2005 HONDA INSIGHT HYBRID
VERY, VERY CLEAN CAR ONLY 92K MILES FROM NEW!!!
I PURCHESED THIS CAR FROM THE SECOND OWNER LAST FALL AND HAVE DRIVEN IT A COUPLE THOUSAND MILE WITHOUT A PROBLEM, I HAVE NOW BOUGHT A THIRD INSIGHT AND NEED TO SELL THIS ONE. THESE ARE SUCH GREAT LITTLE CARS AND DELIVER FANTASTIC MILEAGE. THE LIFETIME AVERAGE FOR THIS ONE IS 57.8 MPG!!!!! IT WILL GET 60 IN WARM WEATHER. I HAVE CHANGED THE OIL AND FLUSHED AND CHANGED THE CVT FLUID WITH HONDA CVT FLUID. THERE ARE NO LEAKS OF ANY KIND ON THE CAR. EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD. THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT 3/4 TREAD, BRAKES ARE VERY GOOD. THIS CAR NEEDS NOTHING. I HAVE WIRED IT FOR A SIMPLE GRID CHARGER AND HAVE CHARGED THE IMA BATTERY A COUPLE TIMES, THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHTS ON ANYWHERE.
THERE IS A HIGH END JVC CD STEREO AND POLK AUDIO SPEAKERS IN THE CAR, IT IS ALSO WIRED FOR A AMP UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT IF NEEDED. THIS CAR IS REALLY CLEAN INSIDE, ANYONE WOULD BE PROUD OF IT, NO RIPS AND NEWER HONDA FLOOR MATS. A/C AND HEAT WRK AS THEY SHOULD, AS DOES ALL POWER OPTIONS AND LIGHTS. THE INSIHT DOES NOT NEED ANYTHING TO BE DRIVEN. THE ONLY REASON I AM SELLING IT IS BECAUSE I HAVE BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE!!!!!! THIS CAR DOES CARRY A REBUILD TITLE FROM AN ACCEDENT IN TEXAS IN 2008 WITH 43K MILES, THERE WAS ONLY MINOR DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END, I HAVE ENCLOSED A PICTURE OF THE CAR WHEN IT WAS DAMAGED. IT TOOK BUMPER COVER, HEADLIGHT,HOOD AND DRIVERS FENDER, THEY ALSO REPLACED BOTH AIR BAGS. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF ANY KIND OF FRAME DAMAGE OF ANY KIND. IT WAS FIXED RIGHT.
I LIVE IN SOUTHERN INDIANA, ABOUT 50 MILES NW OF LOUISVILLE KY. ZIP 47469. E-MAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS, I AM OPEN TO SERIOUS OFFERS OVER THE OPENING AMOUNT. I AM LISTING IT WITH NO RESERVE AND ECPEXT IT TO SELL FOR MORE THAN THE STARTING PRICE. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO STOP THIS AUCTION ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON.

Honda Fit loses Recommended rating from Consumer Reports
Thu, 23 Jan 2014Thanks to its poor performance in the most recent round of Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash testing, where it received the lowest overall score in the small-overlap test, Consumer Reports has bumped the Honda Fit from its "Recommended" list. When a car gets bumped from the magazine's coveted ranks, it's usually cause for concern. This is not one of those times.
As there is a new Fit barreling towards dealerships for an on-sale date this spring, we wouldn't pay too much credence to the current car's demotion. It's expected that the next-generation Fit should pass the test with flying colors, as CR is quick to point out that newer Hondas have traditionally done very well in the tricky small-overlap crash testing.
Of the subcompact cars tested by the IIHS, only the Kia Rio, which netted a "Marginal" score overall, is a Consumer Reports "Recommended" vehicle.
Honda unveils new 3.5-liter racing engine
Sat, 22 Feb 2014Honda is following Ford's lead and debuting the second twin-turbocharged V6 to be used by Daytona Prototypes in the United Sports Car Championship. The wait won't be long to see it on track because the new engine will debut with the Starworks Motorsport team in a Riley Gen3 prototype chassis at the 12 Hours of Sebring from March 12-15.
The new HR35TT engine is based on Honda's J35 production V6 found in a variety of its models, including the current Accord. The racing version benefits from dry sump lubrication, but is still similar to the production version with an aluminum block, direct injection and single overhead camshafts. It is fueled by 100-octane E10 fuel, but like many racing engines, exact power figures have not been released.
Starworks has had a close relationship with Honda since it won the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2012 with a Honda Performance Development ARX-03b chassis and Honda engine. We can't wait to see this new mill hit the track, and see how it fairs against Chip Ganassi Racing's EcoBoost-powered Riley. Scroll down to read the press release for the full details.
Honda HR-V could spawn Acura variant
Thu, Feb 5 2015We've been saying it for months now, but the compact CUV is the next big thing. Everyone, and we mean everyone, is at least considering getting in on the action, if they aren't already actively designing or selling, and that's true whether they're a premium or mainstream automaker. That, of course, includes Acura, whose parent company, Honda, has a compact CUV of its own coming to market very, very soon. With the arrival of the Fit-based HR-V, that begs the question of whether the near-premium marque will join this burgeoning segment. The idea of building a car below the company's entry level CUV, the RDX, is an appealing one to Honda Executive Vice President John Mendel, who called it "potentially the only place you could go," and would occupy the "white space" the company is looking to fill. While we might chuckle about the idea of a luxurious, Fit-based CUV, it's fair to say it could do well for Acura. It could certainly provide a foil to the very hot selling Buick Encore, and may even capture some sales from the luxuriously outfitted Jeep Renegade Limited/Fiat 500X Lounge. It remains to be seen, though, if Acura could build an HR-V capable of tangling with the new entries from Lexus, Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
