2009 Honda Civic Si Coupe on 2040-cars
Syosset, New York, United States
For sale is my 2009 Honda Civic Si Coupe, black in color. Car is mint inside and out with a clean title in hand. I am the second owner. The engine is completely stock and runs like new. Exterior is clean and was taken care of. The interior is perfect, also black in color with red stitching, and Si embriodered into the front seats. Car is a NON-SMOKER. Car was taken care of with Mobile 1 synthetic oil. Sits on Skunk2 Full adjustable ride height coilover suspension. I have done multiple subtle tasteful mods to the interior including red type r honda emblems, Skunk2 titanium weighted shift knob, Carbon fiber trim on the steering wheel and shifter plate, and red suade door panels. The exterior has retrofit projector headlights with 6000k HID kit ( those who know of "theretrofitsource" know these are very nice, and expensive) also has an HFP front lip, red type r emblems and tints over tailight reverse lights. I also installed an Exedy stage I clutch and lightweight flywheel, all paperwork is on hand for clutch and coilovers.

2014 Honda Accord Hybrid [w/video]
Mon, 14 Oct 2013Delivering On Promises
The 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid should surprise no one. Its look is something we've seen since the non-hybrid versions went on sale last year. Its powertrain, mostly, we are familiar with from the already-on-sale Accord Plug-In model. And the overall vibe of the car? Well, it's an Accord, which has been a strong seller in the US for three decades, so much so that there's a very good chance you've been in one at some point, whether you noticed or not.
Honda's first attempt at an Accord Hybrid, released in 2005, put dynamic performance first, but it didn't match the public's maturing perception of what a hybrid is all about: fuel economy. The 2005 version was capable of a measly 28 miles per gallon combined, 25 in the city and 33 on the highway. Remember those numbers, and that the first-generation Accord Hybrid lasted all of three model years before being axed.
Honda Civic poised to get new Earth Dreams engines
Mon, 24 Jun 2013When Honda executed its emergency refresh of the Civic for 2013, it didn't do any massive powertrain reworking. But that doesn't mean new things aren't already in the works for Honda's compact. According to Automotive News, Honda has confirmed that it will offer the Civic with a new Earth Dreams powerplant sometime in the future, though details on timing and exactly what sort of engine are unclear as of this writing.
The confirmation comes from Honda's executive vice president and regional director for North America, Tetsuo Iwamura, who says that the Earth Dreams engine will come when the Civic is re-engineered or redesigned, not during a refresh. There is also no mention of whether these changes will apply to just the standard Civic, or if the Si and Hybrid models will receive some Dreamy new tech, as well.
The entire Earth Dreams group of technologies encompasses more than just naturally aspirated engines with direct injection. A turbo-diesel engine is also part of this suite, as are new continuously variable transmissions and new gasoline-electric hybrid powerplants. Honda launched its 2.4-liter and 3.5-liter Earth Dreams engines in the redesigned 2013 Accord.
Honda recalls nearly 10,000 new Civic models over pinched tires
Mon, 31 Mar 2014Honda is recalling some 9,816 Civic LX coupes and sedans from the 2014 model year due to a potential tire problem.
According to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notice, the safety problem stems from an installation problem at a supplier, which may have caused the tire bead to become pinched between the steel wheel and the mounting equipment. As a result, tire beads may have been damaged, which could result in a loss of pressure, a condition that could lead to an increased accident risk, or at least an increased risk of being stranded and late for work.
Honda spokesperson Chris Martin tells Autoblog, "Only about 1,800 of that 9,800 have been sold because we caught it so quickly. The majority of them were in transit or unsold at dealers."
