You are bidding on a great running and fully loaded 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring. It drives and looks as though it has far fewer miles.

All recent services have been carried out by the Honda dealer (Burns Honda in Marlton), with receipts available. The most recent service was last month, when new front brakes were fitted. All other items were 'good' on their multipoint check (see image). The timing belt was also replaced last year as scheduled, which is a big service.

The van drives beautifully and the only reason we are selling is due to relocation back to the UK.

In addition to the photos included above, more can be seen at http://www.flickr.com/photos/97527797@N07/sets/72157634156949250/

Exterior:
I have included as many photos as possible, including scratches, to give a good idea of the condition. Specifically, there is a 4" scratch to the rear passenger side of the vehicle that I have shown and some minor peeling under one corner of the front bumper. There is also a scratch in the center of the rear bumper (also shown), where the garage door caught it as it opened. The items mentioned don't affect the overall look of the vehicle and aside from that the outside is in good condition consistent with its age/miles, as can be seen in the photos.

There are front and rear reversing sensors and also a reversing camera, which displays in the GPS screen.

We had a tow bar fitted by U-Haul for a bike rack (2-inch receiver). If the car is bought using the 'Buy it Now' I will include the bike rack itself (Allen Deluxe 5-Bike Hitch Mount Rack), otherwise it is available for $50.

Tires:
This vehicle has four run flat tires that allow you to drive up to 125 miles at 55 mph with a flat tire. They are designed to never separate from the rim, even when getting a sudden flat at high speeds under normal driving conditions, so are great for safety and peace of mind. All 4 tires are in good condition, with 6/32 tread depth (see image of Honda service checklist).

Interior:
All carpets, plastics, and front and rear leather seats are good condition, with no unusual wear. As well as a 6 CD multichanger, there is a factory fitted DVD player, together with wireless headphones (2) and sockets to plug in 2 sets of wired headphones in the rear. The factory fitted GPS works well and also has voice control (which I haven't used much, as it doesn't pick up the English accent!).

Engine:
The V6 3.5L engine runs beautifully and we have not had any issues with it. The Honda dealer has carried out all scheduled oil changes and larger recommended items e.g. timing belt.

NOTE - This vehicle is also for sale locally therefore I reserve the right to terminate this ebay auction without notice. This vehicle is only available for pick up.

This is a great vehicle and it will serve another delighted owner for many years. Happy bidding!

Question of the Day: What's the most irritating car name?

Wed, Mar 9 2016

You hear a lot about how the Chevrolet Nova was a sales flop in Mexico because "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish; in fact, the Nova sold pretty well south of the border, and in any case most Spanish-speakers know that "Nova" means "new" in Latin and Portuguese. However, General Motors doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for bad car names, because the Oldsmobile Achieva— no doubt inspired by the excruciating "coffee achievers" ads of the 1980s— scrapes the biggest fingernails down the screechiest chalkboard in the US-market car-name world. That is, unless you think Daihatsu's incomprehensible choice of Charade was worse. Meanwhile, Japanese car buyers could get machines with cool names like Mazda Bongo Friendee or Honda Life Dunk. It's just not fair! So, what car name drives you the craziest? Related Video: Auto News Design/Style Chevrolet Honda Mazda Daihatsu Automotive History questions car names

Honda ditching Takata for next Accord's airbags

Sat, Jan 24 2015

Today brings unsurprising news that Honda will move away from Takata and source airbags for the next-generation Accord, among other models, from one of the embattled company's competitors. Both companies have been in headlines of late after the former recalled millions of vehicles that were fitted with the latter's airbag inflators, which had the unpleasant tendency to spew shrapnel at consumers. The move, as Reuters explains it, is particularly devastating for Takata. Honda is the company's largest customer, and the Accord represents its biggest product, accounting for over a quarter of the company's sales last year. It gets worse, though, as a confidential source with knowledge of the situation is reporting to Reuters that both the 2016 CR-V and Odyssey will source their airbags from Toyoda Gosei. If true, that'd mean that Takata will be losing out on more than half the cars Honda sells in the US market. At this point, Takata, Honda and Toyoda Gosei have all passed on opportunities to comment to Reuters.

No S660 for US, but Honda wants sporty cars

Mon, Aug 31 2015

Honda, best known lately for being a mainstream player rather than the brand that brought us the CRX Si, NSX, Integra Type-R, and S2000, apparently wants to builds sporty cars for the US again. With that in mind (or not), Honda has ruled out bringing the tiny, sporty S660 roadster across the Pacific. "I wouldn't put my chips on [the S660]," American Honda Executive Vice President John Mendel told Automotive News. At nearly 11.1 feet long, the S660 slots in between the 12.8-foot Mazda MX-5 Miata and the 8.8-foot Smart ForTwo. Yet Mendel says the tiny two-seater wouldn't work here. "When the practicalities of the market come in, and the car only so big, that might not be the best car for the US market," Mendel said. "It might be better for India or China or somewhere else." Honda is considering its options here in the US, though. As AN reports, after his takeover earlier this year, new CEO Takahiro Hachigo promised more sporting models, like the new, US-bound, 300-horsepower Civic Type R. And while it's no secret that Honda has filed patent drawings for a mid-engine model, Mendel offered little to indicate that it'd become a reality. Calling the project from Honda's Silicon Valley research and design facility a "design study," Mendel wouldn't answer AN when it asked whether this new model was successor to the S2000 or a more attainable, lower-powered NSX. He did, however, say his company was getting pressure from dealers over the lack of verve in the company's lineup. "They want anything in the sports car world," Mendel told AN. "They're going, 'Gimme a sports car.' They want a retractable hardtop; they want a high-horsepower $20,000 sports car. Because that's the nature of what they do." There you are, Honda. Your dealers want it, which means your consumers are probably are asking for it, and your CEO wants it, too. Make something happen.
