Fewer automakers than usual spent money advertising during Super Bowl LVII. In total, there were only five traditional ad spots from three big OEMs. A number of car-adjacent ads aired during the Big Game, too, and we’ll bring you those ads in this roundup alongside the more obvious ones. We're also told there are "options being designed to extend range in satisfying ways," so if this truck isn't right for you, you have choices. All the commercial's missing is a silly medical marketing name and six seconds of speed-reading gibberish about side effects like intestinal bleeding and death. Which are two more good things. Jeep 4xe Super Bowl commercial highlights modern version of 'Electric Boogie' JeepÂ’s “Electric Boogie” commercial follows the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe in a variety of simulated off-road situations. Though fun, the soundtrack is the real star of the show. The songÂ’s original artist, Marcia Griffiths, was joined by Grammy winner Shaggy, Jamila Falak, Amber Lee, and Moyann on the track. The modernized re-recording celebrates 40 years since GriffithsÂ’ original track, and Jeep says the track is available for streaming now. Zero South, a company that popped up at SEMA in 2008, is back again with its Biodiesel Electric Hummer. The heavily modified H1 rides on tracks at all four corners - a necessary modification, since this Hummer is designed for an expedition to the South Pole.
The trip is going to be documented by Chris Paine, who's best known for the film Who Killed the Electric Car? It was reported back in 2008 that the vehicle was going to be driven by Buzz Aldrin and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. The film is called Drive Around the World and was shot in 3D. Drive Around the World is also the name of an organization that works to inspire an urge to explore while raising money for various charities. The H1 shown above is Zero South's vehicle for participating in these expeditions.

Tupac Shakur's 1996 Hummer H1 is for sale

Tupac Shakur purchased this 1996 Hummer H1 on August 13,1996. This was just one month before the singer's death. It was his personal vehicle for a brief time and the last vehicle the rapper ever purchased. Now it's up for auction to the highest bidder. It comes with a 6.5-liter turbodiesel V8 engine, an automatic transmission, and only 10,101 miles on the odometer. There are also 38-inch Dick Cepek off-road lights, a 360-degree spotlight, grille guard, and diamond-plate bumpers. An external PA system with three sirens and 12-disc Clarion sound system are also part of the package. The car was held in storage after Tupac's death, and eventually became a prize in a 2003 BET raffle. It is currently sitting in storage again in Vancouver, Canada awaiting the right buyer. RR Auction estimates its value at over $100,000 so it'll take some serious cash to put this car in your driveway.
