2002 Hummer H1 Wagon - Immaculate Condition/fully Customized! 32,805 Miles! on 2040-cars
Raleigh, North Carolina, United States
You are looking at the most amazing custom HUMMER H1 you will see anywhere! Over $140,000 invested in it and only 32,805 miles!!!
It is a 2002 that has had nearly every conceivable upgrade done to it. Many of the mechanical components have been upgraded to enhance performance and fuel efficiency. I get about 12.5 MPH on average which is significantly better than my GMC Denali. Photos really do not this this justice. Everywhere I drive it turns heads from every corner! Other H1 drivers hang their heads in shame when I pull up in mine! Even every kid in carpool line stares and points to it. It really is amazing in person. The upgrades are many more than I can list here as I don't know all of them. I am not a technician but my techs looked it over and said it is top shelf what was done to it and the operating condition it is in. It currently has ONLY 32,805 miles (odometer replaced at 17,585 miles as odometer failures are common on Hummers). The replacement sticker is adjacent to the factory sticker on drivers door jamb and I attached a photo of it. The standard features everyone knows so I won't bore you listing them. The upgrades and highlights are below: * 32,805 miles * Most amazing stereo/av system I have ever seen or heard - its a concert hall inside with a separate Focal 3 SB27KX subwoofer and 6 speakers and can be heard crystal clear a mile away! * Upgraded full burled wood dashboard/interior throughout cabin from AM GENERAL * Full 2,000 lb capacity deluxe bush guard safari rack system with ladder - all powder coated * Safari headlight and taillight grilles * Front and read towing capacity with tow hooks * $2000 italian MOMO ZOBRANO wood racing steering wheel and shifter handles * Billet racing pedals * Automatic self inflating/deflating tire system (CTIF - CENTRAL TIRE INFLATION SYSTEM with RUN FLAT TIRE SYSTEM) - so nice to not have to get an air hose!! Just push a button and tires inflate. * Built in Escort 9500 CI satellite linked radar detector * PIAA lights * Perforated "black Knight" HEATED race leather seats * Python security system * Remote starting of the vehicle with the key fob (great for cold days) * All exterior racking system components are powder coated * twin fuel tanks - approx 20 and 15 gal * redesigned hood air intake to allow for greater air flow to engine and for cooling * Tires in great condition with no dry rot or cracking. Nearly full tread remains. * Brake pads and rotors replaced within past 5k miles according to the previous owner (I have put 700 miles on it) * Powdercoated matching interior rear storage racking system * Rugged rubber Hummer floor mats * Undercarriage protection system and skid plates * 3 TV screens (Driver - yes its nuts!, passenger and rear central roof flip down TV with game system). * Front and rear LED marker lights * Air filter meter * Engine run time meter * Custom high powered alternator * New rubber duck PDM * 2 new interstate batteries (within past year) * Automatic heated side view mirrors * Custom chrome exhaust tip * Chrome Hummer heavy duty adjustable trailer hitch * Rear view camera seen on Driver's TV/stereo monitor * Bluetooth hands free phone with audio input, iPod input 3 items to note: 1) there are a few small areas where a rock hit the paint and it was touched up (the vehicle is 12 years old with 32,000+ miles - its not perfect), 2) the passenger front dash cover near the knees is slightly loose due to the tv monitor placement, and 3) there is some fogging in the lower right corner of the passenger front windshield. As you can tell it has just about everything you could want! It really is an amazing vehicle. I'm selling it because I have too many vehicles and I don't drive it except to keep the fluids moving in it and I don't have space for it. Whoever gets this will be the king of the hill. Please feel free to contact Garrett Garcia at 919.427.2607 if you have any questions or want specific photos of anything. The H1 is in Raleigh, NC and is available for viewing in-person. This sale is AS-IS WHERE IS with NO WARRANTY (implied or otherwise) upon transfer so I am offering inspections prior to purchase. |

2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 back on the market after charity auction
Mon, Feb 27 2023The charity auctions at this year's Barrett-Jackson event in Arizona pulled in the usual millions for good causes. Nevertheless, there were no shocking result among the sales like the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette VIN 001 that hammered for $3.7 million in 2022 or the 2022 GMC Hummer EV pickup VIN 001 that hammered for $2.5 million in 2021. In fact, the best result for hammer prices this year was a GMC Hummer EV SUV VIN001 that brought in $500,000, quite a ways down on its bedded sibling. Seems the purchaser decided a little bit of battery-electric arbitrage might be the play, because the SUV is going back up for sale. As caught by CarBuzz, a new member to the Hummer Chat forum started a thread, "Barrett Jackson VIN #1 SUV available." According to the poster who calls himself Bill, "Tread Lightly, the charity organization that the funds went to, aligns well with our company and we were excited to participate with them, however, the Hummer should go to a true enthusiast or collector." The post says Barrett-Jackson "is interested in" putting the Hummer in front of audiences at the Palm Beach auction event April 13-15 or at the Vegas event June 22-24. The vehicle's apparently been built and will be titled in Arizona. It's a loaded Edition 1 in Moonshot Green Matte with a Lunar Shadow interior and three motors making roughly 830 horsepower. There are transparent sky panels that open to create the open-air "Infinity Roof," 14-speaker Bose audio, Super Cruise, Crab Walk and Watts to Freedom mode. Naturally, the seller is willing to part with this bit of history before April and at first said he is ready to "consider a reasonable offer for the vehicle." We're not sure if that means more than $500,000. If so, and without the charity component — the reason these vehicles bring in so much money so often — we suspect such an asking price would be a tough draw. A look at Cars & Bids results for GMC Hummer EV pickups in Edition 1 trim shows prices that regularly surpassed $200,000 last summer are now down to around $160,000. However, two posts later, Bill says his company is "open to all offers." The Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 retail version will reach begin reaching owners by the end of Q1 this year, which isn't far away. It cost $105,595 when it could be reserved.
Mil-Spec M1-R First Drive Review | The ultimate Hummer H1 gets better
Fri, Apr 9 2021In 2018, we got our first introduction to Mil-Spec, a company that sought to do to Hummer H1s what other resto-mod companies like Singer and Icon have done to other classic cars. Its initial run of hopped-up Hummers showed quite a bit of promise with an array of mechanical upgrades, including a particularly potent and entertaining diesel engine, plus major improvements to interior livability and luxury. As good as the initial trucks were, Mil-Spec wanted to do even better. It focused on details such as better materials and ergonomics for what it’s calling the second-generation of restored H1s. And all those upgrades are on display in the M1-R, which takes the second-gen M1 and adds some pretty extreme customer-requested modifications. @autoblog WhatÂ’s that? Oh nothing, just a Mil-Spec M1-R rolling on by ##autoblog ##hummer ##m1r ##custom ##fyp ? original sound - Autoblog As with all Mil-Spec Hummers, the M1-R received a comprehensive restoration, taking the body and frame down to bare metal. It was recoated in a durable bedliner-style material made with bits of Kevlar. This particular one was given a tint to make it look like one of the factory H1 colors, Competition Yellow. Steel off-road bumpers, a front brush guard, rear tubular tire rack, fender flares and door panels finished in plain black add contrast and help give it a more rough-and-tumble look. The simple and rugged 20-inch Black Rhino wheels look right at home on the truck, too, especially wrapped in the 38-inch off-road tries. Most of the improvements in the second-gen M1 are found within the cabin. As before, every upholstered surface is made of leather, in this case with diamond stitching that the customer requested. ItÂ’s all done in-house (fun fact, Mil-Spec is now also doing upholstery for private jets). Virtually every non-upholstered surface is made from machined aluminum. That includes the steering wheel, climate control knobs, air vents, window switches, turn signal stalks, even the custom-made ignition key. They all look and feel superb with hefty weight and crisp edges. The toggle switches are a particular treat and return a light, mechanical click with each press. Some of them are a little tough to reach as a result of the HummerÂ’s strange interior layout, but that would be the case even in a stock Hummer. These aluminum pieces are a massive step up from the plastic rocker switches and air vents used on previous Mil-Spec Hummers.
Mil-Spec built a one-off, track-ready Hummer H1
Mon, Sep 24 2018Mil-Spec is one of the latest companies looking for success with restored and modified versions of iconic vehicles. Rather than Porsche 911s or '60s trucks and SUVs, its canvases are Hummer H1s. The customer vehicles are big, brash off-road machines, but that's not all the company is capable of. We recently learned that the crew over there built a Hummer H1 meant for race track use, and it is amazing. The base vehicle is a four-door convertible pickup truck, and Mil-Spec thoroughly changed the suspension. It has custom coilovers with stiff springs, and the entire suspension geometry has been revised. Overall, it was lowered a stunning seven inches compared with a stock H1. The H1's in-board brakes now feature six-piston brake calipers, and the wheels are wrapped in low-profile Pirelli P-Zero tires. Also impressive is the fact that the truck still has a part-time four-wheel-drive system. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Under the hood is a 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V8 similar to that in the customer models. But this one has been tuned all the way up to 800 horsepower and 1,500 pound-feet of torque. This engine also plays a role in this truck's origins. Apparently the truck was used for final powertrain testing and development. But it was also built to highlight the company's capabilities. If you want one of these, well, you can't have one. At least not yet. We asked a Mil-Spec representative, and he told us that there are no plans for offering track-oriented H1s. That's understandable, since the company is still working through building and selling its initial run of 12 off-road-ready vehicles. He did say the truck has generated a lot of interest, though. So, maybe when the company has time, and if a really wealthy buyer really wanted one, maybe the Mil-Spec could work something out. But at least in the meantime, the company is sticking to tall, chunky-tired H1s. Related Video:
