Honda already working on NSX roadster

Honda doesn't do many convertibles. There was the original Sports 360, the Civic del Sol, the S2000 and the Beat. But so far, that's pretty much it. The previous NSX was offered with a targa-style top, but the latest reports indicate that the Japanese automaker is already working on a proper convertible version of the new NSX, to be sold once again as an Acura in North America and a Honda in other markets.
Although it's not yet known whether the NSX roadster will offer a hard or soft top, sources indicate that it won't be a mere removable roof panel. Whatever form it does take, however, expect it to arrive a good couple of years after the tin-top version launches in 2015 with a similar form to the concept but with different underpinnings and a radical interior.

The 2018 Honda Accord will have the Civic's sexy roofline

The current ninth generation Honda Accord started production in 2012, and although the midsize sedan got a facelift in 2016, it's time to start looking ahead to the tenth generation. Honda is fresh off the successful launch of the latest Civic, so expect a strong follow up to what is already one of the best sedans on the market. Our spy photographer caught the latest heavily-camouflaged model out testing. As with so many test vehicles, this latest Honda Accord is heavily covered with camouflage. The overall shape is very Civic-like, with a fastback roofline and short trunk lid. The headlights appear to be wide, narrow, and similar to the current design, but again it's difficult to make out any specific details. Our photographer also managed to get a couple pictures of the interior, but those don't reveal much other than a number of buttons, which is an improvement over Honda's current infotainment system. It's difficult to see if the two-screen setup remains. Other than that, these photos don't reveal much. We can only speculate on things like interior improvements or engine and options, but turbocharging and CVTs are almost assuredly on the table. The future of the V6 seems especially uncertain as much of the Accord's competition has moved to four-cylinder only power. Look for a full reveal the 2018 Honda Accord sometime next year. New death linked to Takata airbag crisis, Honda recalls 170k vehicles overseas

The safety crisis surrounding Takata's exploding airbags continues to expand. In the latest revelation, Honda confirms another death linked to the faulty parts, and the company is expanding its recall of the components. However, none of the newly added vehicles are in the United States.
With the confirmation of this report, there are now five deaths linked to the faulty airbags. According to The New York Times, a pregnant woman in Malaysia was killed on July 27 in a 2003 Honda City when she crashed into another vehicle, and the inflator ruptured. This was the first announced case outside of the US.
The faulty part in the woman's car was reportedly made at a now-closed Takata factory in Georgia, according to the NYT, and it's the first known example from that location. In response, Honda recalled about 170,000 vehicles in Europe and Asia to replace the potentially bad inflators. The latest campaign brings the total number of recalled vehicles worldwide to around 14.3 million units.
