This is a wonderful car and great on gas. It is not a truck and that is what I need at the moment and I do not need the additional auto payment. I purchased the vehicle with 100 miles and it now has a little over 10,000. There is still a lot of life left. The car is dark gray with a gray interior. As I mentioned in the section above the title is considered salvage under Texas law because the dealership wrote it off completely for insurance due to rising water. I had an inspector look at it before I purchased it and it was his opinion that the water did not rise into the floorboard. We purchased a gem at a decent price. The only issue we had is a dash warning that says to "tighten the fuel cap". The message comes and goes but is a known Honda Civic issue if you search the internet but does not affect the car in any way except for the annoyance of pressing the okay button when it appears. I am not trying to discourage anyone to buy the vehicle but I just want to be completely up-front before you bid. Civics seem to run for a long time. My wife had one in high school and it ran to over 250,000 miles. While I offer no guarantee you can find many similar accounts from Honda Civic owners online. The back seat folds down flat for golf clubs. It is a conservative car that will get you where you need to go without much attention or expense. The car has had 2 oil changes from the dealer and due for another in July. The Texas inspection sticker will be renewed in May. |

Honda announces 2015 Pilot Special Edition
Tue, 03 Jun 2014Honda doesn't have any exciting new mechanical or aesthetic changes for the 2015 Pilot eight-passenger crossover, but it is adding a new trim level to give families a compromise between the EX and EX-L models.
The new Special Edition trim is available on either the front-wheel or all-wheel drive versions of the Pilot, and it adds Pewter Gray aluminum wheels, a power moonroof, a rear seat entertainment DVD system and Sirius XM radio. Prices come to $33,950 for the two-wheel drive version, after the $830 destination charge, or $35,550 for all-wheel drive after destination.
Prices for the rest of the trims are up $200 over last year, and they all still come standard with remote entry, a rearview camera and Class III trailer hitch. Power is still provided by a 3.5-liter V6 with 250 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque with a five-speed automatic. Fuel economy is unchanged as expected with front-wheel drive models rated at 18 miles per gallon city, 25 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined, and four-wheel drive models make 1 mpg less at 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined. Acura NSX GT3 data 'will inform future iterations' of the street car
Wed, Jul 20 2016Motorsports programs exist to drive innovation in road vehicles, and that's precisely what's happening at Honda. Acura NSX development boss Nick Robinson told Autocar that the company's work on the GT3 racing variant is directly informing future development on the road car. "In North America, we've just unveiled the GT3 version of the car, and the development team of the street car has had some involvement in its development," Robinson said. "What works well on the track will inform future iterations and updates of the street car and vice versa." But Honda is a big company that does more than build cars. Robinson paid tribute to the impact his employer's well-known motorcycle program had on the NSX. Apparently, building stuff like the CBR helped Honda with the NSX's complicated packaging. "For many years our motorcycle development teams have strived to ensure the optimum centralization of mass, ensuring the lowest possible center of gravity," Robinson told Autocar. "This leads to the best possible yaw response." Is this all a sign that a long-rumored lighter, faster NSX, potentially wearing the vaunted Type R badge, will be especially track-focused? Maybe. Robinson's comments indicate that the company is doing something with the mountains of data it collects running a GT3 program. While a pure road-focused NSX-R successor seems like it'd be a waste of that data, an NSX-based rival to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS might make a lot more sense. Honda renders three-row MPV for Jakarta reveal
Mon, 22 Jul 2013In preparation for the Indonesia International Motor Show coming up in September, Honda has released a teaser sketch (click to enlarge) of a new three-row MPV - specifically designed for this region - set to debut at the show. Honda says this yet-to-be-named people mover will be positioned in the entry-level MPV segment, which it says is a crucial part of the Indonesian auto market.
While there is no way to tell the size of the vehicle based off this rendering, it does appear to be far more stylish than the Honda CR-V, although the stepped-down beltline and the pinched shape of the rear quarter window have us thinking that Honda designers have been staring at the BMW i3 a little bit too much. The New Honda MPV will be powered by a 1.5-liter gas engine, and it goes on sale (and production) in Indonesia early next year.
