California Car, New Clutch, New Paint, One Lady Owner Since New, Time Capsule on 2040-cars
Berkeley, California, United States
This is a very clean car. The re-paint is good quality. There is a bit of metallic sparkle in there that sets it off. The engine was replaced 50k ago. The clutch is new. The distributor is new. The brakes are new. The tires are new. The rims look new. The louvers have a broken attachment point on the lower right with a crude velcro fix. They rattle. It does 70mph no problem. It failed smog 10 years ago and sat in a garage in an affluent neighborhood ever since. I will smog it for a california buyer, which is required by law. The car is registered to me and the title has been approved and applied for. The carpet is a little dirty and needs a freshening up. The exterior of the little car turns heads. The outside is very presentable. It looks new.
I am clearing house on my cars as my wife has promised me a new one if I stop futzing with my collectibles. This one should make you happy if its a clean, un-abused CRX you have been seeking. No paypal, no refunds of any type, "as is" deal. Pre inspections welcomed and encouraged, shipping yes, & please resist the urge to lowball, its not necessary. The first good guy I can work with gets my solid 1 lady owner CRX. Harris. |

Honda Urban SUV Concept leaks out ahead of Detroit debut
Sun, 13 Jan 2013Next up on the 2013 Detroit Auto Show embargo-break-a-palooza: the Honda Urban SUV Concept. Thanks to Indian Autos Blog, we now have the first press shots of the small crossover concept - a vehicle that will someday make it to production, riding on the Honda Fit platform.
It may have some big features - namely, the large headlamps, big wheels, and bold body lines - but the Urban SUV Concept will compete with smaller vehicles like the Nissan Juke or Fiat 500L. Indian Autos Blog reports that both 1.6- an 1.8-liter four-cylinder engines are being speculated for use in the production model, as well as a diesel powerplant for foreign markets.
That's all we know for now, but stay tuned to see the full smattering of official images and details as part of this week's Detroit coverage.
Is Honda working on airbags for smartphones?
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Smartphones are expensive yet delicate - a single impact on a hard surface can shatter their touchscreens, often damaging them beyond repair. Fitting a case offers only so much protection, but what about an airbag? Honda has explored the concept with the airbag-equipped Case N and even made a video about it. But alas, it isn't real.
For some reason, we really want it to be. Honda has a knack for surprising us with nearly unbelievable inventions designed to improve mankind's quality of life, contraptions like the Walking Assist Device and the UNI-CUB personal mobility devices, so the Case N isn't as far-fetched an idea for the company as you might think.
Head below to watch the video, where you can see the Case N concept in action. You'll also see its generous proportions, which is one reason why it's just a case of Honda humor - not (yet) a market reality.
How Seinfeld hopes he'll help industry make better car commercials [w/video]
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Bloomberg has a fascinating look into a web series that continues to be a favorite around the Autoblog offices - Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. The series, which is in its second season, sees the affable comedian picking up fellow comedians in a range of interesting cars, and having conversations with them over the drive and a cup of joe.
The piece by Bloomberg dives into the development of the series, as well as Seinfeld's tie-up with Acura, which saw the Honda-owned brand begin sponsorship this season. That relationship started not with his web series, though, but with a Super Bowl ad, alongside fellow funnyman and car enthusiast Jay Leno, that saw them competing over a new Acura NSX. Have a click over to Bloomberg for an entertaining piece that looks beyond the YouTube series. We've also wrangled Seinfeld's original Super Bowl ad for the Acura NSX, which you can see below.
