I have a 1994 Honda Del Sol that I love but must let go due to having children. There was a fender bender reported to insurance and the complete front clip was professionally replaced with an imported JDM color-matched unit. Glass JDM headlights with built in city lights and original sidemarkers on fenders. The motor is a B20Z2 (JDM B20B) and has 32k miles on it and is also under warranty for another 10 months by Foreign Engines Inc., Lynnwood WA. B18C Hydro transmission. Complete suspension including Tokiko Blue adjustable front and real coil overs, red rear LCA's, front and rear red control arms and adjustable camber kits. 3" exhaust and DC sports longtube headers with heat resistant paint. Golden Eagle Fuel Rail, Password JDM intake. GSR throttle body. Complete wire tuck and engine bay tuck has been done. Rear EDM garnish with fog light installed. Interior sound is perfect, no blown speakers. Black interior with original S model seats. Brand new 16x8 +20 offset red rims with tires. Viper Car alarm equipped, needs installation. Aftermarket Voltage and Oil gauges and pillar. 15% mirror-like tint all the way around. No leaks whatsoever. Great gas mileage, Lots of power. P75 ECU. GSR front upper and ITR front lower suspension bars. Quick, clean, and nimble.
This car goes really fast and is a head turner. I get people asking to drive it all the time. I need a 4 door vehicle, so im selling my baby. This is by far my favorite car out of all the ones I've owned. Reserve is set fairly low, just need enough funds to get a family car. Buyer arranges shipping/pickup.

Email me or call 360-969-2457 for more information. I have this vehicle listed locally for $4,000. If it sells, I reserve the right to cancel this auction.

Design Handbook explains the difference between design and styling

Fri, 11 Oct 2013

It's easy to confuse the terms 'design' and 'style,' but Jim Hall attempts to explain the difference between the two in his latest Design Handbook video column for Autoline. Before relating the terms to cars, Hall first uses other, non-automotive-related examples to prove his point, such as a well-designed glass versus a well-styled glass. Both do their job well as a result of good designs, he claims, but one stands out more because it also was styled.
When he relates his lesson to cars, he uses the 2013 Honda Accord and the new Chevrolet Impala as examples, but you'll have to watch the video below to find out which car he thinks is merely designed and which one has been styled.
We've also included a gallery of the Honda and a gallery of the Chevrolet so you can decide for yourself which one of these vehicles has been designed, and which one has been styled.

Glickenhaus's SCG 003 to pack twin-turbo Honda V6?

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has made (or commissioned) two vehicles to date - the P4/5 and the P4/5 Competizione - and is now hard at work on its third. The first was based on the Ferrari Enzo and the second on a Ferrari F430, but the third is being developed independently from the ground up. The question, then, is what engine will it use?
Well now we may have our answer as Jalopnik reports that the SCG 003 (as it's known at the moment) will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 sourced from Honda, fitted with twin turbochargers and producing in excess of 500 horsepower.
Honda's J35Y engine produces 278 horsepower in the Accord, 290 hp in the Acura MDX and 310 hp in the RLX. It also forms the basis for the HR35TT racing engine which Honda Performance Development puts in its Daytona Prototype, so if the rumors turn out to be true, chances are that's probably the engine in question - with the possible addition of a hybrid electric assist - but we'll have to sit tight to find out for sure.

Cafe racer motorbikes storm Japan

Fri, 22 Nov 2013

Japan may be best known, at least among motorcycle enthusiasts, for its sport bikes. But as we found at the Tokyo Motor Show this year, Japanese motorcycle manufacturers are capable of producing all kinds of motorbikes. And to our delight, that includes cafe racers.
Along with the myriad electric bikes, dirt bikes, crotch rockets and scooters, the halls of Tokyo's Big Site convention center this year were full of the retro-infused rides we love. Chief among them was the Bolt (shown above) which Yamaha exhibited alongside their various electric two-wheelers, sporting a delicious metallic blue paintjob, inverted handlebars and hanging mirrors, machined metal bits, blacked-out trim and saddle brown leatherwork.
Honda was also on hand with a new EX version of its '70s-style CB1100 retro roadster in sinister and low-key matte black. And this was our first chance to check out BMW Motorrad's new birthday present to its 90-year-old self, the R NineT, a model recently unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. But one of the most amusing retro rides we came across was the Honda Monkey Limited, a mini bike that makes the new 125cc Grom (which was displayed alongside it) look positively gigantic.
