Up for sale is a 2004 Honda s2000 in Silverstone Metallic exterior and Black Leather interior with a rebuilt salvage title. It has 105,528 miles and all maintenance is up to date. The miles will go up slightly due it being driven daily. Everything on the car is in perfect working condition, apart from a new driver it needs nothing. I've owned it for a little over a year and its been a blast to drive this car either with the top down or up, but due my business needing more funds I'm looking to sell this car.
The car was salvaged due to a front left collision damage. Airbags were not deployed. Only the left fender and the front bumper needed replacement. I have the receipts for the parts that were replaced and the work done. The damage was minimal which was the reason why I bought it in first place and trusted with my life for over a year. I do have the pictures of the damage if anyone wants to see them. Mechanically the car is very good condition, there are no leaks, no rattles or anything else. I used the car for commuting to work and it wasn't abused at race tracks or with engine modifications. On the outside, due to age it does have some rock chips and minor scratches, most of them on the hood but overall its in good condition. After a wash and wax the metallic paint shines up very nicely and it catches everyone's attention. The convertible top is in excellent condition with no tears. Wheels have some minor curb rash but all of the tires were changed ~2k miles ago. Interior is very clean with only the driver's seat bolster and the steering wheel showing signs of wear. Overall this a nice, dependable AP2 for a fair price. Cons-The hood is slightly damaged as it’s the original one from the accident, but since it’s a very small misalignment it was left on the car. Hood's can be found for $150-200 but to be honest it hasn't bothered me much for over a year so I never had it changed. There is also a small dent on the bottom side of the right rocker panel. Both of these are hard to notice in person unless I point them out. This is a No-Reserve auction. Please bid only if you have the funds available. Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
Honda updates Takata airbag recall status for some models
Fri, 07 Nov 2014The net enveloping vehicles in the Takata airbag inflator recall just seems to keep widening. Honda is now updating its previous campaign to revise the status for even more models that were ever registered in (or originally sold in) 13 high-humidity US states and territories.
All of these vehicles were included in the company's earlier repairs. However, at the time this fix was titled "a safety improvement campaign." This latest action upgrades that condition to "a formal recall," according to Honda's official statement. The models include: the 2003-2005 Honda Accord, 2001-2005 Civic (pictured above), 2002-2005 CR-V, 2003-2004 Element, 2002-2004 Odyssey, 2003-2005 Pilot, 2006 Ridgeline, 2003-2005 Acura MDX and the 2005 Acura RL. All of these need to have their passenger-side, front airbag inflator replaced, and the recall affects Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Saipan, Guam and American Samoa.
As with the rest of these affected vehicles, it's possible in a collision for the inflator to rupture spraying metal shrapnel at occupants. There are at least 139 injuries attributed to this problem from a variety of automakers so far. Among this latest population of vehicles, Honda says there have been no confirmed injuries or fatalities related to these exploding inflators.
