2005 Honda Accord Hybrid Sedan 4-door 3.0l. Very Clean And Reliable on 2040-cars
Lynchburg, Virginia, United States
For sale is a 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid that runs and drives very good. I've been driving this car 150miles one-way back and forward every other weekend for the last two years. I've never been stranded. This is a great car for any person who wants a hybrid to save on gas with V6 power and plenty of room.. The 3.0L six cylinder electric/gas engine purrs along without a miss, smoke or fluid loss. The hybrid system is working perfectly. It charges and assists as necessary and the auto stop engages when stopped. No "check engine" or IMA warning lights. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The brakes, steering and suspension are in good condition. No exhaust leaks. The exterior is a glossy gray. It has a few scratches and the three small dents mentioned above but nothing major. No body rust. The windshield and door glasses are crack free. There is a quarter inch hole in mirror cover of the passenger side. (see pic). The lights and lenses are clear and crack free. The tires are new. The factory alloy wheels are in great condition. (see pic). The interior is gray carpet and leather seats. The front seats are heated. All seats and the carpet are in excellent condition(see pic). Vehicle had just been detailed cleaned. (see pic). All the power options such as cruise control, windows, side mirrors, etc. work as designed. There are steering wheel controls for cruise and audio. There is a factory sound system with a six CD changer. The climate control (heat and AC) are working perfectly. This is a great Accord Hybrid that is just as fuel efficient as the newer high priced models and seems to have a lot more years and miles left. The new owner should be able to drive anywhere with confidence. SOLD AS IS |

Honda adopts English as its official language in meetings worldwide
Mon, 25 Nov 2013Japanese was clearly the language of operation while we visited Honda's global headquarters in Tokyo last week, as well as its newest factory and principal test track. Chief executive Takanobu Ito (pictured above) spoke to us through an interpreter. But according to the latest reports, the Japanese language is being phased out at Honda in favor of English.
This according to Bloomberg, which points out that tire manufacturer Bridgestone and rival automaker Nissan have implemented similar measures, as have Japanese retail giants Fast Retailing Co. and Rakuten Inc. Honda's shift from Japanese to English comes as part of a shift in focus from central decision-making to a more regional model, but while English has clearly emerged as the international language of business, it's no coincidence that it's also the dominant language here in America. Bloomberg points out that over the 12-month period that ended this past March, North America accounted for a massive 47 percent of Honda's revenues worldwide.

Honda demonstrates driverless valet parking system with special Fit EVs
Sat, 26 Oct 2013There are many challenges that will need to be sorted out before full autonomous driving becomes a reality, but automakers are taking small steps toward this advancement with semi-autonomous technologies. Nissan, Toyota and Ford have already revealed various automated driving systems, and now Honda is getting into the game with an automatic valet parking system that was unveiled recently at the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) World Congress in Tokyo.
Unlike Ford's recently demonstrated self-parking Focus, which is fully operational on its own, Honda's new system requires input from the parking lot via cameras. Combining information provided by the car's rearview camera as well as cameras positioned around the parking lot, drivers are able to drop their car off at a central location, and using a touchscreen display, the car can park itself and return when the driver is ready to leave. The benefit of this is that multiple cars can be parked at the same time and no additional sensors (other than a backup camera) are needed for the car, but the downside is that it can only operate on properly equipped parking lots. According to Honda's demonstration, this system can be practical by 2020.
Honda also showed off some semi-autonomous driving and non-contact electric vehicle recharging technologies at the ITS World Congress, although information is limited and there are no demonstrations available. Scroll down to read more about Honda's latest tech, including a video demonstration of the automatic valet parking system.
