2004 Honda Civic Hybrid Sedan 4-door 1.3l, Rebuilt Vehicle on 2040-cars
Cape Elizabeth, Maine, United States
I bought this car with 43,000 miles, and it now has a little over 83,000. Exterior and Interior are in good shape, only minor knicks and chips here and there. No rust, underbody is in great shape as well. Car gets about 40 miles a gallon, and has only been used for commuting. Car comes with a nice CD player and bluetooth already installed. Car handles excellent on the highway, perfect for a commuter who wants to save a ton on gas.
Here are the issues: -Rebuilt title: Car was in a wreck prior to me owning it. I had it taken to a Honda dealership prior to my purchasing it, and they said that whoever rebuilt the vehicle did excellent work. -The car vibrates slightly off the line. This is a manufacturer's defect (I researched the issue and called Honda). Honda will not pay to fix this because of the rebuilt title status. The car has had this issue since I purchased it in 2009, and it has never been an issue. -Air bag light is on, AC does not work. -Driver's Side keyhole fell inside the door. I just got an inspection sticker in June, and I put new brake pads on it at that time. Oil has been changed regularly. If you can deal with the issues listed above or you are willing to get them fixed, then this is the perfect car for you. The reason I am selling this vehicle is because I want something 4WD for the Winter. This car will probably go for another 100,000+ miles no problem. |

Honda shows us 'The Challenging Spirit of Honda'... in Japanese
Sun, 29 Dec 2013Just as Porsche has done with its lengthy Le Mans gear-up, Honda is is laying the table for its Formula One return more than a year before we'll actually see it on track. We've heard what it's 2015 engine will sound like, reminisced with the 1988 McLaren Honda MP4/4 and the 1964 Honda RA271 and spoken to the company's CEO about what F1 involvement could do for its production car engines.
The automaker has now released a video called The Challenging Spirit of Honda that traces the development of its in-house F1 program and the jump from motorcycles to the first RA270 F1 chassis in 1962, to the RA272 chassis that won the 1965 Grand Prix. The only catch: the video is in Japanese. However, you can read about the winning car in English, and the video ends with another sound check of the 2015 power unit. That is a universal language, and you'll find it being spoken below.
Minivan market not what it used to be, but margins make up for it
Thu, 05 Jun 2014
Residual values for last year's minivans are higher than they were in 2000.
Much like the station wagon was the shuttle of Baby Boomer generation, the minivan has been the primary means of transport for Generations X and Y. Just as the boomers abandoned the Country Squire, though, those kids that were toted around in Grand Caravans and Windstars are adults, and they certainly don't want to be seen in the cars their parents drove.
Question of the Day: What's the most irritating car name?
Wed, Mar 9 2016You hear a lot about how the Chevrolet Nova was a sales flop in Mexico because "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish; in fact, the Nova sold pretty well south of the border, and in any case most Spanish-speakers know that "Nova" means "new" in Latin and Portuguese. However, General Motors doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for bad car names, because the Oldsmobile Achieva— no doubt inspired by the excruciating "coffee achievers" ads of the 1980s— scrapes the biggest fingernails down the screechiest chalkboard in the US-market car-name world. That is, unless you think Daihatsu's incomprehensible choice of Charade was worse. Meanwhile, Japanese car buyers could get machines with cool names like Mazda Bongo Friendee or Honda Life Dunk. It's just not fair! So, what car name drives you the craziest? Related Video: Auto News Design/Style Chevrolet Honda Mazda Daihatsu Automotive History questions car names
