I recently purchased this vehicle under the worst case scenario of it requiring an engine rebuild but due to unforeseen circumstances I must sell this vehicle quickly.  Here is what I know about the car.  The previous owner stated it had an engine "knock" but it has been parked for over a year.  When I received the car I first determined that the alternator and battery were both bad so they have been removed and discarded but before doing so I was able to jump the car the get it in the garage but I did not hear a knock when doing so.  Plus it may need a clutch, but best case scenario it could just require the master and slave cylinder to be replaced.  Therefore, I can honestly state that I do not know what the status is on the engine, worst case scenario it will need a rebuild but for the price you will still be well below book value (even if you do a swap).

I did find that it has an aftermarket header, Eibach coil-overs, upgraded front sway bar and bushings, and upgraded rear lower tie rods.  The interior is not bad and will require a few missing screws and it does not have a radio.  It has an aftermarket steering wheel and the driver seat does have a small tear but it is at the seam and could easily be repaired.  As far as the electronics, I was able to verify that the top, windows, locks, headlights, fan controls, and instrument panel all function properly.  The exterior has aftermarket fiberglass fenders that just need some missing bolts near the headlights to have them align correctly, it has an ap2 front bumper, and aftermarket steel hood.  It appears that it was painted a primer white but the original color is red.

Upon winning the auction a $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours via paypal and shipping arrangements are to be made by the buyer.  Remainder of payment is to be made with either cashiers check, cash, money order, or can arrange wire transfer.  Contact me with any questions.

Honda recalls nearly 350k Odyssey minivans over unintended braking

Sun, 03 Nov 2013

A problem reported with the Vehicle Safety Assist System has prompted Honda and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall for Odyssey minivans from the 2007 and 2008 model years.
The issue revolves around a combination of parts and software that have been reported to cause the vehicle to brake hard and unexpectedly, without illuminating the brake lights. Imagine driving behind one of these vehicles when the malfunction occurs and you can easily understand how an unexpected rear-end collision could ensue.
Unfortunately, Honda won't be able to fix the problem until next spring, at which point the manufacturer will call in the 344,187 units affected into their local dealership for a fix. In the meantime, Honda will instruct owners on how to avoid the situation. For further details, see the full recall notice below.

Honda and Mario Andretti cite pedestrians for excessive slowness

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

Honda and the Andretti family have a lot to celebrate at the moment. Andretti Autosport driver Ryan Hunter-Reay won the 2014 Indianapolis 500 in his Honda-powered car, and Marco Andretti, Mario's grandson, also managed to take the third step on the podium. Apparently, the victory is making them feel magnanimous because Honda and Mario Andretti are giving the chance to ride with him in a two-seat, open wheel car.
To promote the contest, they created the Honda Speed Patrol to ticket anyone going too slow. It's an interesting idea, and the chance to ride with Andretti would be the opportunity of a lifetime. Perhaps the biggest shock of the video, though, might be when you realize how short Mario is when you see him milling about in public. Scroll down to watch one of America's most respected racers cite people in Chicago for being too slow.

Honda speeds down memory lane with its first F1 car

Fri, 22 Nov 2013

Though most Formula One teams are based in the UK, they hail from places all around the world. There are teams from Russia, India and Malaysia, but in the 1960s, the idea of an F1 team coming from as far away as Japan was unthinkable in what was a predominantly European racing series. That's just the notion that Honda aimed to upset when it entered the car you see here in the 1964 Formula One World Championship.
With a 1.5-liter V12 dispensing 220 horsepower through a six-speed manual (its shifter necessitating the steering wheel mounted left-of-center), the 1964 Honda RA271 was built around an aluminum monocoque in a package that looks like a Formula Vee car you could erect in your garage, but it state-of-the-art when it was built. Speaking of which, Honda only built one, and today it's part of the Honda Collection Hall at Motegi, but the priceless racer made the trip down to Japan's capital so we could check it out at the Tokyo Motor Show. Awfully nice of Honda, we'd say. Check it out in our gallery of live shots from the show floor above.
