My daughter drove this car during her four years in college. It is drivable and an ideal option for high school age students needing that "first car."
I am going to list the things that I know are wrong with it here, but I believe that it is dependable, especially for a car with 313k plus miles.

1. Cosmetically, on the exterior, there is a relatively medium size dent on the passenger side of the car. Also, the paint is what you might expect from an older car and there are various little scrapes.
2. The power window system is operable, but the driver side window does not go down and the passenger window can only be operated by the switch on the passenger side, and not by the multi-switch on the driver side.
3. The glove compartment does not close all the way.
4. The car needs new speakers. Music can be played, but only to a certain volume. The speaker is blown, so high volumes and large bumps in the road cause it to make loud spurts of static.
5. The air condition is working, but every now and then, it seems to sputter a bit...especially, when it's extremely hot outside.

The car does have brand new headlights and windshield wipers. The car gets regular oil changes (at least every 3-4 months). The alternator and timing belt have been replaced within a year's time. I have receipts that reflect this.

The car has a clear title.
The buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle.
Payment can be made in cash or via Paypal (buyer is responsible for fees).

Again, this is a good car. I would not have my daughter driving in a vehicle that is not dependable.  We are selling the car because I purchased a new car for her after she graduated from college (a few days ago).

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Toyota raises Japanese base wages for first time since 2008

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

Toyota is on track for record profits, and in return, its Japanese workers are receiving their first increase in base wages since 2008, plus higher pay based on seniority and a larger bonus for 2014. The Japanese automaker predicts the average laborer will net a 2.9 percent income gain.
The average Toyota employee will earn 2,700 yen ($26.28) more each month, a 0.8 percent increase from last year. Workers will also receive about 7,300 yen ($71.09) more monthly based on seniority and promotions. Finally, the company's union pushed through a median bonus of 2.44 million yen ($23,768) for 2014, the highest in 6 years.
The pay boost comes as Toyota forecasts a record 1.9-trillion yen ($18.5 billion) profit for the fiscal year ending on March 31, according to Bloomberg. It has been helped by the Japanese government's efforts to weaken the yen on international markets and expand inflation. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been asking businesses to increase compensation to end years of deflation and offset upcoming higher sales taxes. Honda and Nissan have also raised their wages there in recent months.

Acura NSX prototype gets back on track

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

Developing a new vehicle is not without its complications, we're sure, but usually things follow a fairly predictable progression: you develop a prototype, you test it, test it and test it again, then you put it into production. What you don't expect is that your prototype will burn to the ground, but that's what famously happened to the NSX which Honda engineers were testing a few months ago.
Fortunately, the Acura NSX prototype is back on track, both literally and figuratively, as you can see from this latest batch of spy shots snapped at the Nürburgring. This camouflaged prototype looks pretty much the same as the last one, only, you know... less crispy. Which is to say, it looks pretty much ready to hit showrooms.
The naysayers may point out that Honda chose colder and damper weather to put the NSX back into testing - thereby mitigating the risk of another fire - but we're sure the Japanese automaker has been working hard to fix the flammability issues, whatever may have caused them, over the past few months. At least, we hope they have.

Honda recalls nearly 350k Odyssey minivans over unintended braking

Sun, 03 Nov 2013

A problem reported with the Vehicle Safety Assist System has prompted Honda and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall for Odyssey minivans from the 2007 and 2008 model years.
The issue revolves around a combination of parts and software that have been reported to cause the vehicle to brake hard and unexpectedly, without illuminating the brake lights. Imagine driving behind one of these vehicles when the malfunction occurs and you can easily understand how an unexpected rear-end collision could ensue.
Unfortunately, Honda won't be able to fix the problem until next spring, at which point the manufacturer will call in the 344,187 units affected into their local dealership for a fix. In the meantime, Honda will instruct owners on how to avoid the situation. For further details, see the full recall notice below.
