Up for bid is the Classic 1998 Honda Civic with the EX trim with about 157,951 miles.

Great dependable, smoker free car, great for back to school and college needs.  We are the 2nd owner of a well maintenance vehicle.  We usually had tune ups and oil changes every 3-5000 miles at a highly respected auto shop in town.  Body a bit rough, small nicks and dinks and the carpet has a few spots.  The timing belt was replaced at about 101,000 miles and the exhaust system in 7-10 so it may need replaced/inspected. The driver's sun visor needs patched or resurfaced. Tires are great as the Lincoln head shows.  Take a real close look at all the pictures and zoom in and out (high res pics) to see exactly the condition.  If was last checked up about 5 months ago and not driven much since then.  This is just the price of the car.  All other taxes, licenses, and other fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

Here are the basic details about the Honda:

Guarantee/Warrantee

We have described the item to the best of my ability.  If you have ANY questions regarding the item, please ask.  We normally do not refund anyone for changing their mind, buyer’s remorse or not liking the item once it is received.  This is NOT fair to those who actually wish to bid in hopes of winning.  We aren't the manufacture of the item and the warrantee (if warrantee even applies) has probably expired anyway, ALL OF OUR ITEMS ARE SOLD ON AN "AS-IS" BASIS AND ARE NON-REFUNDABLE unless of course, we did not accurately describe and/or photograph the proper item in the auction.  PLEASE CONTACT US FIRST BEFORE OPENING A CASE.  Ebay has "no tools" to edit their data base if someone files a mistaken case.  So we would get penalized and lose our T.O.P. R.A.T.E.D status when we did nothing wrong.  If you have ANY problem contact us immediately, we will fix any errors, if we don't for some reason you can always open a case with Ebay.

Payment Terms and Shipping

We accept all forms of payment via Paypal, MasterCard and Visa as well as other credit and debit cards. We accept proper forms of International Payment. Please allow PayPal ePayments more time to clear. We will ship after payment is made (usually the same business day).

Payment is expected within 48 hours unless you contact me and make other arrangements.  Items that have not been paid for within 4 days from winning bid will be reported to EBay for non-payment so I may re-list the item and also receive a refund for the fees EBay charges.  An unpaid claim will be opened against the buyer which could result in EBay closing that buyer’s account.   EBay tracks buyers who do not pay.

Please keep in mind that shipping costs include materials for shipping (i.e. bubble wrap, tissue paper, and boxes).  I try to keep the shipping costs as low as possible; I do not make money off of shipping costs.  The seller also pays a percentage of what is collected for postage to EBay.  Included in the shipping cost is the cost for tracking.  So please consider all of these scenarios when considering my shipping costs.

Sales Tax:

All State of Ohio residents will only be charged state and local sales tax (during the payment process), if an item is sold from our business, ANGELWRAP COM.

If it's an item from our home collection then NO SALES TAX WILL BE CHARGED.  An ANGELWRAP item is an item with an AngelWrap label (wool applique type product).

International Buyers:

I will combine shipping on items, so if you win on multiple items, please wait until I send the invoice for the final amount due.  I also ship internationally, please email for shipping costs BEFORE bidding.

We accept international bids so long as we are able to sell the item overseas (technical products are normally not allowed).  Shipping is based on where you live and how much the item weights.  Normally a 1lb box is about $15 or less to ship.  Please contact us for further details.

Combined shipping is done at our discretion. If you purchase more than one item from us, we will try and package together to save costs but item may arrive in separate packages.

Any item sold over $200 will be shipped with a required Signature Confirmation.

Local Pick Up

We normally don't sell items via Local Pickup, but if the item is heavy, say over 10lbs we may offer a Local Pickup available. Please email us before bidding closes to schedule pickup. Items MUST be paid for prior to picking up (if you purchased a large item (e.g. furniture, appliances, etc.), please call us first to verify the pick-up location.

Shipping Claims

We want your item to arrive promptly and safely. We use first-quality materials to pack items with care. There are rare occasions when an item is lost or sustains damage during shipment.

Please call us to initiate a claim with the shipping carrier. You must contact us within 48 hours of receiving the damaged item. Please retain all packaging and provide photos of the packaging and damage.  We will not refund any damage products without photographs for documentation.  There will be no exceptions.   The claims process takes approximately 10-21 business days. Once the claim from the shipping carrier is approved & paid, we will issue you the appropriate refund. If your item is over $100.00, we require declared value coverage for your shipment at payment. Our liability, without declared value coverage shall not exceed $100.00.

Returns

Buyer must contact us via eBay messages to initiate a return within 48 hours of receiving the item. Buyer is responsible for return shipping/declared value charges. Original shipping & handling charges are NON-REFUNDABLE..  If the item is broken in shipment a photograph must be provided.  No partial or full refunds will be made without the photograph.

It is our highest goal to provide the best customer service. If you have a problem with any item sold please email us and let us know.  Also leave positive feedback if your experience was likewise.

LEGAL

We are the owner of these items.  We have used its best efforts to inspect the item for sale and create descriptions and furnish photographs that fairly and adequately depict the type, condition and image of the goods at the time of sale.  We make no express or implied warranties or representations regarding the condition or suitability of the goods and to the extent allowed by law, specifically disclaims any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to any warranty of merchantability or fitness for purpose.

We reserves the right to cancel bids on any item due to negative bidder's feedback.

2016 Honda Civic Type R shows sometimes the grass really is greener [w/video]

Wed, Mar 4 2015

The newly unveiled Honda Civic Type R at the Geneva Motor Show seems like a cruel trick being played on North American hot hatch fans. Even if the European model's oblong shape and massive wing don't make for the pinnacle of automotive beauty, it's hard to question the vehicle's performance capability, especially after the 7:50.63 lap around the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The heart of the Civic Type R is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder pumping out 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet with a six-speed manual. The combination is reportedly good for a sprint to 62 miles per hour in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 167 mph. Honda also fits the CTR with Brembo brakes and adaptive dampers, while a special suspension setup reportedly helps in the fight against torque steer. While the big wing catches the eye first, Honda adds to the aggressive look with a new rear diffuser, front splitter and deeper side skirts. Also, the vents behind the front wheels help air through the engine bay to keep things running cool. Inside, front occupants are hugged by sport seats with big bolsters to keep them in place. With the forthcoming NSX and return to Formula One, Honda appears on the very cusp of a performance renaissance, and the Civic Type R is just one more step in that direction. Thankfully, at least one rumor indicates its turbocharged engine might make it into the North American Civic at some point. Related Video:

Is the Acura Legend coming back?

Fri, May 24 2019

Great news for fans of the Acura Legend: Honda has applied for a trademark in Europe for the word "Legend," pertaining to "Vehicles; Apparatus for locomotion by land; Apparatus for locomotion by air; Apparatus for locomotion by water; Parts and fittings for land vehicles; Parts and fittings for air and space vehicles; Parts and fittings for water vehicles." This trademark was first spotted by AutoGuide.com, and gives more credence to our speculation from a couple months ago about the possibility of the Legend nameplate returning to the Acura lineup in the States. If you were reading closely before, you'll notice that it was actually Honda that applied for the trademark, not Acura. The Legend was sold with a Honda badge on it in Europe back in the day, so this trademark filing in Europe makes perfect sense. In our previous report, we put forth the idea that Acura could bring the Legend name back with a successor to the RLX flagship sedan. Specifically, we were thinking that Acura would use the four-door coupe form previewed by the Acura Precision concept. That story also suggested a new Legend flagship could debut during Monterey Car Week. The 1986 Legend sedan was one of Acura's first two vehicles when the brand launched (the other being the Integra). It had a smooth 2.5-liter V6 that made all of 151 horsepower at the time. A sweet-looking coupe soon followed the sedan. The name Legend would be applied to a second-generation, which is arguably the one best-remembered. The coupe in particular has lived up to its name. Much of that legendary status, though, is the result of what followed: the Legend name and coupe body style dying for 1996 in favor of the RL, a four-door sedan as bland as its name. Acura's flagship has never recovered. We'll be quite pleased if Acura ultimately decides to reveal a totally new Legend to blow us away in Monterey. The return to actual names for the lineup would also be lovely. It's certainly working for Lincoln. Now if they'd only trademark "Integra" ...

Inside Honda's ghost town for testing autonomous cars

Thu, Jun 2 2016

On the edge of the San Francisco suburb of Concord, California sits a ghost town. Dilapidated buildings and cracked roads are framed by overgrowth and slightly askew street signs. The decommissioned five acre portion of the Concord Naval Weapons Station that once housed military personnel and their families is now home to squirrels, jack rabbits, wild turkeys and Honda's mysterious testing lab for autonomous vehicles. This former town within a Naval base – now dubbed "GoMentum Station" – is the perfect testing ground for Honda's self-driving cars. An almost turn-key solution to the problem of finding somewhere to experiment with autonomous vehicle inside an urban area. Thanks to the GoMentum Station, the automaker has access to 20 miles of various road types, intersections and infrastructure exactly like those found in the real world. Just, you know, without all the people getting in the way. While the faded lane markers and cracked asphalt might initially make it difficult for the car to figure out what's going on around it, that's exactly what you want when training a self-driving system. Many roads in the real world are also in dire need of upkeep. Just because autonomous vehicles are hitting the streets doesn't mean the funding needed to fix all the potholes and faded lane markers will magically appear. The real world doesn't work that way and the robot cars that will eventually make our commutes less of a headache will need to be aware of that. Plus, it's tougher to train a car to drive downtown than to barrel down the highway at 80 miles per hour. A company is going to want to get as much practice as possible. While semi-autonomous driving on the everyone-going-the-same-way-at-a-constant-speed freeway is already a reality, navigating in an urban environment is far more complex. If you've driven on the streets of Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago or Seattle you know that driving downtown takes far more concentration than cruising down the interstate. With all that in mind, Honda's tricked out Acura RLX did a good job during an (admittedly very controlled) hands-free demo. It didn't hit either of the pedestrians walking across its path. It stopped at stop signs and even maneuvered around a mannequin situated in the middle of the road. The reality is, watching a car drive around the block and safely avoid stuff is boring. Not to metion, Google has been doing this for a while in the real world.
