1998 White Honda Accord Lx 5-speed on 2040-cars
Raleigh, North Carolina, United States
The Bad: -Piece missing from driver side skirt -Paint stain on passenger seat (1" wide) The Good: -AC/Heat -Power Windows -No CEL -New Headers -Lowered -CAI This car has been well maintained, and has had the timing belt and water pump replaced about 10,000 miles ago. Paint is in good condition with the exception of a few touch up spots here and there. The engine runs smooth, as if it had 90,000 miles. The transmission and clutch shift seamlessly. Tires have about 80% tread left. I just lowered it 2 inches last month and put brand new shocks on it as well so the ride is very smooth. AC blows cold, heat works well. Cold Air Intake. Brand new headers and flex pipe installed within the past 500 miles. I also will throw in precut window tint 35% that I ordered and haven't put on either. No check engine light. Catalytic converter was replaced in December. I installed JDM Black Headlights and placed 5000K HID's inside along with Yellow Highs 17" Lenso 4 Lugs Wheels. Minor curb rash some flaking paint. Staggered tires. 215-45-17 in the back 215-40-17 in the front. This is an excellent and reliable car. Very good condition for it's age. |

Honda speeds towards its dreams with new Civic Type R Concept [w/videos]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014A war is coming. It's been brewing for some time between the top-performing hot hatches, and will be determined by the ultimate bragging rights: the lap record at the Nürburgring for front-drive cars. Renault claimed it and reclaimed it again with successive versions of the Megane RS, then Seat took it by some margin with the new Leon Cupra. But this could take it from both.
It's the new Honda Civic Type R - or at least a conceptual preview of the one to follow. We drove an early prototype of the forthcoming Japanese hot hatch while in town for the Tokyo Motor Show a few months ago, where Honda made no secret of its Eiffel-bound aspirations. Now it has taken a big step closer with the concept you see here.
Previewing the extreme styling that will set the next Type R apart from ordinary Civics (or the European-spec hatchback on which it's based), the concept has a giant rear spoiler, enlarged grilles, hood vents and widened fenders packing both 20-inch alloys and additional air vents.
Scion FR-S pitted against oldtimers RX-8 and S2000
Tue, 07 May 2013There are very few vehicles available today that compare directly with the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ twins. A case could be made for the Mazda MX-5 Miata, and possibly even six-cylinder versions of American coupes like the Ford Mustang. Pretty much everything else is either too expensive or is powered by the wrong set of wheels.
The boys from EverydayDriver on YouTube decided the only fair way to judge the inherent qualities of the Toyobaru twins was to pit them against two standard-bearers of years past: The Honda S2000 and Mazda RX-8. Neither of these cars is an exact matchup, with the Honda boasting a convertible top and the RX-8 offering more practicality via a rear seat and two reverse-opening doors for easier access. What they do offer, however, are similar performance stats and proven reputations for excellent handling.
None of this talk answers the real question, though: Which one wins the comparison test? Scroll down to watch the video, and be prepared for something of a surprise conclusion.
McLaren collaborating with Honda future road cars?
Fri, 02 Aug 2013McLaren and Honda may expand their alliance beyond the world of Formula 1, according a report from the UK's Autocar, which quotes McLaren CEO Martin Whitmarsh.
Citing the multi-year deal, Whitmarsh remarked at last weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, "It's a pure Formula 1 contract, but we've already been looking at automotive technology and we're sharing that very openly. Our road car strategy at the moment has no other automotive partner and Honda would be a good place to collaborate."
Still, we wouldn't count on seeing a McLaren-Honda road car in the near future. According to Autocar, McLaren's road-car division is already tied up working on a rival for the Porsche 911, called the P13.
