Here for sale is a very nice low mile 1993 Honda Civic 4 door, originally a base model DX, but has been freshened up to more like a EX
This fantastic little gas sipper has only 113,000 original miles, it was recently traded in at our location, it had a personalized interior by the previous owner
The car just was not happening the way it was, it had a bright white vinyl interior, on yellowish to cream colored carpet, and some extremely weird looking wheels, 13 inch
I decided to use miscellaneous donor cars to freshen up this one, I made it a one of a kind interior, matching grey cloth seats, newer tan carpet
The car was only equipped with a base AM-FM radio, not even a cassette player, only one mirror, on the drivers door, basic dash cluster, and worst of all, WHITE vinyl interior
This car was extremely, tastefully ugly, it was not something 99% of the people would be seen in, it was personalized for one, and one only
It had these very weird 13 inch wheels, retro chrome wheels on it, something that would make a farm wagon look bad
For the transformation, first I started with the sound department, I added a nice Pioneer Super Tuner in dash CD radio with a AUX port, added 2
rear speakers, 2 way Pioneer 6.5 inch in factory deck lid, and for the front, I installed 2 nice Kenwood 3 way 6.5 inch speakers, all sounds very good
Second, the interior, I started with the carpet, I used a nice, clean, non smokers, used tan carpet from a 1995 4 door EX sedan, better grade carpet
Then I went for the seats, this is where it got fun, the front seats are out of a 1996 2 door EX, the rear seat top is a 96 EX 2 door, and the bottom
part is from a 98 EX 4 door, same pattern and color
The dash cluster, with the original speedometer, the speedometer was removed from the original cluster, and added into a 1994 EX 2 door cluster
assembly, yes it is interchangeable, this is a much more sporty cluster, it has all full functioning gauges, the DX normally just had idiot lights
This cluster has a Tach, normal temperature gauge, better looking fuel gauge, and better lighting, gauges look clearer at night
I changed some of the interior trim, from a tan to a charcoal grey color, ash tray area, with lighter, DX didnt have that, center trim around hand brake
and shifter, it was basic, I replaced it with one from a 1995 EX 2 door, with cup holders in front of the shifter
The final part was a given, it need better looking wheels, I used 2004 Civic Hybrid, 4 door, 14 inch aluminum wheels, they are lighter than the regular 14 inch
wheels, they were designed for the Hybrid, you could never get these on a regular Civic, gracefully, we had a Hybrid that was burned in the main battery
compartment, wheels do have some scrapes on the, but look to match well with the combination of this Civic
This car runs and drives perfect, the miles will go up slightly, due that I decided to drive it until it sells, why not, 42 mile per gallon, OH Yeah
My daughter has a 2005 Civic, and believe this car rides better than hers, If you did care about being a 93 model year, you feel like your driving a new one, very,
very comfy interior, AC works great, heat works great, no wet spots on the ground, and motor is dry top to bottom
The timing belt and water pump was done at out facility at 105K, June of 2011, many, many miles left on this car
I installed a better looking right front turn signal, marker light, added front mud flaps
The ONLY, and I mean ONLY thing missing is ONE (1) stud on the right front wheel, a very easy replacement, half hour tops, I just didnt have any new ones,
and I would never use a used wheel stud
This little project was to assembly a perfect functioning car from salvaged, used car parts, and it turned out 150% perfect, very unique, and very functional, guaranteed, not one exactly the same in existence, unless someone see's this one, and decided to mimic it, all I can say is good luck to who try's
This car can be registered and taged HISTORIC  here for Maryland, not inspection, no emissions test, tag it and drive
This car has not one issue with it, everything about it is good, actually, not good, but PERFECT
This would be a great first car for a student, a great car for a commuter, and never the less, cheap on gas and parts. east to maintain, and virtually "kill it" proof
If you win this auction, you the buyer is responsible for pick up and transport, if you purchase it, and you live in Maryland, the car will be issued a temporary
tag and registration, tag, title, processing fees will apply, the same applys for out of state purchased as well.  If you get it and you live out of the state of
Maryland, the paperwork will be Over Nite shipped to you, with a return envelope included, once this is completed, it is your responsibility to have someone
pick it up for transport, have someone come a get it and drive it back
The vehicle can remain for on week on our property after purchase, this gives you a window, in case it cant be picked up right a way
Following the end of the Auction, a 200 dollar deposit is required at time of check out
Vehicle is sold in as is condition, where is, no warranties included, the vehicle is described to the best of my knowledge
Car can be test driven, viewed in Frederick Maryland, 21704, at Stups Auto Center and Used Cars
All paper work will be done on premises, as we are a licensed used car dealer, temp tag will be issued, and a permanent tag will come within 30 days
Buyer must have proof of insurance at time of final sale, for vehicle to be driven off our property
This car does not have a buy it now price, highest bidder to meet my reserve owns it

Thanks for looking

2016 Honda Pilot packs more of everything

Thu, Feb 12 2015

Honda has come a long way over the course of its history, evolving from motorcycles to automobiles, marine engines, power equipment, robots and even jet aircraft. But its biggest push over the past couple of decades has been in crossovers and SUVs. From the Passport that was rebadged from the Isuzu Rodeo in the early 90s, Honda's high-riding lineup has expanded to include the CR-V, the smaller HR-V, the oddball Crosstour, the soon-to-be-updated Ridgeline pickup, a smattering of luxury crossovers from Acura, and this, the biggest of them all, the Pilot. And Honda has just revealed an all-new version here at the Chicago Auto Show. Now in its third generation, the all-new 2016 Honda Pilot is, like its predecessors, a three-row family-hauler. Compared to the decidedly boxy model it replaces, the new Pilot is certainly more dynamically styled to more closely match the latest crossovers in the Honda lineup, but it may start to resemble the Odyssey minivan (with which it shares its underpinnings) too closely for some tastes. The new Pilot is three inches longer than the model it replaces, primarily to the benefit of cargo space: Honda says you can now fit a full-size 82-quart cooler in the back without infringing on the third row of seats – ingress and egress from which are now enabled by a power folding second row that opens a wider aperture to the back to more easily fit in all eight passengers. (That is, unless you go for the available second-row bucket seats that reduce capacity to seven.) Interior amenities are increased all around, with a proliferation of power outlets and connectivity ports and an available panoramic roof. Despite the growth, though, the new Pilot is 300 pounds lighter than the model it replaces. It is also built on a more solid platform, to the benefit of handling, crashworthiness and NVH insulation. Of course the new Pilot benefits from all the latest safety and driver-assist systems, and Honda anticipates top ratings from both the National Highway Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Power comes from a 3.5-liter V6 with all the tricks in the book (short of a hybrid assist) to make it as economical as possible. The i-VTEC engine has direct injection, cylinder deactivation, stop/start ignition and an automatic transmission with either six or (for the first time from Honda) nine speeds, depending on the trim level. Buyers will also be able to choose between front- or all-wheel drive.

Honda adopts English as its official language in meetings worldwide

Mon, 25 Nov 2013

Japanese was clearly the language of operation while we visited Honda's global headquarters in Tokyo last week, as well as its newest factory and principal test track. Chief executive Takanobu Ito (pictured above) spoke to us through an interpreter. But according to the latest reports, the Japanese language is being phased out at Honda in favor of English.
This according to Bloomberg, which points out that tire manufacturer Bridgestone and rival automaker Nissan have implemented similar measures, as have Japanese retail giants Fast Retailing Co. and Rakuten Inc. Honda's shift from Japanese to English comes as part of a shift in focus from central decision-making to a more regional model, but while English has clearly emerged as the international language of business, it's no coincidence that it's also the dominant language here in America. Bloomberg points out that over the 12-month period that ended this past March, North America accounted for a massive 47 percent of Honda's revenues worldwide.

Honda launches new Fit in Japan, has big expectations for North America

Thu, 05 Sep 2013

Honda has officially launched the Fit sub-compact in its home market, ahead of its eventual arrival in North America. The third-generation Fit is wildly important for Honda, with the company's president, Takanobu Ito, saying, "This is the most important model."
The third-generation Fit is a ground-up reworking of the car that we've come to know. It will pioneer Honda's new design language, Exciting H Design (seriously) and will also be the very first Fit to be manufactured in North America. Thanks to a Mexican factory that is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014, Honda will be able to produce 200,000 Fits for the North American market in North America, saving the brand a huge amount of cash.
As for that Exciting H Design, it's meant to be sleeker and more modern, according to Automotive News. It's not bad looking, but the overall design is far less important than what's under that hood. The vehicle you see above is a Fit RS, which has quite a resemblance to the rumored Fit Mugen. There's not a lot of detail on this model, but based on looks alone, we certainly hope it'll be coming to the North American market - it'd make a great Fit Sport. A hybrid variant will also come to the US market, and that car is returning impressive numbers on the Japanese cycle: 86 miles per gallon so far, thanks to the combination of an 1.5-liter, Atkinson-cycle, four-cylinder engine and a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission. That's a 35-percent improvement over the current, JDM Fit Hybrid.
