This was purchased by us in it's current condition with North Carolina State salvage repairable paperwork per water damage. This vehicle was involved in high waters of Hurricane Sandy. The paperwork is filled out with "not actual miles" as the auction we purchased it from is not allowed to test these type vehicles to get the miles. Although this Civic does have only 13,311 miles. It will have to pass a salvage inspection before being able to be put on the road. Please read our description below. All of our project cars are sold "as is" with no warranty expressed or implied. Now as to this vehicle: exterior - The vehicle's exterior is in great condition but has scratches on the rear bumper cover and one scratch on the front cover. Also, There is a dent on the right fender and right rocker panel. All the rims and glass are in excellent condition. The matching tires are Goodyear Eagle (205/55/16) all having about 90% tread remaining . drive train - The vehicle will start and run for a few seconds then stall. The key light is flashing on the dash so we believe the vehicle has security issue. interior- The interior is in great condition but is dirty and can use a cleaning. and the power windows/locks are inoperative. A $500.00 deposit of the final price is due within two days of the close of the auction. The balance due is required within 7 days from the close of the auction and must be in the form of a bank wire transfer or cashiers check. we reserves the right to close an auction at any time. Honda reveals more with Civic Type R concept bound for Paris
Mon, 29 Sep 2014The reveal of the next-generation Honda Civic Type R has been a gradual one. First Honda showed us a camouflaged prototype, then let us drive one at its Japanese proving ground and followed up with a concept at the Geneva Motor Show. Now with the Paris Motor Show looming on the horizon, it has revealed yet another concept to keep hot-hatch enthusiasts on their toes.
The second Civic Type R concept appears almost identical to the first one - right down to the aggressive aero kit, quad exhaust tips, oversized wheels and ultra-low-profile rubber - but wears a new coat of Superman blue with go-fast decals. With its release, however, Honda has confirmed some of the salient details set for the production version.
In the nose sits a 2.0-liter turbo four with 276 horsepower and a 7,000-rpm redline, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Adaptive dampers and a "steer axis" system promise to keep the power under control, while a push of the +R button tightens up the suspension, steering and torque mapping.
Takata airbag recalls add another 5 million vehicles
Fri, May 15 2015The Takata airbag inflator recall expanded by about 6.5 million vehicles recently when Toyota and Nissan announced global expansions to replace the faulty parts. You can add another 5 million more as Honda and Daihatsu also broaden their replacement campaigns. Although in this latest case, none of the affected models are in the United States or Canada. Honda is recalling 4.89 million more vehicles globally, and Daihatsu has about 260,000 to repair in Japan, according to Automotive News. With these latest expansions, all of the affected automakers have needed to fix about 36 million vehicles globally for these faulty airbags since 2008. Some of the first instances of these problems were found in an Isuzu campaign in 2001. This latest round of recalls was sparked by a study from Takata that found the inflators' propellant could be affected by moisture over time. While the automakers received this information in March, it took time to determine the number of vehicles in need of repair and where they were located, according to Automotive News. To make sure all of the affected vehicles in the US are repaired in a timely fashion, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is reportedly considering a strategy to force things to speed up. Honda and Toyota are already using outside suppliers for the parts they need. Acura NSX GT3 non-hybrid racecar on sale soon
Thu, Jul 27 2017Just over a year ago, Acura debuted the NSX GT3, the FIA GT3-spec racecar based on the automaker's latest and greatest. While it took years for the road car to hit the streets, the NSX GT3 was developed in a relatively short amount of time. This year, the car competed in several races under the factory banner, racking up 50,000 miles and two race victories. Today, Honda and Acura announced the NSX GT3 will go on sale for private teams. Think of the NSX GT3 as a stripped out version of the standard NSX sans hybrid system. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo remains, but, since there are no electric motors up front, all the power is sent to the rear wheels through a XTRAC semi-automatic 6-speed sequential transmission. The chassis is built in Ohio right alongside the regular NSX. The same goes for the engines. The block, heads, valve train, crankshaft, pistons, and dry-sump lubrication system are the same specification as the production car. Final assembly is completed in Italy. This past year, the NSX GT3 competed under the Acura banner in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD class and the Pirelli World Challenge GT category. In addition to those series, the car is built to compete in the Blancpain GT Series and 24 Hours Nurburgring in Europe, the Super GT GT300 class in Japan, as well as other GT3-spec race series. Different divisions of Honda will be handling global sales, with HPD responsible for the North American market. US pricing hasn't been announced, but converting the European models start at about $545,000. Now we just want to see a lightened, non-hybrid version of the NSX on the street.
