Here you have for auction a 98 Honda civic coupe shell / rolling chassis with a clean Florida title. Its a original 5 speed manual car. The car was my project car but I no longer afford to continue it The car is ready for any swap. The shell was professionally painted 6 months ago along with the engine bay. The car was painted the stock color cypress green metallic on the outside and the engine bay was done with a custom teal metallic. The car has zero dents, chips or fading going on looks excellent has great shine. Also has brand new headlights. The car is riding on coilovers all around and has adjustable upper control arms in front and rear camber adjustment as well. It has 3 EF civic wheels and 1 steelie. The interior is clean no cracks in the dash, has a brand new windshield but the door panels are not in the best of shape common issue for these year civic but there sturdy.Its missing the passenger seat but the rear seats and driver seat are there and in good shape. The manual window regulators work perfect and smooth and the carpet is clean no rips or burns. Overall its a great project all you really need to do is drop in a swap and ride. Consumer Reports' first motorcycle reliability report finds Japanese brands ahead
Sat, 22 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has released its first ever study of motorcycle reliability, and students of its ratings on cars might notice a suspicious similarity - Japanese brands require fewer repairs than the leading American or German brands.
The study analyzed the reliability of 4,680 bikes owned by CR subscribers and found that Yamaha had the best ratings, with just one in ten bikes built between 2009 and 2012 requiring a repair over a four-year period. The makers of the R1 and R6 sport bikes were closely followed by Kawasaki and Honda, while one out of every four of the rumbling bikes from Harley-Davidson experienced an issue. BMW had the worst rating of the brands represented, with one in three bikes having problems.
According to CR, neither Suzuki nor Triumph owners provided enough information for a reliable rating. Based on the responses received, though, Suzuki would have finished with the other Japanese brands and Triumph, being English, would have been one of the less reliable makes.
Honda execs take 'quality-related' pay cut after Fit Hybrid's 5th recall
Thu, 23 Oct 2014Generally, the best policy in life is to admit when you're wrong and just accept the consequences. However, that attitude generally seems to be a bit less common in the world of business - at least without some government or legal prodding. So, it's especially surprising to learn that top Honda executives in Japan are taking a pay cut for the next three months following the fifth recall of the Fit Hybrid (pictured above) in the last 12 months.
According to Reuters, Chief Executive Takanobu Ito is taking a 20-percent pay cut to make amends for the quality issues. Also, 12 other high-ranking executives are taking 10 percent drops in their salaries. In addition to those temporary changes, Honda is creating a new position in charge of monitoring vehicle quality.
The latest recall fixes "noise-related defects," according to Reuters, on both the hybrid and naturally aspirated versions of the Fit, both variants of the Vezel (the sibling to the future HR-V in the US) and the N-WGN. There have also been three recalls for problems with the hybrid's seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. None of them have caused reported injuries or deaths, and these issues haven't affected US models.

Sat, 20 Apr 2013Yes, it looks a bit, uh, toothy, but what you see here is a concept that previews a brand new small MPV specifically designed for the Chinese market. Called the Concept M, the swoopy Honda was designed in Japan and the automaker is currently aiming to launch a production version in China sometime in 2014.
Honda hasn't released many details about its small van concept, simply saying that it "offers the attributes of a passenger car while adding new value through the realization of a comfortable and spacious cabin space made possible by Honda's packaging technologies, and the fun of driving." Doesn't sound too bad to us.
