Added remote starter, all-weather floor mats, new tires. Kelly Blue Book value: $10,584"

Hi! I'm selling my sporty 2005 2-door Honda Civic Ex. Kelly Blue Book lists the value at $10,584, but I'm starting the price at $7,300. No one has ever smoked in this car. I am the third owner, but the two previous owners did not drive the car far (one drove it to church and back once a week), and the current mileage is almost at 68,000 miles. I will sell to someone in the NYC area - I will NOT ship the car. Payment will be accepted in money orders or bank checks, no personal checks.

It is a compact car in superb condition, but since I will be moving into Manhattan to be closer to my new job, I no longer need a car to commute. It handles very well, being light and low to the ground, and it is very responsive to gas/brake etc. I have every receipt from all checkups the car has had under my ownership, including for the 4 new tires replaced two years ago, the remote starter added a year ago, and the brand new battery replaced this summer. The car also has all-weather waterproof floor mats to keep the original mats from getting dirty.

The tires were replaced because I drove over something sharp and popped one, and the manufacturer recommends replacing all tires at once. Because of this, you'll get an extra tire in the car (bought between replacing the burst tire and replacing all four tires). This car has been kept in very good condition, with frequent check-ups and cleanings. There are a few scratches on the back bumper from it being a city car as you can see in the pictures, but nothing that a little cosmetic paint can't fix. It has always passed state emissions and safety tests. I would love to keep it, but it doesn't make sense to pay for insurance and upkeep for a car I now drive once or twice a month compared to every day. So, I'm hoping to pass it on to someone who needs it like I needed it.

I've included as much technical information below, but of course am happy to answer anything I've left out. If interested, please email to view and test drive the car. Thanks!

Honda Civic Tourer to debut at Frankfurt

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

Honda will be bringing its new Civic Tourer to next month's Frankfurt Motor Show, just as we predicted in our spy shots of the new MPV from back in April. The new model, which will arrive in European dealers in 2014, will be built alongside Honda's Euro-spec Civic hatchback, Jazz (Honda Fit) and CR-V in Swindon, Wiltshire, UK.
Honda first hinted at the Civic Tourer with a concept at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, which is set to do battle with the Toyota Auris and Volkswagen Golf in the European market. The production Civic Tourer will also be shown alongside a refreshed Civic hatchback, yet another NSX Concept variant, a McLaren MP4/4 Formula One car, and Honda's World Touring Car Championship Civic.

2016 Honda HR-V First Drive [w/video]

Thu, Apr 30 2015

Compact crossovers are all the rage right now, and the 2016 Honda HR-V enters the marketplace at a crucial time. This class only had three or four entries just a year or two ago, and the number of players should double this year. That equates to an estimated 236,000 sales of B-segment CUVs in 2015, more than twice last year's sales, according to AutoPacific data. Honda joins a growing list of automakers looking to cash in on expanding sales. Fiat-Chrysler has its adorably Italian Fiat 500X and tiny-tough Jeep Renegade siblings. Chevy brought its small Trax to the US market from abroad. The Nissan Juke carries on with oddball styling and zippy dynamics. And the small-boxy class sales king Kia Soul could add all-wheel drive model to further increase its appeal. The HR-V doesn't break any new ground here. It starts with the Swiss Army Knife packaging of the Fit hatchback, then adds a more powerful engine, increased ground clearance, and all-wheel drive. It's nothing revolutionary, but that's not a bad thing. In typical Honda style, the beauty lies in the execution. What we have here is an attractive, compact crossover. It looks like a puffed-up Fit, or Honda Fat if you will. At 169.1 inches in length, the HR-V is more than a foot longer than the Fit (and almost nine inches shorter than the original CR-V). But with clean, taut lines that sculpt the body sides the HR-V is anything but bloated. We particularly like the integration of the rear door handles into the C-pillar. This thing is cute, especially with the rounded nose and chiseled rear end. And the chunky, five-spoke, 17-inch alloy wheels we like so much are standard even on the base model. There are a couple of weird bits to the styling. Like the way the hood cutline spills over to the front quarter panel and the oversized, fang-shaped taillamps. But overall the HR-V looks great. It has more modern appeal than the Trax, and while the 500X and Renegade are more interesting to our eyes, the HR-V has plenty of pizzazz for folks afraid of flamboyance. That reserved charm carries on in the interior. Like the exterior, the cabin is a safe kind of stylish. Materials include a mix of fabrics and plastics on the doors, plus obligatory soft-touch surfaces abound because, you know, we're all in the habit of squeezing dashboards these days. The row of three vents in front of the passenger seat looks nice, and there's added storage underneath the center console.

Honda Civic Wagon Concept to debut at Geneva

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

Honda is getting warmed up for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, with a sketch of some very Euro-flavored forbidden fruit. Seen above (click on the image to see an expanded view) is the Honda Civic Wagon Concept Model - a rather tentative name for a car that Honda claims "provides strong cues for the exterior design of the final mass produced version."
The sketch seen here is obviously very stylized, but we think that if Honda can stay true to its sleek rounded forms and aggressive silhouette, the final product could be quite fetching. Note that this is an image handed out by Honda of Europe, for a European auto show - we have every expectation that that any production-ready Civic wagon will be a Europe-only deal. Sorry, guys.
Find Honda's brief press release below, which also includes news of the European debut of the updated NSX Concept we saw at January's Detroit Auto Show, along with a diesel-powered CR-V.
