Vehicle Information
Selling my 2005 Honda S2000. Vehicle's exterior is Silverstone Metallic and Tan interior. The vehicle currently has 56,740 miles miles on it. It does come with a salvage title due to previous owner getting into an accident and insurance company totaling the car out. The vehicle did not have any frame damage or air bags deployed. The damage was on the left side of the vehicle and only the drivers door and the driver side rocker panel were replaced with OEM parts. The repairs were done about 7-8 months ago (~6000 miles ago) and I have been driving it ever since with no issues at all. I believe I am the third owner of the vehicle after buying it from the auction and rebuilding it. I still have the original window sticker, users manual, original service records and all the original paper work from when the vehicle was bought. I personally only replaced the interior with Tan interior since it gives it a much better contrast and rarity. The audio was replaced with Alpine TypeR components and JVC headunit. It is a big upgrade over the OEM equipment. The car also came with Espelir Lowering springs which gives it a pretty neat drop. Car currently has the original 225 Dirreza Start Specs that it came with, and the rear tires have been replaced with 255 RE050s. And some other minor mods were done by myself. Recently got it aligned and got the motor oil replaced with Amsoil 5w30. Brake pads were replaced with OEM honda pads about 1500 miles ago. The car was detailed to a full paint correction about 1000 miles ago by RomanAutoDetail. Customizations OEM Tan Interior including the carpets. JVC Headunit, bluetooth ready and aux compatible. Alpine TypeR Component Speakers. Espelir Lowering Springs. Ap1 Clutch Slave cylinder (No CDV) Shaved front bumper Windsheild frame tape removed. Cons. A 1 inch scratch on the drivers side when replacing the seats. I can get it touched up. Some rock chips on the front bumper. 1-2 dents on the passenger door. Salvage title but I can provide you the previous pictures of what the damage looked like. Tear on the top that has already been patched. Some wear on the driver seat. That rest of the interior is mint. Pictures. |

Honda CB350 and cafe racer culture explored by Electric Federal
Sun, 20 Oct 2013The latest video from Electric Federal covers one of our favorite aspects of motorcycle culture - café racers. In an interview with Adam "Gasser" Gaspic, the owner of Gasser Customs, EF takes a look at the culture and one of Gasser's latest offerings, a hopped-up Honda CB350, called the Silver Bullet.
Gasser has gone all-out on the Silver Bullet, replacing some of the body parts with fiberglass and delivering more than a few upgrades to the rebuilt engine. The brakes and suspension of the smaller bike also get some attention, as do some of the bike's aesthetics. Besides the upgrades, there's just something to be said for the sleek, minimalist nature of the little Honda.
Naturally, the videography is gorgeous, and it's a great look at a kind of motorcycling that seems to be overlooked in the world of sport bikes and Harley-Davidson-style cruisers. Take a look below for the full video.
J.D. Power study sees new car dependability problems increase for first time since 1998
Wed, 12 Feb 2014For the first time since 1998, J.D. Power and Associates says its data shows that the average number of problems per 100 cars has increased. The finding is the result of the firm's much-touted annual Vehicle Dependability Study, which charts incidents of problems in new vehicle purchases over three years from 41,000 respondents.
Looking at first-owner cars from the 2011 model year, the study found an average of 133 problems per 100 cars (PP100, for short), up 6 percent from 126 PP100 in last year's study, which covered 2010 model-year vehicles. Disturbingly, the bulk of the increase is being attributed to engine and transmission problems, with a 6 PP100 boost.
Interestingly, JDP notes that "the decline in quality is particularly acute for vehicles with four-cylinder engines, where problem levels increase by nearly 10 PP100." Its findings also noticed that large diesel engines also tended to be more problematic than most five- and six-cylinder engines.
Edmunds ranks the best used cars for 2013
Sun, 15 Sep 2013When people ask us what car we would recommend for them, it's usually not easy to answer. To make a useful recommendation we must consider which of the numerous vehicle segments fits their needs best, and then choose one of the many vehicles offered in each segment. For some people, new cars don't meet their expectations of value, because they lose so much of it the moment they are purchased and driven off the dealer lot. For them, there's always the used-car market, where great deals can be found, but cars' histories of reliability and maintenance records - and perhaps that Certified Pre-Owned warranty - become ever-important factors playing into purchase choice.
To help out, Edmunds has done us the favor of assembling a list of the best used vehicles money can buy, covering model years 2006-2011, according to what it considers the most important criteria when shopping for used autos: reliability, safety, value and availability. That means unreliable, unsafe, super-expensive or limited-edition models don't appear on the list, but instead cars from each segment that are more likely to satisfy the general population.
There are some real goodies on the list, including but not limited to vehicles such as the capable Honda Fit, the cultish Honda Accord coupe (which can be had with a 240-horsepower V6 and a six-speed manual transmission some years), and the powerful Chevrolet Corvette. While Edmunds' choice of the Volvo C70 for best used convertible baffled us at first (not that it's a bad car), it redeemed itself by stating that the Mazda MX-5 still is an unofficial top choice if you don't require more than two seats.
