This rare and unique Prelude is adult owned and has been tastefully upgraded and maintained with no expense spared. It was repainted approximately 4 years ago in original Milano Red and the paint shines like new. Windows are tinted 35% all around. The heat, AC, power windows, locks, and sliding sunroof all work as they should. The car drives, handles, and sounds amazing - I'm always getting complements and inquiries from perfect strangers. The car has been dyno tuned by Jeff Evans - One of the best Honda Tuners out there. It is set up so the check engine light doubles as a shift light. The car runs perfectly, is smooth, and has plenty of power throughout the rev range. V-tech hits hard around 4500 rpm and sounds awesome. The sound system is all High end Alpine, cost close to $2000, and sounds Incredible! The car started it's life as a Canadian model and is equipped with heated mirrors and seats (VERY RARE), however only the drivers mirror heats up, and the switches for the seats work, but they don't actually heat up (might be relays or heating elemnts). The cruise control lights up, but does not stay on (I never use it anyway, so I didn't really look into why). The only real rust on the car is on the sunroof. I planned on either replacing it or swapping in a glass roof from a 5th gen Prelude, but I never got around to it. It does work perfectly though with no leaks. The car passed NJ inspection and has a valid sticker through 8/2015. I have a clean and clear title in hand ready to go. I really hate to sell it, but I have 2 cars already and just picked up another, so something has to go!

McLaren and Honda rekindle a winning combination

Fri, Nov 28 2014

With the 2014 Formula One World Championship now drawn to a close, all eyes are fixed on next season. And for both McLaren and Honda, that means the dawn of a new era – or hopefully, the return to one bygone. After twenty years running Mercedes engines, McLaren is switching back to Honda next season, rekindling the most successful partnership the once-dominant team has ever had. Immediately after swapping to Honda power in 1988 – and with Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost behind the wheel – McLaren entered its winningest era, racking up four consecutive world championships. In the two decades it's spent under Mercedes power since, it won three drivers' titles and one constructors', leaving the relatively brief Honda era as its most successful. It was also the most successful for Honda, which had enjoyed success with Williams and some with Lotus, but far more with McLaren – the likes of which it was never able to recreate. The Japanese automaker that was the first to break into the Euro-centric series left grand prix racing when it left McLaren, and despite returning to fund its own team for the better part of a decade, claimed but one checkered flag before calling it quits again. Whether the new collaboration will return both outfits to the winner's circle remains to be seen, but we're looking forward to finding out. In the meantime, after releasing a couple of images from the video shoot last week, McLaren has put out this minute-and-a-half video clip showing the MP4-29H running a few laps around Silverstone, marking the official start of what could be the second reign of the McLaren-Honda dynasty. Latest Honda promo film is a Never Ending Race against emissions

Sun, Feb 16 2014

A new Honda promotional video shows clips of a hazy, smog-choked Los Angeles in the 1960s and 1970s, and then gives the company credit for its lead role in cutting vehicle-emissions by a factor of one thousand since 1970. Self-serving? Sure. Then again, this LA-native reporter born in 1970 can't help but be somewhat appreciative. The nearly five-minute video takes a tour through Honda history, showing the Japanese automaker using its experience designing race cars to help develop smaller engines such as its four-cylinder CVCC. An early proponent of California's Clean Air Act, Honda recounts its low-emissions history with the first production low-emission vehicle (the 1996 Civic) and the first production ultra-low-emission vehicle (the 1998 Accord), and says it's approaching "near zero emissions" for its new cars. For anyone keeping track, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said late last year that Honda's 2013 model-year vehicles averaged an even 27 miles per gallon, and that's with a fairly limited number of hybrids and plug-ins sold. That number was up from its 26.6 mpg in 2012 and second only to Mazda's 27.5 mpg among the major automakers. The overall 2013 average was 24.0 mpg. Honda is spending $124 million on a new wind tunnel facility in Ohio

Fri, Apr 21 2017

Ford isn't the only company building a multi-million dollar wind tunnel this year. Honda is also getting in on the action. Its new facility will cost less than Ford's at $124 million, and construction begins this summer. It will be built at the Transportation Research Center in Ohio, which is where Honda's NSX proving grounds are located. Honda will install a five-belt rolling road in the tunnel for testing of more pedestrian vehicles, and a wide, high-speed, single belt version for testing of sports cars and race cars. However, it seems the Honda facility will only be capable of testing wind speeds of up to 192 mph, whereas Ford claims a top speed of 200 mph. Cameras and microphones will also be set up inside the testing area at the Honda tunnel to help find wind noise trouble spots. Honda won't necessarily be the only company using the new wind tunnel either. The facility will be available for other groups and companies to use. There are even secure bays those groups can use for their work. Related Video:
