i just bought a 2009 honda cng and also an electric car and i am getting rid of my 2001 civic. the old tank expires in 2015-2016 and the new tank expires in 2025 or something like that. The body has 270k miles but the motor was replaced by honda at 220k miles The transmission was replaced at 180k miles by honda The head, timing belt, water pump was replace about 2k miles ago All four tires were replaced 3k miles ago with good years and i think 2 or all four i put the road side service plan on. The battery, acompressor, and alternator were all replaced about a year ago. There is upgraded pioneer speakers and a very nice blue tooth mp3 player installed with remote. I usually get around 350 miles per fill and if i do a double fill (fill up and wait 30 minutes and fill again) i can get over 400 miles per fill. The car has no trunk or a very small space available in the trunk. This car has been my daily driver for the last 2 years. The registration was just paid for but i have not smoged the car yet. Also the car has never been smoked in. The problems with the car: About every 4-8 months the car will not start after filling. It only happens after filling, i am not sure why. I just spay some starting fluid in the intake and it starts up. I will include a can of starting fluid and a full tank of gas upon purchase!!!! also motor mounts are starting to wear out.they cost about 120. The car has some minor dings and scratches and paint chips the car is 12 years old and has 270k miles. I have drove the car with all of the problems for the last 2 years and it has saved me over 7k dollars in fuel and so much time on the freeway. The car comes with the faded white carpool sticks on the sides and back. This car is very reliable and never has let me down. any questions ask me and i will try to reply. I paid 3k dollars for the extra tank a year ago and also 1500 for the new head/water pump. The new tires cost me 600. so i am setting a reserve of 4500 so i can at least get some of my money back. |

2021 Acura TLX to start at $38,525, hits dealers this fall
Thu, Aug 20 2020The 2021 Acura TLX will start at $38,525 (including a $1,025 destination fee) when it arrives in dealerships this fall. The flagship Type S model, which will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V6, will not arrive until spring, and while Acura has not yet finalized pricing, we're told it will start above the $50,000 mark. The $38,525 base price of the 2021 TLX makes it $4,500 more dear than the model it replaces, but competitive with most of its luxury peers, largely thanks to its far more potent base engine. In fact, the 272-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo mill in the 2021 model in only down 18 horsepower from the V6 offered as the upgraded engine in the 2020. The new also TLX gets an updated platform that brings back its traditional double-wishbone front suspension, introduces a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and marks the return of the sporty Type S to the model lineup. To further make up for the rather large price increase, Acura has seen to it that the TLX is more feature-rich pretty much across the board. For example, base models now get a 10-speaker audio system with twin subwoofers and 12-way powered front seats. All models also come standard with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration for 2021. We'll come back to the Type-S momentarily; first, here's a breakdown of 2021 TLX pricing with destination included: 2021 TLX 2.0T — $38,525 2021 TLX 2.0T with Technology Package — $42,525 2021 TLX 2.0T with A-Spec Package —  $45,275 2021 TLX 2.0T with Advance Package — $47,325 A-Spec models are focused on sporty appearance and handling add-ons, while the Technology package is geared more toward those who want more convenience features. The Advance trim effectively blends them together and adds more premium features, such as Milano leather seating surfaces, heated seats and a heated steering wheel. Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system (SH-AWD) is available across the lineup for $2,000. As for the 355-horsepower Type S model, Acura says it won't appear in showrooms until spring 2021, and while pricing has yet to be finalized, Acura says it will cost more than $50,000. That tracks, considering the Advance Package with SH-AWD is already a $49,325 car. Related Video: 2021 Acura TLX unveiling
Honda wins Commercial of the Decade, but not for the ad you think [w/VIDEO]
Fri, 18 Dec 2009Honda's Commercial of the Decade: "Grrr" - Click above to watch video
The mad men at Adweek recently voted for the Commercial of the Decade (Super Bowl commercials not included) and Honda took top honors over memorable ads from the last ten years by companies like Nike, Budweiser and Sony. That's not a big surprise considering Honda often puts a huge amount of effort into its on-air spots. However, the Japanese automaker didn't win for the commercial you might have expected: "Cog." Though Honda's famous commercial that breaks down a European Accord Tourer into a Rube Goldberg-esque machine was also a finalist, it was beaten by another Honda commercial called "Grrr" that's narrated by Garrison Keillor of all people. You've probably never seen it, but you can after the jump.
Volkswagen also made the list of finalists, but the particular ad chosen out of all the comical VW ads we've seen was unexpected as well. Most surprising carmaker with a commercial in the finals: Saturn. Who knew...
Honda slaps Legend name on JDM Acura RLX
Mon, 10 Nov 2014It's been eighteen years since we last saw the Legend nameplate in Acura showrooms here in the US, but in Japan it's still very much alive as Honda's flagship sedan. And now the Japanese automaker has revealed the latest generation.
Set to go on sale across Japan on January 22 - 30 years since the nameplate was introduced - the new Honda Legend is essentially the same model we already know in the States as the new Acura RLX. Only by "essentially," we mean exactly. It is the RLX, only with Honda badges instead of Acura ones. The manufacturer hasn't even changed the grille or the wheels.
Although the RLX is being offered Stateside in two forms, the new JDM Honda Legend will only come in one form, equivalent to our Sport Hybrid, with Super Handling All-Wheel Drive and a hybrid powertrain pairing a 3.5-liter V6 to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission with integrated electric motor. For the privilege of owning the most luxurious car Honda makes, Japanese customers will have to pony up ¥6,800,000 - which about adds up to $59,950 we'd pay for an RLX Sport Hybrid.
