This car has been untouched since it left the dealer in 1993! It's only been driven to the office, grocery store and home only. The interior is maybe one of the cleanest as I never even had a passenger in the front or rear seats. This car has always been well maintained, never skipping an oil change due date and only serviced by a Honda dealer or ASE Certified Tech. shop. All 4 mud flaps are there, muffler and exhaust is the original with no rust, not even scraped or damaged in anyway, COLD A/C!!!, moonroof was rarely used and solid with no rust around trim, engine bay electrical is perfect with no electrical problems. All thought the original block went out at 490.000 miles, a freshly rebuilt and compression tested ZC block was installed with the ZC crank but stock D16 pistons. The original head also had a rebuild along with valve job. The stock transmission was replaced with also a ZC has been serviced and installed with the motor in the same service, as in the motor and transmission was taken out together and installed together after they both had been serviced. Along with new clutch, gaskets, rotor, distributor cap, new belts all around, hoses, and the list goes on and on. It has a honda cd player but I still have original radio with 190w 2 way sony explode speakers. New high performance adjustable "R & R Chassis" upper and lower ball joints, all bushings also has been replaced by the Honda dealer, years of service records can also be brought up at the Honda dealer with no a problem. Sorry but I had to sell the wheels separately, no good for some but perfect to bring those gold Rota wheels you have sitting around and drive it away. No dents other than little dings on the passenger fender and hood, all side molding are in great shape but the passenger side has little dings also. A crack on top of the middle dash that's barely visible, a small crack on top of the windshield, and a cracked drivers side taillight, and a few pencil point size holes on the top panel. although thieves did get in one time and sole the back cover and cut the carpet that cover the bottom panel as seen in one of the pictures. Other than that, this car has never gone over a curve, offroading, never raced or even red lined, not even a road raged lol you know you won't see another one in this condition! I took pictures of all the little flaws, so please look at the pictures carefully and don't bid until you had emailed me of any concerns or information that I might of forgotten, unless you know how rare this is and know what your getting...then go ahead and bid with confidence! I have all the proof of services, clean title and over $3000 in receipts from just the motor and transmission with electronic alignment and parts. I'm only selling it because I need to move to newer honda. This car has been with me for over 20 years, so I hope it goes to a good home! Check out my feedback or email me like I said and I'll reply asap, thank you and good luck!

Honda delays JDM Legend over quality concerns
Tue, Dec 30 2014Honda has been having some quality issues lately, to say the least. Most of those have revolved around the airbags supplied by Takata, but not exclusively. The new Fit Hybrid, for example, has been subject to five consecutive recalls in the year since it launched. And now the Japanese automaker is reportedly delaying the launch of its new Legend sedan. The Legend, for those unfamiliar, is what Honda calls the Acura RLX in the Japanese Domestic Market – a model that has been subject to a handful of recalls in the United States, affecting components ranging from headlights to seatbelts to suspension bolts. Such quality control issues have prompted Honda to delay the introduction of its flagship sedan in its home market, pushing its arrival in Japanese showrooms back from the fall (when the model was revealed) initially to January 22 and now to February 20, according to the report from Bloomberg. The extra time is earmarked the give Honda engineers the opportunity to look into potential problems with the vehicle's radar safety system and its advanced hybrid powertrain, before introducing it to the local market. Hopefully further recalls can be avoided once deliveries have commenced.
Honda exec says US market near capacity, could hurt subprime buyers
Thu, 21 Aug 2014Is there a point in the US auto industry where companies should start considering the welfare of their customers ahead of selling more cars? American Honda Executive Vice President of Sales John Mendel thinks that level exists, and we may be getting very close to it.
According to Automotive News, Mendel believes that finding more customers in the market could require pursuing subprime buyers and offering longer-term loans. However, he refuses to use those tactics. While selling models this way can improve things briefly, the strategies hurt resale prices and lower vehicle profits over time. The company won't do "stupid things in the short-term that damage the person who bought yesterday," he said to Automotive News. "It's a very, very short-term tactic especially in the subprime area."
American Honda, which combines the Acura and Honda brands, has seen market share decline from 9.7 percent to 9.1 percent through July 2014, according to Automotive News, and Autoblog's By the Numbers stats showed it posted falling sales in five of the seven months with data this year. Though, Mendel claims that was partially because the company focused on retail sales over fleets. The delays of the launches for the Honda Fit and Acura TLX likely didn't help either.
Who can really claim first mass-produced fuel cell vehicle delivery in US?
Thu, Jun 19 2014Last month, Hyundai said that the initial deliveries of the Tucson Fuel Cell vehicles in California meant that, "For the first time, retail consumers can now put a mass-produced, federally-certified hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in their driveways." But try telling that to Jon Spallino. In 2005, Honda leased a hydrogen fuel cell FCX, a small hatchback, to the Spallino family (as far as we know, he parked it in his driveway). The company did the same thing again in 2008 with the FCX Clarity, a sleek new design based on the FCX Concept, and others signed for the H2 ride as well, including celebrities. No matter how you slice it, Honda has been in the fuel cell delivery market for almost a decade now. Just look at this. Or this. Or this. Oh, and other automakers (General Motors in Project Driveway in 2006 and Mercdes-Benz with the F-Cell in 2010, for example) have delivered fuel cell vehicles in the US as part of short-term test programs. But let's get back to Hyundai's claim. There's little question that the first delivery of a "fuel cell vehicle for the US market" has already taken place (and they were federally certified, too), which means that the debate revolves around the definition of mass-produced and whether "mass production" is about a number or about the process? Let's investigate below. First, lets review Honda's bona fides. We can start with the official version of Honda's fuel cell history, which is missing the pertinent detail that Honda build the Clarity on a dedicated assembly line and established a small network of three dealerships to lease the FCX Clarity in 2008. All of the FCX Clarity vehicles in customer hands in the US were leased through these dealerships. Sure, Honda started with hand-built stacks in its hydrogen vehicles, but went to automated control of some parts and components with series production. "It is good to see others doing today what we've been doing since 2008" – Steve Ellis, Honda Or, as Honda's Steve Elllis put it to AutoblogGreen regarding Hyundai's fuel cell deliveries: "This was exactly as prescribed by the creation of the California Fuel Cell Partnership. It's the very essence of 'co-op-itition.' We at Honda, as do many others, continue to push forward on many technologies, both the battery and the fuel cell. And society is the beneficiary." Then he added, "It is good to see others doing today what we've been doing since 2008." Now, how does Hyundai compare?
