Ladies & Gentlemen, Here it is, the notoriously faithful and reliable 1991 Honda Accord LX. This amazing little Honda Accord is being sold with no reserve. That's right, I said it. NO RESERVE. Now let's get down to business. CONDITION: The Good: All around solid vehicle. Engine Strong, Transmission shift's smoothly, Clutch feels accurate. Evidence of a recent tune-up (old spark plugs were left in the trunk of vehicle). No check engine lights. Interior in decent condition (no rips or tears in seats). Nice full set of Michelin tires with about 90% of thread and clean hub caps. The Not So Good: Vehicle needs new radiator (there's a 2 inch crack in the very top of the radiator. see pictures). When driving, the radiator functions fine but once vehicle come to idle, fluid seeps out. Steering is out of alignment (vehicle possibly needs some front end work). Exterior: Vehicle has a few nicks & dings. Most notable are a few small rust spots around the fenders (see pictures). Also, there is what appears to be a bullet hole on the rear passenger door (if it is a bullet hole, it did not penetrate the interior). Vehicle needs a corner light on passenger side. Inside driver side door handle is broken but can still easily open from inside. IN CONCLUSION: This is a very solid running vehicle that needs minimal work at best. With a new radiator and possibly some front end work, I would trust driving this vehicle anywhere. If you have any questions please feel free to send me an email. I will answer your questions as best I can. NOTE: Vehicle is being sold in AS IS condition! No returns, warranties or refunds expressed or implied! Vehicle is for sale locally. Seller reserves the right to end auction at anytime. Winning bidder is required to make a non-refundable deposit of $300 through PAYPAL within 48hours of auction end. Balance to be paid in full and vehicle picked up within 5 business days of auction end. WE DO NOT OFFER TEMP TAGS! WE DO NOT OFFER SHIPPING SERVICES, BUT FEEL FREE TO CHECK WITH ONE OF EBAY SUGGESTED SHIPPING PARTNERS FOR A QUOTE. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! |

Cafe racer motorbikes storm Japan
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Japan may be best known, at least among motorcycle enthusiasts, for its sport bikes. But as we found at the Tokyo Motor Show this year, Japanese motorcycle manufacturers are capable of producing all kinds of motorbikes. And to our delight, that includes cafe racers.
Along with the myriad electric bikes, dirt bikes, crotch rockets and scooters, the halls of Tokyo's Big Site convention center this year were full of the retro-infused rides we love. Chief among them was the Bolt (shown above) which Yamaha exhibited alongside their various electric two-wheelers, sporting a delicious metallic blue paintjob, inverted handlebars and hanging mirrors, machined metal bits, blacked-out trim and saddle brown leatherwork.
Honda was also on hand with a new EX version of its '70s-style CB1100 retro roadster in sinister and low-key matte black. And this was our first chance to check out BMW Motorrad's new birthday present to its 90-year-old self, the R NineT, a model recently unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. But one of the most amusing retro rides we came across was the Honda Monkey Limited, a mini bike that makes the new 125cc Grom (which was displayed alongside it) look positively gigantic.
Who can really claim first mass-produced fuel cell vehicle delivery in US?
Thu, Jun 19 2014Last month, Hyundai said that the initial deliveries of the Tucson Fuel Cell vehicles in California meant that, "For the first time, retail consumers can now put a mass-produced, federally-certified hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in their driveways." But try telling that to Jon Spallino. In 2005, Honda leased a hydrogen fuel cell FCX, a small hatchback, to the Spallino family (as far as we know, he parked it in his driveway). The company did the same thing again in 2008 with the FCX Clarity, a sleek new design based on the FCX Concept, and others signed for the H2 ride as well, including celebrities. No matter how you slice it, Honda has been in the fuel cell delivery market for almost a decade now. Just look at this. Or this. Or this. Oh, and other automakers (General Motors in Project Driveway in 2006 and Mercdes-Benz with the F-Cell in 2010, for example) have delivered fuel cell vehicles in the US as part of short-term test programs. But let's get back to Hyundai's claim. There's little question that the first delivery of a "fuel cell vehicle for the US market" has already taken place (and they were federally certified, too), which means that the debate revolves around the definition of mass-produced and whether "mass production" is about a number or about the process? Let's investigate below. First, lets review Honda's bona fides. We can start with the official version of Honda's fuel cell history, which is missing the pertinent detail that Honda build the Clarity on a dedicated assembly line and established a small network of three dealerships to lease the FCX Clarity in 2008. All of the FCX Clarity vehicles in customer hands in the US were leased through these dealerships. Sure, Honda started with hand-built stacks in its hydrogen vehicles, but went to automated control of some parts and components with series production. "It is good to see others doing today what we've been doing since 2008" – Steve Ellis, Honda Or, as Honda's Steve Elllis put it to AutoblogGreen regarding Hyundai's fuel cell deliveries: "This was exactly as prescribed by the creation of the California Fuel Cell Partnership. It's the very essence of 'co-op-itition.' We at Honda, as do many others, continue to push forward on many technologies, both the battery and the fuel cell. And society is the beneficiary." Then he added, "It is good to see others doing today what we've been doing since 2008." Now, how does Hyundai compare?
This is what Honda's new F1 engine will sound like
Fri, 18 Oct 2013It appears that not even the legendary pairing of McLaren and Honda can produce a 2015-regulation Formula One engine that sounds as good as the current V8s. Much like Mercedes-AMG Petronas, McLaren Honda have released a clip of their turbocharged, 1.6-liter V6 ahead of next season, and well, at least to our ears, it's not the sweetest of singers.
We've reported on concerns that the new engines wouldn't sound "right," after years of the high-revving V8s and V10s. The more we're hearing of these new engines, the more reasonable those worries seem. That said, we'll need to wait until we really hear these cars driven in anger to render a final verdict.
Scroll down to view the official press release from Honda and to hear what the future McLaren Honda will sound like when it hits the grid in 2015. For comparison, we've also included some on-board footage of Jenson Button's McLaren's V8 from last season.
