1993 Honda Accord Wagon Ex on 2040-cars
Matthews, North Carolina, United States
Up for auction is a 1993 Honda Accord EX Station Wagon, with 245600 miles. Car runs great, no rust, some dents and scratches, normal for a 21 year old car. One thing is the driver's side door. It had to be replaced. I had the door lock actuator locked door could not be open. After that, the window motor stopped working. So, door had to go... this door was purchased from a Junkyard and damaged and all. it was the best match for this car. the other thing this car needs to have done is the front brakes -replace rotors and pads. I have the rotors and pads. I just never had the chance to work on them, I just don't have the time to work on it anymore. However, the car had the below work done: Timing belt -done @ 210000 miles radiator -upper and lower hoses changed, thermostat front axles rear brakes -both had new rotors and pads installed new spark plugs and cables. ignition coil replaced about 1 year ago 4 new tires installed -by the end of December 2013 On a personal note, I have owned this car for 5 years and I hate to part company with it. My wife and I have 3 cars now and one has to go....and so...that's why I'm selling it. Plus, I have two jobs and I simply don't have the time to work on this car. Plus, the HOA of my place does not allow more than two cars, so the parking is becoming an issue for me. those of you who know Hondas, don't need me to explain what kind of cars are....take care of them, they'll last forever..... so, good bidding and good luck, Any questions, please contact me: email: renatomaracri@yahoo.com or you can call me 704-776-0292 Just so I'm clear... Car is sold AS IS, with no warranties -implied or otherwise. You buy it AS IS. Buyer is responsible for picking up/shipping. those with 0 (zero) feedback, please contact me first. I will cancel bids with 0 feedback if I'm not contacted. those who "coordinate" with global transportation companies....don't even think about it. I'm not selling to overseas buyers. Successful bidder will leave a deposit of $200.00 through PayPal and the rest, paid in cash 7 days after the bidding is finished. No personal checks. Willing to listen to decent offers. Just let me know, since I'm trying to sell it locally. Car is located in Matthews, NC. thank you for your interest and good luck! |

Honda confirms 2014 Odyssey and Acura MDX for New York
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Look beneath the seats of a Honda Odyssey and you'll likely find a handful of that iconic loop cereal loved by toddlers nationwide. And to show that Honda understands its minivan's target market, it is using the breakfast staple to announce its plans to reveal the updated 2014 model at next week's New York Auto Show. While the announcement is creative, it unfortunately lacks much in the way of information, leaving us with little more than a vague teaser alluding to "some innovative new features."
As expected, Honda has also confirmed we will see the production version of the 2014 Acura MDX in New York. We expect the 2014 MDX to look very much like the prototype we saw in January at the Detroit Auto Show with only slight differences. The 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 will be offered with all-wheel drive or, in a first for MDX, front-wheel drive.
You'll find the official press snippets for both below, and we'll have live images and details on both from the New York show. Until then... Cheerio!
Average transaction prices climb to a record $36,270 in January
Sat, Feb 3 2018The automotive sector made a hash of the numbers last month, a mess of pluses and minuses clogging the transaction-price charts according to Kelley Blue Book. The overall industry rose one percent, even though buyers bought fewer cars and light vehicles in January 2018 vs 2017 using the selling-day adjusted rate. Due to January transaction prices rising to $36,270, a record for January, the value of new vehicles sold climbed more than $1 billion compared to January 2017. KBB's transaction prices don't include customer incentives, which changes the complexion slightly; average incentive spending rose to just over ten percent. The average transaction price in December 2017 was $36,756, so January dropped a bit - nothing unexpected, with the month annually blamed for "January doldrums." More revealing is the fact that the average transaction price in January 2017 was $34,910. This year's plumped-up figure came courtesy of the continued shift to crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks, which shouldn't surprise anyone who's read an automotive blog in the past 20 years. That category comprised nearly 70 percent of new vehicle sales for the month. Some manufacturers profited more than others, though. Fiat Chrysler managed 12.8 percent fewer sales in January compared year-on-year, but the company's vehicles sold for $1,300 more. The Ford brand suffered a 6.3-percent dip in sales, but brand transaction prices increased $2,000, while a Lincoln sold for $8,700 more on average. General Motors sold more cars and sold them for more money; overall GM transaction prices rose four percent, or $1,270, while a GMC traded hands for seven-percent more than in January 2017 and a Cadillac got $2,300 more on average. Of KBB's listed automakers, the Volkswagen Group got the most of out its customers, transaction prices rising at the German automaker by 5.6 percent to $42,243 in January 2018 compared to a year earlier. American Honda followed with a 4.3-percent increase to $28,991, GM in third at 4.1 percent to $40,313. Find your next car at Autoblog using our new and used car listings or the Car Finder tool. Broken out by segment, minivans rocked the table, transaction prices leaping by 7.9 percent to $35,380 compared to January a year earlier. Luxury cars boasted the next-highest rise, at 3.6 percent to $58,533.
Honda Gear concept explored at Montreal Auto Show
Fri, 18 Jan 2013Our friends at Autoblog Canada have just come away with a closer look at Honda's surprise Gear Concept at the Montreal Auto Show. The little three-door hatchback is arguably the automaker's first real shot at the North American city car market (the Gear is much smaller than the Fit) and may be an indication that Honda is getting serious about going after Scion on this side of the world after the CR-Z hybrid failed to deliver. Honda says the Gear Concept takes its inspiration from the fixed-gear bicycle scene, and should allow buyers an unprecedented level of customization. Designers also wanted to show that a car can be both fun and practical.
We're all for a compact stylish three door with functional room inside, but given Honda's propensity for draining the personality from its concepts on the way to production (at least the ones that don't look showroom ready), we don't hold much hope for the Gear. You can check out the full press release below for more information.
