This is one of the very nicest CRX we have ever come across. It looks like it has 30k miles on it. The paint is original and shines like new. There are no major dings dents or scratches on the car. As you can see from the photos the paint still has a new car shine. It has always been garaged and never driven in winter. All rubber and glass and trim pieces are near perfect. You can search forever and not find another CRX in this condition. The interior is absolutely as new. No rips no stains no odors of any kind. It is sometimes hard to describe the difference in a good car interior and a great car interior. This interior is great. Almost flawless. It shows no wear and no smoothing out of plastic surfaces like the steering wheel or the door panels where arm wear might normally occur. Just incredible. I found this car at a honda dealership sitting in their showroom. Mechanically the car runs as new. Extremely tight with no shimmies shakes or rattles. The timing belt and water pump are new. The tires and exhaust are also new. There are no modifications whatsoever to this CRX. There are no signs of rust anywhere on the car with the exceptions of a bit of surface rust on the license plate bracket plate. Very common and easily replaced for 20 dollars or so. Honda is first Japanese carmaker to be a net-exporter from US
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Over the last decade or so, many foreign automakers have challenged the idea of what defines an "American car," but Honda took things a step further last year by exporting more cars out of the US than it imported in. Reuters is reporting that in 2013, a total of 108,705 Honda and Acura models were exported from the US with only 88,357 being shipped in. This gives Honda a net exporter status here, and makes it the first of such among the major Japanese automakers.
Honda's US imports have been dropping over the last five years while its exports have been steadily increasing. In 2008, the report indicates that Honda shipped 187,000 vehicles to the US and exported only 20,000, and even by 2012 Honda still favored imports with 136,000 imports and 74,000 exports. The article says that US-made Honda and Acura vehicles were exported to 50 countries with most ending up in Mexico, but the big news is that the Honda's US production set a record in 2013 with 1.3 million units built.
Honda shows us 'The Challenging Spirit of Honda'... in Japanese
Sun, 29 Dec 2013Just as Porsche has done with its lengthy Le Mans gear-up, Honda is is laying the table for its Formula One return more than a year before we'll actually see it on track. We've heard what it's 2015 engine will sound like, reminisced with the 1988 McLaren Honda MP4/4 and the 1964 Honda RA271 and spoken to the company's CEO about what F1 involvement could do for its production car engines.
The automaker has now released a video called The Challenging Spirit of Honda that traces the development of its in-house F1 program and the jump from motorcycles to the first RA270 F1 chassis in 1962, to the RA272 chassis that won the 1965 Grand Prix. The only catch: the video is in Japanese. However, you can read about the winning car in English, and the video ends with another sound check of the 2015 power unit. That is a universal language, and you'll find it being spoken below.
