1987 White Honda Prelude 2.0 Si Manual In Great Condition on 2040-cars
Berkeley, California, United States
We are moving. I am selling my old reliable :( $3000 or best offer.
If you know this car you know its a classic and the lightest cars Honda ever made. It has never stranded me in the past 28 years. It is not only your everyday car but it is an enthusiast car. I used it to haul kayaks to and from the water for the past 15 years and make trips to Oregon and Washington and Southern California. Purchased new in October of 1986. Now less than 220,000 miles on it. These engines were made to last 400,000 miles. Still gets 30 miles per gallon and has passed smog every time. Driving it is like driving a race car minus a huge gas bill. Lots of fun. Love the exhaust note! -- Fixed up the front suspension ten years ago to be able to do four wheel balance. -- Upgraded to 14" Honda alloy wheels to get Z rated tires. -- Est. 20,000 miles life left on Michelin tires. -- Front rotors are dotted with red brake pads. Stops on a dime. Still 8mm left on the pads. -- New battery earlier this year. -- New rack and pinion, last year. -- upgraded speakers, about fifteen years ago. Radio cassette is missing. -- Timing belt and all other belts replaced last year. -- Radiator flushed every other year. Unlike most Hondas it runs very cool. -- Clutch has an estimated 40,000 miles life left. I have recent major mechanical check printouts by a local Honda Dealer. $3000 or best offer, |

Honda's new City hints in India at US-bound Fit sedan [w/videos]
Tue, 26 Nov 2013While car buyers on these shores may think of the Civic or Accord as the prototypical Honda sedan, in the Asia and Oceania regions, it all comes down to the City. Based on the Honda Fit, the City is a compact sedan that's currently sold in 55 countries around the world, and now Honda has revealed the newest version.
Standing essentially as a Fit sedan (much as the Vezel debuted as a Fit crossover), the new fourth-generation Honda City is as wide as the hatchback on which it's based, but stretches longer on a lengthened wheelbase and sits lower. Power comes from a 1.5-liter inline four in either gasoline or diesel form, mated to an unspecified transmission that we'd have to assume is either a manual or a CVT.
Styling looks familiarly Honda, and while it may be hard to tell from the few stock, detail and live reveal images the Japanese automaker has provided us with thus far, it appears slicker form than other compact hatchback-based sedans like the Ford Fiesta or Mazda2. Fortunately IndianAutosBlog has uploaded a couple of videos from the reveal, which we've included below along with the press release.
Honda concept dials M for minivan [w/video]
Sat, 20 Apr 2013Yes, it looks a bit, uh, toothy, but what you see here is a concept that previews a brand new small MPV specifically designed for the Chinese market. Called the Concept M, the swoopy Honda was designed in Japan and the automaker is currently aiming to launch a production version in China sometime in 2014.
Honda hasn't released many details about its small van concept, simply saying that it "offers the attributes of a passenger car while adding new value through the realization of a comfortable and spacious cabin space made possible by Honda's packaging technologies, and the fun of driving." Doesn't sound too bad to us.
Have a glance at the Concept M in the gallery above (full disclosure: we don't have live shots of this one), and take a look below for the official press blast direct from the MPV's Shanghai debut, as well as a promotional video showing the new concept from all angles. Oh, and be sure to turn your volume down before pushing the play button.
Honda Urban SUV Concept leaks out ahead of Detroit debut
Sun, 13 Jan 2013Next up on the 2013 Detroit Auto Show embargo-break-a-palooza: the Honda Urban SUV Concept. Thanks to Indian Autos Blog, we now have the first press shots of the small crossover concept - a vehicle that will someday make it to production, riding on the Honda Fit platform.
It may have some big features - namely, the large headlamps, big wheels, and bold body lines - but the Urban SUV Concept will compete with smaller vehicles like the Nissan Juke or Fiat 500L. Indian Autos Blog reports that both 1.6- an 1.8-liter four-cylinder engines are being speculated for use in the production model, as well as a diesel powerplant for foreign markets.
That's all we know for now, but stay tuned to see the full smattering of official images and details as part of this week's Detroit coverage.
