1997 Honda Prelude Type Sh Coupe Euro-r H22a Cams S300 Manual Nr No Reserve on 2040-cars
Centereach, New York, United States
97 Type SH with a full Euro-R H22A7 with the T2W4 LSD tranny. The head is built with supertech valvesprings and retainers, Skunk2 Pro1 cams, and Skunk2 cam gears. Its got a 70mm Omni throttle, with the intake manifold port matched. Its got the Hytech repplica tri-y header with a 2.25" exhaust, dual resonators and a magnflow 14807 muffler. The intake was custom welded. It's tuned on Hondata S300. It made 224.4 WHP. All new pads all around, front calipers are new with Hawk pads and new rotors. The interior is in good shape. Windshield is cracked. I have the tri-gauge pod on top of the heater vents with a boost gauge (from when it was supercharged, never removed it), oil pressure gauge and AEM UEGO AFR gauge. I've also got the skunk2 shift knob and JTC short shifter. It also has the Koyo radiator installed about 6 months ago. The only thing I will not be including in the sale is my Kenwood radio. You'll have to have your own. It has Focal speakers and an Arc audio amp. All the front balljoints were done last summer. Axles were done four months ago but they were the inexpensive kind and are starting to click a little. It has tein coilovers. The aftermarket wheels were dipped gold but I took that off. Wheels are back to black. The rear driver side wheel is bent. The body is in decent condition for the year. Its black so it does show scratches. There is rust at the bottom of the truck lid and around the keyhole. There is also some rust around the passenger rear quarter. It's not too noticeable unless you're looking for it. There is big scratch on the passenger side fender and door from when someone keyed my car. In the cold, it can be difficult to start unless the block heater is plugged in. I do have the OEM Honda block heater installed. The car runs perfect and it pulls hard through the whole RPM range! Currently, the car has 114k miles on it and going up everyday. I know I might be missing out a few details but message me for more info. |

Honda slaps Legend name on JDM Acura RLX
Mon, 10 Nov 2014It's been eighteen years since we last saw the Legend nameplate in Acura showrooms here in the US, but in Japan it's still very much alive as Honda's flagship sedan. And now the Japanese automaker has revealed the latest generation.
Set to go on sale across Japan on January 22 - 30 years since the nameplate was introduced - the new Honda Legend is essentially the same model we already know in the States as the new Acura RLX. Only by "essentially," we mean exactly. It is the RLX, only with Honda badges instead of Acura ones. The manufacturer hasn't even changed the grille or the wheels.
Although the RLX is being offered Stateside in two forms, the new JDM Honda Legend will only come in one form, equivalent to our Sport Hybrid, with Super Handling All-Wheel Drive and a hybrid powertrain pairing a 3.5-liter V6 to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission with integrated electric motor. For the privilege of owning the most luxurious car Honda makes, Japanese customers will have to pony up ¥6,800,000 - which about adds up to $59,950 we'd pay for an RLX Sport Hybrid.
Honda surprises with Gear concept in Montreal
Thu, 17 Jan 2013It's not often that a major automobile manufacturer debuts a brand-new concept at the Montreal International Auto Show - mostly because it takes place concurrently with the massive show in Detroit - but here we are with the so-called Honda Gear Concept Study Model, which was just uncovered by our friendly neighbors to the north.
According to the automaker, the Gear "demonstrates Honda's innovative approach to providing the automotive answer for young, urban, Gen-Y lifestyles. Inspired by fixed-gear bicycles... Gear is simple and utilitarian, but also customizable, connected and full of personality." It is apparently "practical but fun, customizable, connected and affordable. Everything that young, discerning urban buyers would want in a car," according to Dave Marek, Design Director at Honda R&D Americas.
We don't know anything else - what might lie underhood, how it is "connected" or at what price point it might potentially be sold at. Check out our high-res image gallery above and the press release below and you'll know just about as much as we do.
Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.
