It is Black Exterior with Tan Leather Interior and Wood Grain Style Interior Trim. It is powered by a 2.4L 16-Valve i-VTEC 4 Cylinder Engine with Automatic Transmission. It has 133,181 miles, but will have slightly more because she still drives the car. It has NEVER been in an accident. The Interior is Loaded with All Power Options, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Sun Roof and Power Drivers Seat. It has Adjustable Ice Cold A/C, Great Heater and Front and Rear Defroster. It has Heated Front Bucket Seats with Center Console, AM-FM Stereo with 6 Disc CD Changer, Sirus Satellite Capability, Cruise Control, Tilt Wheel, Security Alarm, Dual Air Bags, 4 Matching Floor Mats, Comfortable Rear Seats with Fold Down Center Console and Cup Holder, Large Trunk with Pass Thru Rear Seat. It is Pennsylvania Inspected until October, 2015, we are the 3rd Owner. The car is Mechanically Sound. We live in the mountain and basically don't do any city driving so I can't tell you what the gas mileage is for city driving, but for the driving she does do the car Averages 32 Miles Per Gallon. It had a Complete Tune-Up on 12/27/2013 at 127,000 miles. I just had the Transmission Drained and Flushed and replaced with Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid, only because it was probably never changed before. EVERY 3,000 miles the car gets Oil & Filter Change, Lubed, Tires Rotated and Pressure Checked and Hoses and Belts Checked. We bought the car in July, 2010, with 97,990 Miles. My wife works at home which keeps the mileage down and has averaged just 8900 miles a year since we own it. This car is Garage Kept, it is Washed and Kept Clean and Driven Sensibly! It is in Very Good Condition and Runs 100%. There are NO Dents in the body, NO Rust, the Black Paint still Shines Very Nicely, there has been NO paint work done to this vehicle! There are swirls in the Clear Coat from washing and drying over the years, maybe at the most a handful of scratches. The Interior is Clean, my wife is a Non-Smoker, NO Stains, NO Burn Holes, NO Smells. The last photo posted shows the Leather on the Edge of the Drivers Seat is showing wear due from getting in and out of the vehicle, and was actually like that when we bought it and has not gotten worse. This car has not been abused, we DO NOT drive 70 to 100 miles an hour, it has been Very Well Maintained! I have gone to the same Certified Toyota Mechanic for 29 years and he can attest to how I maintain our vehicles. If anything needs attention it is taken care of promptly! If you want my mechanics verification on how I maintain our vehicles, email me for his name and phone number. This car is not perfect but it is still a Very Nice Looking car in Very Nice Condition! It is Very Suitable for a Family Car, Mom, Dad, College Student, etc., etc. I have tried to describe it the best I could, there is nothing wrong with this car that I am aware of, I have posted 21 photo's for you to see exactly what you are buying, My asking price IS NOT more then the Kelly Blue Book price on this car in Very Good Condition! I don't think you will be disappointed. Those are rain drops you see on the exterior photo's of the car. Inside Honda's ghost town for testing autonomous cars
Thu, Jun 2 2016On the edge of the San Francisco suburb of Concord, California sits a ghost town. Dilapidated buildings and cracked roads are framed by overgrowth and slightly askew street signs. The decommissioned five acre portion of the Concord Naval Weapons Station that once housed military personnel and their families is now home to squirrels, jack rabbits, wild turkeys and Honda's mysterious testing lab for autonomous vehicles. This former town within a Naval base – now dubbed "GoMentum Station" – is the perfect testing ground for Honda's self-driving cars. An almost turn-key solution to the problem of finding somewhere to experiment with autonomous vehicle inside an urban area. Thanks to the GoMentum Station, the automaker has access to 20 miles of various road types, intersections and infrastructure exactly like those found in the real world. Just, you know, without all the people getting in the way. While the faded lane markers and cracked asphalt might initially make it difficult for the car to figure out what's going on around it, that's exactly what you want when training a self-driving system. Many roads in the real world are also in dire need of upkeep. Just because autonomous vehicles are hitting the streets doesn't mean the funding needed to fix all the potholes and faded lane markers will magically appear. The real world doesn't work that way and the robot cars that will eventually make our commutes less of a headache will need to be aware of that. Plus, it's tougher to train a car to drive downtown than to barrel down the highway at 80 miles per hour. A company is going to want to get as much practice as possible. While semi-autonomous driving on the everyone-going-the-same-way-at-a-constant-speed freeway is already a reality, navigating in an urban environment is far more complex. If you've driven on the streets of Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago or Seattle you know that driving downtown takes far more concentration than cruising down the interstate. With all that in mind, Honda's tricked out Acura RLX did a good job during an (admittedly very controlled) hands-free demo. It didn't hit either of the pedestrians walking across its path. It stopped at stop signs and even maneuvered around a mannequin situated in the middle of the road. The reality is, watching a car drive around the block and safely avoid stuff is boring. Not to metion, Google has been doing this for a while in the real world.
Acura NSX production delayed
Fri, Aug 14 2015Listeners of the Autoblog Podcast will be familiar with my opinions on the Acura NSX. While I love the idea of Acura building a halo car again, I've routinely joked on-air that the car will never, ever reach production and will continue being teased and previewed ad nauseam. So I'm chuckling at this news: the NSX is being delayed again. To be fair, while it sounds like a big deal – pushing the NSX back from model year 2016 to 2017 – this is a fairly minor delay in the grand scheme. Instead of starting production this fall, as previously announced, the new supercar will start rolling down the line at Honda's Marysville, OH factory in the spring. "Trial production" has already started, Honda says, while briefly acknowledging the delay in the attached press release. While Honda offered no reason for the delay in volume production, Automobile claims it's the fault of the move to fit two turbochargers to the V6, which was made midway through development. Fitting the two iron lungs meant rearranging the six-pot into a longitudinal layout. Here's hoping there are no further delays. Scroll on for a look at Honda's press release, which does its best to gloss over the NSX delay while talking about the company's new Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville. The next-generation Acura NSX is produced at the new, dedicated Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Marysville, Ohio, using domestic and globally sourced parts. With trial production already underway and production start-up scheduled for spring 2016, this world-class manufacturing facility employs groundbreaking techniques in weld, body construction, body painting, final assembly and quality confirmation to ensure the highest levels of precision and craftsmanship. More details on the unique and innovative manufacturing processes at the PMC will be rolled out over the months leading up to the start of production, but the following highlights of the new facility were shared during the 2015 Monterey Automotive Week: Innovative blend of people and technology: throughout the PMC, NSX production is centered around the skills of approximately 100 experienced engineers and technicians building the NSX to precise levels of quality and craftsmanship.
Acura NSX GT3 non-hybrid racecar on sale soon
Thu, Jul 27 2017Just over a year ago, Acura debuted the NSX GT3, the FIA GT3-spec racecar based on the automaker's latest and greatest. While it took years for the road car to hit the streets, the NSX GT3 was developed in a relatively short amount of time. This year, the car competed in several races under the factory banner, racking up 50,000 miles and two race victories. Today, Honda and Acura announced the NSX GT3 will go on sale for private teams. Think of the NSX GT3 as a stripped out version of the standard NSX sans hybrid system. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo remains, but, since there are no electric motors up front, all the power is sent to the rear wheels through a XTRAC semi-automatic 6-speed sequential transmission. The chassis is built in Ohio right alongside the regular NSX. The same goes for the engines. The block, heads, valve train, crankshaft, pistons, and dry-sump lubrication system are the same specification as the production car. Final assembly is completed in Italy. This past year, the NSX GT3 competed under the Acura banner in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD class and the Pirelli World Challenge GT category. In addition to those series, the car is built to compete in the Blancpain GT Series and 24 Hours Nurburgring in Europe, the Super GT GT300 class in Japan, as well as other GT3-spec race series. Different divisions of Honda will be handling global sales, with HPD responsible for the North American market. US pricing hasn't been announced, but converting the European models start at about $545,000. Now we just want to see a lightened, non-hybrid version of the NSX on the street.
