Avoid dealer hassle, nonsensical add-ons and ridiculous fees.

Depending on the state in which you are resident, you may also benefit from much lower sales tax by purchasing a vehicle from a private seller. When I purchased this vehicle last year (as a resident of Illinois) from a private seller, I paid only $90 in sales tax. Please, check your Secretary of State's office for further details.

I am a private owner who wants to provide you a simple, honest and forthright purchasing experience. I promise - that unlike most other internet vehicle sellers (particularly dealers) - I am very thorough and straightforward. Nevertheless, if you have any questions or concerns, I will do my very best to oblige promptly and personally.

This is a great car. It will be missed for its stellar economy, massive utility, solid reliability and attractiveness. However, I have purchased a Toyota/Scion xA and no longer need the Fit.

This is the "Sport" model with aerodynamic body parts, aluminum wheels, fog lights, high end (i.e., loud and clear) stereo system and auxiliary audio port.

Clutch is in optimal operational condition, and all brakes have a large amount of life in friction materials.

Shocks/struts and springs are in excellent condition.

Car accelerates and brakes straight and true.

Accessory drive belt in excellent condition.

Maintenance free timing chain, no belt, so no worries.

No mechanical fluid leaks or motor oil burn.

No leaks when run through automatic car wash or blasted with hose.

The car does not include a paper owner's manual. The previous owner could not locate it when I purchased the car. I do, however, have the PDF version for those who are interested.

2 original and fully operational keys/key fobs included.

I have not allowed any smoking or pets in the car; but I cannot vouch for previous owners. The interior is, notwithstanding, in excellent condition considering the mileage/age. Photos speak for themselves.

The cargo capacity is enormous. Honda engineers nailed this aspect in spades with seating that converts to every angle and position imaginable, affording outstanding cargo/troop hauling capability. The rear seat backs recline; and even the front seat backs recline all the way down to the rear seat bottoms, resulting in an extended lounge that would rival that in a Maybach. Feel free to google it. It's really quite astonishing. I could fit an adult-sized bicycle behind the front seats just by lifting up the seat bottoms of the rear seats.

Maintenance/service records included only for the duration of my own ownership. Please, see bullet points below. I haven't any tangible evidence of prior owner maintenance/service other than the car's outstanding mechanical condition. It is quite clear that this car was well maintained and is prepared for its run to a half-million miles or more.

All required maintenance/service just recently performed. All bases have been covered, all tees crossed and all eyes dotted. Absolutely no maintenance/service action will be required by the purchaser. Details with odometer readings and dates are available upon request and will be included with sale. Here is a summary with some additional information thrown in for good measure:

-- 37 MPG COMBINED HWY/CITY (Personally observed fuel economy. Mind you, I drive conservatively and baby the throttle as if there was an egg beneath the accelerator pedal)
-- 41 MPG (high) / 34 MPG (low) (Again, personally observed. Individual results will vary depending primarily on driving habit and style)
-- 4 new tires (Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum with approximately 2,000 miles on them)
-- front end alignment after new tires
-- fresh motor oil and filter (Pennzoil dino with Mobil 1 filter)
-- fresh gear oil (Honda Genuine)
-- new air filter (Honda Genuine)
-- fresh coolant (Honda Genuine - radiator, engine block and reservoir)
-- new spark plugs (OEM NGK iridium)
-- valve lash recently checked and adjusted to spec.
-- Japanese center console with telescoping armrest, storage box and pull-out rear cupholders
-- Acura RSX aluminum shift knob
-- professional window tint (I'm guessing around 35% light transmission [confirmed legal in Illinois]. Completed before I purchased. See photos)
-- exterior freshly detailed with Mothers clay and Zymol cleaner wax by yours truly
-- interior also freshly detailed
-- new wiper blades
-- all lights and lighting indicators, driving and accessory, perfectly operational
-- only approximately 50 miles on fresh and full tank of gas

If you have not already, I want to encourage anyone who has read this far to further research this car, as I have not described every specification (e.g., power windows, locks, CD player, AC, cruise, tilt, etc.), only that which I feel is critical to the sale of this vehicle or that which I would want to know if I were browsing the market for a used automobile. Additional information is plentiful with the help of a google search.

Honda Civic coupe concept gets Type R render

Wed, Apr 15 2015

In presenting the Civic coupe concept at the New York Auto Show earlier this month, Honda confirmed that the Type R will eventually be coming to North America. Honda just didn't say when, and in what form. But given the announcement's coincidence with the coupe concept's unveiling, it stands to reason the Type R could look less like the current hatchback and more like the two-door that was unveiled. And if it is, it'd probably look something like this. At least, we hope. Created by Wild-Speed.com and posted on the enthusiast forums at CivicX.com, these renderings envision what a Type R version of the Civic concept would look like – with two doors and all the go-fast bits. It may not be bright green anymore, but it sure looks mean – from the aggressive aero kit to the performance rolling stock. It's even got quad exhaust tips like the Euro-market hot hatch, but mounted in the center like the concept's. So what do you think, is this the version Honda should be sending to its American dealers? Sound off in the Comments. Related Video:

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing to switch to Honda engines starting in 2019

Tue, Jun 19 2018

After a 12-season partnership with Renault, the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team is switching engine suppliers. Starting next season, the team will use Honda powertrains, following the move this year of Red Bull's junior team, Toro Rosso. This effectively makes Red Bull Racing the Honda works team, something it's never truly benefited from since joining the sport in 2005 after purchasing the former Jaguar Racing team. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Honda has had a rough time since returning to F1 with McLaren back in 2015. Both sides hoped that the move would rekindle one of the most successful pairings in F1 history. Unfortunately, Honda powertrains were both underpowered and unreliable. The partnership proved to be so toxic that McLaren ended the deal early, moving to Renault power starting this season. On the other hand, Toro Rosso is off to a fine start this year with Honda, surely helping cement Red Bull's decision to drop Renault. Since moving to Renault power in 2007, Red Bull Racing has won 57 races, four drivers' championships and four constructors championships, making it one of the most successful teams in F1 history. The move should be a huge boon for Honda. Red Bull Racing is currently one of the top teams, fighting for both podiums and wins, so the move shows how much faith Red Bull has in the Japanese automaker. When McLaren picked up Honda power, it was a mid-pack team that had just two podiums in the previous two seasons. The Honda partnership is likely to play into Daniel Ricciardo's next move. His current contract with Red Bull racing ends at the end of 2018. He's one of the best and most talented drivers racing today and unlikely to stay with a team that might prevent him from winning races and fighting for championships.
