serviced regularly at my local dealership and was always kept in top condition. I hope whoever decides to buy this vehicle will love it as much as I did and I know whoever does this thing will treat them right. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and on that note happy bidding!!!

Mil-Spec 003 First Drive Review | The ultimate Hummer H1
Fri, Oct 5 2018We're in something of a golden age for automotive restomodding, and into a heady mix that includes Singer's reimagined 911s, Icon's fancy off-roaders, and lots of updated Land Rovers. The latest company with ambitions to become a top-tier custom car brand is Mil-Spec, which aims to do what the aforementioned companies do, but with the big, brash, blunt Hummer H1. And in particular, the company is aiming to make its Hummers a compelling alternative to a used Hummer H1 Alpha. The Alpha is generally considered to be the best of the breed with the most powerful diesel engine offered, larger brakes, and a nicer interior compared with its predecessors. To find out whether the company's early efforts live up to that ambition, Mil-Spec invited us to drive their third completed vehicle, Mil-Spec 003. It started life as a 1995 Hummer H1, and as with all of Mil-Spec's vehicles, it was completely disassembled, and the body and frame media-blasted down to metal. The frame and related components are then powder-coated with a black gloss finish. The truck's aluminum body, in this case a four-door hardtop pickup variant, but is coated in a resilient bedliner-like material designed for easy care. Bits of Kevlar are mixed in with the material for strength, and it can be tinted different colors and have rougher or finer textures. Underneath the body, one of the five different engines that were available on the H1, usually a diesel V8, is replaced with a 6.6-liter Duramax LBZ turbodiesel V8. This engine was available on heavy duty Chevy and GMC pickup trucks, and a related engine was used in the Hummer H1 Alpha. Whereas the engine in the H1 Alpha made 300 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque mated to a 5-speed automatic, the Mil-Spec's LBZ has had turbo upgrades and a different ECU tune allowing it to produce 500 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque. It's also coupled to an Allison 1000 6-speed automatic transmission. The mechanical upgrades don't stop with the engine and transmission. The inboard brakes are given drilled and vented discs, and an ARB Air Locker locking rear differential fitted. Dual auxiliary transmission coolers also make an appearance and can be switched on as needed. The 003 received 20-inch wheels with 38-inch mud terrain tires, but larger tires can be added if desired.

Hummer H2 burns to a crisp; now the owner won't need the hoarded gas
Fri, May 14 2021Here's your daily Autoblog public service announcement: Don't hoard gasoline, but if you do, absolutely do not let 20 gallons of it catch fire inside your 2004 Hummer H2. You might end up, as a Florida owner learned the hard way, with a very crispy Hummer. According to CBS affiliate WABI, in Citrus County Fire Rescue was called out to the scene at a Homosassa, Florida, Texaco station yesterday morning. The Hummer owner had just filled four five-gallon jerry cans' worth of fuel and placed them in the back of the vehicle. It's not clear what started the fire, but when emergency crews arrived the SUV was already, as the kids say, fire. The vehicle was a total loss. Photos show it completely singed and missing the hood and windows. One fender sat forlornly on the ground nearby. One injury was reported, but the individual refused to be taken to the hospital. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection was called in to handle the fuel cleanup. There's been a run on gasoline across the eastern seaboard due to a shortage caused by Colonial Pipeline, one of the major refined petroleum pipelines on the East Coast. Due to lax cybersecurity measures, the company fell victim to a ransomware attack, which shut down its operations over the weekend. Hackers based in Russia demanded a payout of $5 million to release control of Colonial Pipeline's computer systems, and Colonial paid up and has since resumed operations. Between fires, fights and admonitions by politicians not to hoard — probably one of the few things Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and President Joe Biden agree on — that's probably good advice to follow. Gas stations should be resupplied in many affected areas within days. In Tampa, Florida, a third of the city's gas stations were out of fuel on Thursday. In Miami, outages stood at nearly 40% and growing as residents rapidly filled up their tanks. The outages would make sense if the largest U.S. gasoline pipeline served those cities. But it does not. South Florida is seeing the worst outages among areas not directly impacted by the line closure. "If you want a perfect case for where hoarding has made the situation what it is, that's southern Florida," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. "They should not be having any issues at all - they get gasoline from a barge." Statewide, about a third of gas stations are out of product, according to GasBuddy.
