1992 Honda Civic Vx on 2040-cars
Auburn, Washington, United States
Vehicle Title:Clear
Year: 1992
Make: Honda
Drive Type: FWD
Model: Civic
Mileage: 139,482
Trim: VX
Up for sale is my 1992 Honda Civic VX with 139,482 original miles and a 5-speed manual transmission. This is the rare VX (fuel-efficient) model which gets about 40-45 MPG in the city and about 50-60 MPG on the freeway. It's all original, bone stock. Original engine and original transmission. Runs and drives perfect, no issues. No accidents. No rust. It has a clear title and I'm technically the 3rd owner but the car has been in my family since it was brand new, I've had it since 2011. My dad was the original owner of the car, he purchased it brand new in February, 1992. My sister was the 2nd owner and kept it for about a year (2010 to 2011). The interior is like new, no flaws. The exterior has a few small flaws as shown in the pictures. The paint is a little oxidized on the roof (exterior needs to be professionally detailed to remove oxidation). The rest of the car is pretty flawless, inside and out. Timing belt was changed at 110,000 miles. New brakes. I'm very firm at $5,500 and am in no rush to sell the car. Please message me if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!

Honda wins Commercial of the Decade, but not for the ad you think [w/VIDEO]
Fri, 18 Dec 2009Honda's Commercial of the Decade: "Grrr" - Click above to watch video
The mad men at Adweek recently voted for the Commercial of the Decade (Super Bowl commercials not included) and Honda took top honors over memorable ads from the last ten years by companies like Nike, Budweiser and Sony. That's not a big surprise considering Honda often puts a huge amount of effort into its on-air spots. However, the Japanese automaker didn't win for the commercial you might have expected: "Cog." Though Honda's famous commercial that breaks down a European Accord Tourer into a Rube Goldberg-esque machine was also a finalist, it was beaten by another Honda commercial called "Grrr" that's narrated by Garrison Keillor of all people. You've probably never seen it, but you can after the jump.
Volkswagen also made the list of finalists, but the particular ad chosen out of all the comical VW ads we've seen was unexpected as well. Most surprising carmaker with a commercial in the finals: Saturn. Who knew...
Next Honda Ridgeline to eschew weird visuals, go mainstream?
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Last year, Honda gave us the first furtive glance at the next-generation Ridgeline with a shadowy photo of it in profile (above), and it promised that the pickup would "come to market in less than two years." That would have put the truck on track for a 2015 debut, but the automaker hasn't said anything more officially about the new model since then.
A new report from USA Today might shed some new light on the mysterious model. It claims that the next Ridgeline has more conventional pickup styling than the original model in a bid to conquest some buyers. You can get that feeling from the sketch, which appears to showing something far more traditional than the unorthodox original Ridgeline, whose odd tapering bedsides terminated in a double-hinged tailgate.
USA Today goes on to claim that the new Ridgeline will go on sale around late 2015 or early 2016. That's a bit later than expected, but fits with an earlier rumor.
2014 Honda Accord V6 Touring
Mon, 03 Mar 2014America's midsize sedan segment is one of the most crowded and fiercely competitive in the business. The Toyota Camry has long been our nation's best seller, while the Honda Accord has dutifully come in second place, like some sort of codependent Cal Naughton Jr. riding Ricky Bobby's back bumper.
There was that one year, 2001, when the Accord briefly broke the Camry's streak, marring what would today have been a 17-year-long run of best-selling car titles. The Accord pulled the opposite move in 2011, letting sales slip far enough to let not only the Toyota by, but the Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion, as well. Aside from those anomalies, the Camry and Accord have been first and second in this segment since before many of you readers could even drive.
It's 2014, and these frenemies have never before faced a threat to their world order as strong as today's class of family sedans. The aforementioned Altima and Fusion are perhaps the most capable challengers, but the Chevrolet Malibu, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Volkswagen Passat and Mazda6 are all capable of convincing new buyers to walk their way.
