You are bidding on a 2000 Honda S2000.  It is Grand Prix White with a Red and Black leather interior.  It has just under 42k miles.  Everything works perfectly as it should, and it runs like a dream.  The interior is exceptional with only minor wear on the driver's bolster.  The exterior is immaculate with no scratches or dings.  It has received regular oil changes and comes with all maintenance records since day one.  Original owner purchased it new from Curry Honda in Atlanta GA and always had it maintained at Hilton Head Honda.  Second owner purchased it with 24,235 miles and has had it since then.  He did all maintenance on his own, except that Honda replaced the EVAP canister in 2013.  Valve adjustment was done at 15k miles along with a major service.  All four tires were replaced recently and have plenty of tread life.  I haven't measured, but would guess between 70 and 90%.  Top is in excellent condition as pictured, with no tears or scratches.  Rear plastic window is clear and supple.

The Carfax is incorrect about ownership history.  Original owner until 24k miles, second owner until 41k miles, and then me.  I purchased it in the winter planning to track it with my brother, but we both decided to sell our cars and purchase one and share it.  The S2000 has never been tracked or autocrossed.  Both previous owners were over 50 years old.  The accident on Carfax is not correct.  It was in October 2007 and only required replacing the bumper and front driver's fender.  The repair was done properly and is perfect.  I have the repair record on hand.  It is an early production S2000 and does have "clutch buzz" from the factory.  Clutch is in excellent shape, and everything works perfectly as it did when it left the factory in 2000.  Please email with any questions.

Honda To Expand Takata Air Bag Recall Nationwide

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Under pressure from federal regulators, Honda is expanding a recall of driver's side air bags to all 50 states. The air bags, made by Japanese supplier Takata Corp., can explode with too much force, sending metal shrapnel into the passenger compartment. Takata insists that current recalls covering 8 million U.S. cars in high-humidity areas are sufficient. But the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration wants the recalls expanded nationwide after some incidents outside the high-humidity zones. Rick Schosteck, Honda's executive vice president for North America, told House lawmakers Wednesday that Honda will expand the regional recall it began in June, but will continue to prioritize high-humidity areas. He also said Honda is working with other air bag manufacturers to make sure it has enough parts. Related Gallery Consumer Reports Least Loved Cars 2014 Recalls Honda Safety NHTSA list

Honda readying Veloster-rivaling concept for Beijing?

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

Maybe the rumors of the CR-Z's death have been exaggerated. Honda has just released the first teaser of a new concept that it plans to debut at the Beijing Motor Show at the end of April. It shows off a sporty looking coupe that looks like the child of a CR-Z and Hyundai Veloster. However, the concept looks to be for the Chinese market, as it's a joint proposal with one of its domestic partners there, Guangqi Honda Automobile.
Unfortunately, we don't have any other details about the concept yet - not even a name. The teaser also doesn't give a very good indication of the car's size. It appears to be roughly the size of a small coupe, and if Honda hadn't already tried the idea with the CR-Z, you could almost see it as a modern CRX, but it could be a little bit larger, too.
In addition to the coupe concept at the Beijing show, Dongfeng Honda will premiere the concept for the next Spirior, which is the foreign version of the Accord. Guangqi Honda will also bring a mid-size SUV and the third-generation Fit. Acura will also be there and will have both the NSX Concept and a model of its powertrain. Is Acura working on a premium minivan?

Mon, 10 Nov 2014

Here's a vehicle that nobody saw coming. Unless Honda/Acura is keen to play tricks on us, our spy shooters recently caught what appears to be an Acura minivan fully camouflaged for testing on some back roads on a rainy day.
Details on the disguised minivan are rather scarce, but it certainly bares all the hallmarks of an Acura. The front grille alone gives it away with a look that mimics the latest MDX, and note that the orientation of the rear door handle heavily suggests that it slides to open. Moving inside, the tester appears to borrow some tech from the luxury brand's parts bin too, and the Acura logo seems to be covered in tape right in the middle of the steering wheel.
Mechanically, our spies believe that the production version of Acura's minivan might borrow the brand's V6, nine-speed automatic and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive - a similar layout to some trims of the TLX. The photographers also think that the vehicle is a little wider than the current Honda Odyssey to give occupants a bit more room. Given the more luxurious focus, the high-end model would surely carry seven people with a bit more opulence than the standard Odyssey, especially, we'd imagine, for second-row passengers. A launch for this posh hauler could be slated for the 2016 or 2017 model years.
