1995 Honda Prelude Vtec Coupe 2-door 2.2l on 2040-cars
Bethesda, Maryland, United States
Up for sale is my 1995 Prelude VTEC coupe. Very rare car and I don't see many for sale at all. Mine is all original, no aftermarket modifications at all. It's got the rare H22A1 DOHC VTEC motor churning out 190hp and 153lbs tq which back in '95 was unheard of from a non-turbocharged, naturally aspirated motor but even by todays standards is still pretty potent. The interior is very clean all black interior with black leather sporty seats, the floor mats still in good condition and rear seats probably never used. It's got power windows, power door locks, power steering, power sunroof, power mirrors, cruise control and anti-lock brakes. The ac compressor went bad so it unfortunately will need to be replaced. The exterior could use a paint job, the body is straight so you could probably just take it to maaco and get it done for cheap. The abs and srs lights are on. So it has a few issues, but make no mistake, this car is very rare and has more power than an em1, gsr and more torque than a type r integra, and enough power to rival many new cars, it is very fun to drive. The body style is timeless and easily stands out and turns heads. The interior and dash is very unique and makes modern day cars look weak by comparison and the dash lights are like something out of a sci-fi movie. There is plenty of room for improvement in order to squeeze out more ponies like an exhaust system, intake or turbo if that's your thing because this car has never been messed with. You'll be hard pressed to find one with decent mileage, price or it's not the VTEC version.

eBay Find of the Day: 1985 Honda City Turbo II is JDM forbidden fruit you can own
Fri, 14 Feb 2014It's always fun to cruise different global eBay Motors sites and check out the cars that we never got here. Thankfully, America's 25-year import limit on cars means that some of the rarities from the 80s are finally legal on these shores. This 1985 Honda City Turbo II is a great example of a fun, little car that we never got new but can be made legal here now.
The City was basically the Japanese company's '80s equivalent of today's Fit, albeit significantly smaller. The little urban runabout was so popular in its basic form that Honda decided to take things up a notch and turbocharge it. That car sold enough to warrant an even higher performance version called the Turbo II, which added an intercooler and the flared fenders you see here. The latter helped it earn the nickname "bulldog" for its boxy, aggressive appearance.
Honda claimed at the time that its little 1.2-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder produced 109 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque with a five-speed manual. In a car that weight just 1,620 pounds, you can imagine it was a very entertaining little package.
Question of the Day: Ever consider driving a minivan?
Thu, May 12 2016Since I'm supposed to know something about cars, it happens all the time: friends and relatives ask me advice about what kind of vehicle they should get. Very often, the only type of vehicle that can check every item on their wish list (e.g., hauls lots of people and stuff, gets good fuel economy, has great crash-test ratings, can take four Great Danes camping, and so on) is a modern minivan... and, of course, nobody wants to hear this. I'm not a minivan person, they will wail, and so they end up with a cramped, fuel-swilling SUV or a not-so-space-efficient minivan-in-disguise CUV. So, is it worth becoming one of those minivan people in order to get the incredible usefulness of these masterpieces of vehicle engineering, or do you hold your head high and drive something that doesn't quite meet your needs? Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.
Take a look below to see just what it is about the latest batch of infotainment systems that grinds CR's gears. After that, scroll down into Comments and let us know if you agree with the mag's views.
