1998 Honda crv 4x4. 5 speed transmision. Body has 192xxx miles on it but the engine is brand new. Put a b20 vtec in it earlier this year. As well as the following: - b20 with bottom end built with aftermarket rods and rings - stage 2 competition clutch - New timing pump and water pump - hasport motor mounts - brand new paint job done last year - New NGK plugs and wired done 5-31-14 All work was done by TCS automotive in greensboro. Have all the reciepts to show it. It is in great shape inside and out very clean and alot of fun to drive. it does however have a salvage title last year somebody hit bumper while texting ( going less than 10mph) dameged the bumper, spear tire and exhaust tip damage was minimal but due to the year and milage it put it over the threshold was all cosmetic and less than $800. Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency
Sun, 25 May 2014Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.
Honda, Acura recall Ridgeline, Accord, MDX, TLX for various fuel pump issues
Fri, Feb 15 2019Honda and Acura have issued two separate fuel pump-related recalls for Ridgeline pickups, as well as Accord and TLX sedans, and MDX SUVs. Affected Ridgelines could have an increased risk of fire, while the Accord, TLX, and MDX could potentially stall out while driving. According to NHTSA campaign No. 19V053000, Honda is recalling 106,683 2017-2019 Ridgelines because the fuel pump feed port could crack when exposed to certain acids, including car wash soaps. If it cracks, it could leak pressurized fuel, which could catch fire. Vehicles with this defect are subject to a free fuel pump replacement, as well as an extra fuel pump cover. The second recall, campaign No. 19V060000, affects 437,032 2016-2018 MDX, 2015-2019 TLX, and 2015-2017 Accord models equipped with 3.5-liter V6 engines. According to Honda, fuel particulates could stick to internal components of the fuel pump. This could potentially slow down the fuel pump and hinder performance, which could cause the engine to sputter and stall. Honda dealers will update the fuel injection engine control unit software and/or replace the fuel pump, if needed.
