You are bidding on a 2000 Honda Insight.  I purchased this in 2007 when when gas prices shot through the roof and everyone paid 2-times more than they were worth due to their great gas mileage.  This car has a Michigan rebuilt title and had the rear of the car repaired by a local Honda dealership (Thelen Honda of Bay City, MI).  I had the following rear items replaced:  rear bupmer, trunk lid (small glas section broke), right tail light and and rear bulk head.  It has the following options:  New front windshield in 2012 (several stone pecks), P/W, P/L, A/C, 5-speed transmission, cruise control, auto dimming mirror w/ compass, XM/Sirius satelite radio antenna.  This vehicle had approximately 73,000 mile on it at the time of the purchase and repair and was my every day drive until June of 2012.  I also had the IMA battery replaced at 249,000 miles (owner can have the old battery for free if you want it rebuilt for a spare...which I highly encounge it).  As you can see in the photos, the left rear quarter panel has damage but never fixed it ....was like that when it was origanally purchased.  A local body shop estimated around $550.00 to fixed but never got around to it.  Tires have approximately 5500 miles on them and I have an extra wheel with tire installed as spare if you want it (I like full size spares).  NO IMA LIGHT AT ALL.  I drove this 265 miles a day 5-days a week and the car has averaged a little over 54 MPG LIFETIME.  My best trip was last March of 2012 and had a trip of 89 MPG on a flat 85 mile drive non-stop.  I have used MOBIL-1 0-20 synthetic oil for EVERY oil change and will make sure it is changed and ready for you at time of pick up unless you prefer to do it yourself.  There are a few things I never got around to fix such as a broken mirror on left door, small crack in front bumper cover from hitting a deer in 2010, scratched and small dent in hood form the deer launch over the car.  Lots of miles left in her.  I am only selling because I purchased the newer model for my kids to ride in on occasion and two have moved out for college and don't need the extra cars.  Also, I have ran this car at idle for 2-3 times a month (for 20-30 minutes) to keep the IMA battery maintained.  HAPPY BIDDING !!!!

I just purchased a NEW 12-volt battery, the current one was installed in 2007 so I decided to replace it.........Advance Auto 625 CCA and installed it.

On Apr-20-13 at 16:32:30 PDT, seller added the following information:

Found (4) quarts of Honda manual transmission fluid, right fender (silver), the original box from cruise kit, center cap I will throw in.  If I come accross any other 2000-06 stuff, it will be place in the trunk area as I will not nedd it.  I have had several questions on the cruise....It did not come standard, I purchased it locally (off eBay) and installed it myself, took about hours (two hours better than the local installer who said they are a pain in the @ss....thanks to the guy who posted a intall step-by-step w/ photo on the net (which are included).  The cruise is activated on/off by a RF switch (just like a remote start unit of FOB to unlock your car) located on the steering wheel.  Also, there are (3) keys and (1) remote.

First production HondaJet nearly completed

Tue, 20 May 2014

We may mention Honda around here mostly for its cars, but the Japanese industrial giant makes a whole lot more than that. The company builds motorcycles, ATVs, marine engines, power equipment and - soon enough - jet airplanes.
Honda has been working on its first private jet since before 2006, and after a good eight years or so of prototype testing, began building its first production version a bit over a year ago. And now it's almost ready for delivery.
The first production HondaJet is nearing completion and has had its GE Honda HF120 jet engines installed, after which it will conduct initial ground tests before taking its first flight this summer. The jet is painted in a new shade of pearl green with a gold stripe, added to the color catalog alongside the silver, red, yellow and blue options.

Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:

Honda reports $1.9 billion profit in first quarter despite sales lag at home

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have been living in a world of sunshine and buttercups after their April-through-June financials hit the newswire, and Toyota is doing pretty good as well. Honda? Not so much.
While Japan's third-largest manufacturer saw $1.9 billion in profits, the 5.1-percent jump was lower than expected thanks to a drop in its home-market sales. US sales also took a sting, as Honda hasn't been able to match the SUV and truck demand that are currently permeating the American market, despite an uptick in Accord sales.
Honda's initial forecasts targeted a take of 209.3 billion yen ($2.1 billion at today's rates), and while a $200 million shortfall is nothing to sniff at, we'd hardly take this as Honda being in trouble. And even with the dip, Honda hasn't adjusted its forecast for the fiscal year, which remains at 780 billion yen ($7.9 billion).
