Great condition 1993 Honda Civic DX 4 door sedan with 155,000 miles
I love this car! This vehicle is bullet proof and was my commuter car since September and it was very reliable. Even better, I am obsessed with gas milage and this car cruises at 36 miles per gallon! I spend $30 in gas and the car gets me to work all week and weekend stuff before needing to be filled up. I never had to make any repairs.
These cars have been the best selling car in the United States for 25 years because they have a reputation for going 300,000+ miles. Low maintenance, awesome reliability, best resale value on the market. If this car is properly taken care of it can resale for 90% easy.
There are no aftermarket mechanical parts on this vehicle. No intake, no fancy lights, no loud muffler. This is one of the few Honda Civics you'll find that isn't "suped up." This means that this car wasn't driven like a race car so the motor and transmission will last longer.
Additional specs:
- Motor and automatic transmission run very well
- Car starts perfectly
- Interior is in immaculate condition with typical wear and tear
- Exterior has typical wear and tear but no dents, minimal scratches and dings
- New Tires
- New spark plugs
- New spark plug wires
- New air filter
- New fuel filter
- New battery
- Rotors were recently replaced
- All headlights, turn signals, break lights, high beams, interior lights, dash lights functional
- Sony CD player with Mp3 capability (Auxiliary cord included)
- Upgraded speakers
- Upgraded rims and tires
- Front and rear strut bars for added strength to frame
- Passed inspection until September 2014
- Power steering
- Driver side airbag
- Spare tire, car jack, tow hitch, tire iron included
- No flooding
- No cracks in windshield or any other glass
- No exhaust leaks
- No check engine light
- 2 keys
- Maintenance records kept
The AC needs to be charged and the instrument panel light (light behind the speedometer) is temperamental, likely a fuse but I never bothered to replace it. I babied this car and it seems the previous owners did the same. Don't forget about the gas milage, this car is great on gas! Again, I averaged 36 miles per gallon in this car at a 70/30 highway/city ratio! I wish I could keep it but I'm moving to Manhattan and won't be needing a car any longer. I'm excited to see who will drive this car to 300,000 miles! Happy bidding!

Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha to make swappable motorcycle batteries
Fri, Mar 26 2021Just as electric cars are becoming ever more common, the alternative propulsion system is starting to make headway in the motorcycle sphere. Companies such as Harley-Davidson and Zero already have electric models on sale, but other established brands are preparing for the electric future. Among them are the four big Japanese bike builders (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha) who have a plan to improve electric bike adoption, and make their bikes very appealing. The four companies created an organization back in April 2019 for this sort of purpose called the Swappable Battery Consortium for Electric Motorcycles. And the group has now announced that the manufacturers have agreed on the specifications for motorcycle batteries that can be interchanged among each company's motorcycles. So if you have a Suzuki, you can use a Honda battery, or vice versa. This idea presents quite a few interesting possibilities. The manufacturers could sell bikes with or without batteries, since you might already have a battery from your previous bike, or just another one you own, so you wouldn't have to shell out to buy an entirely new battery. If, for whatever reason, you needed a replacement battery, it should be easy to get one, since the same type would support bikes from a variety of manufacturers. The pipe dream of battery swapping stations might even be feasible because of the standardization and support. And having the batteries relatively easy to remove could be good for apartment dwellers, since they might be able to bring a battery inside to charge. The manufacturers haven't said exactly what the specifications are for these interchangeable batteries, nor when they'll be implemented. But we'll be eagerly awaiting more information in the future. Honda speeds down memory lane with its first F1 car
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Though most Formula One teams are based in the UK, they hail from places all around the world. There are teams from Russia, India and Malaysia, but in the 1960s, the idea of an F1 team coming from as far away as Japan was unthinkable in what was a predominantly European racing series. That's just the notion that Honda aimed to upset when it entered the car you see here in the 1964 Formula One World Championship.
With a 1.5-liter V12 dispensing 220 horsepower through a six-speed manual (its shifter necessitating the steering wheel mounted left-of-center), the 1964 Honda RA271 was built around an aluminum monocoque in a package that looks like a Formula Vee car you could erect in your garage, but it state-of-the-art when it was built. Speaking of which, Honda only built one, and today it's part of the Honda Collection Hall at Motegi, but the priceless racer made the trip down to Japan's capital so we could check it out at the Tokyo Motor Show. Awfully nice of Honda, we'd say. Check it out in our gallery of live shots from the show floor above.
Honda trademarks ZSX, could be for baby NSX
Thu, Aug 11 2016While there have been many rumors dating back to 2008 about a mid-engined sports car from Honda, last year's report was provided the most detail about what seemed to be a scaled-down version of the NSX hybrid supercar. Honda may have added some fuel to the rumor-fire by recently filing a trademark application for "ZSX," reports Australia's Performance Drive. The trademark application was sent to the European Union Intellectual Property Office late last month and is obviously close to the NSX nomenclature. The Australian outlet also reports that an unnamed source within Honda claims the ZSX, whatever it may be, could be revealed as early as next year. The anonymous employee also claims that the ZSX will be offered as a coupe and a hard-top convertible variant, with both being powered by the automaker's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from the Honda Civic Type R. Just like the NSX, the ZSX is rumored to get electric motors on the front and rear axles. Previous reports match the unnamed source's claims, as the ZSX was expected to be a replacement for the Honda S2000 that ended production in 2009. It now sounds like it'll be more of a mini-NSX, with rumors pointing towards one electric motor powering the rear wheels, while two motors would be on the front axle. Patents from last year, which are pictured above, match the rumors of a mid-engined sports car. The ZSX trademark is for Europe only as of right now, while the automaker's previous patents and trademarks included the US, as well. Only time will tell if "ZSX" really stands for a sports car, or if Honda actually goes through with its plans. Remember, Nissan ditched similar plans for a small rear-wheel-drive sports car recently.
