Nice Truck For Cheap on 2040-cars
Englishtown, New Jersey, United States
This is my 1996 gmc yukon thats been in the family since new. It has 225000 miles on a rebuilt motor done about 10 years ago. Runs very well. In the last two years ive replaced several parts. Here is the list: spider injector, map sensor,cap,rotor,plugs,(4) O2 sensors, radiator, hoses,ac compressor,ac condenser, low pressure lines, idler arm, ball joints, rotors, brakes, calipers, drums wheel cylinders, right side rear axel and seal, shocks, transmission, custom rims, etc. Im sure ive missed something but you get the picture. The one thing that has to be done is the inner and outer tie rod ends which i have new in the box and wiper motor needs to be installed but i have a new one. I also have a new fuel tank rock shield in the box that i didnt install yet, The old one has a rot hole in it. The interior is in very nice shape with very little wear on the driver seat everything else is very nice. The body is in very nice shape with only a little rust on the right rear quarter not rusted through. The 4 wheel drive does work perfect. The rear tires are like new but the left front has some ware because i didnt do the tie rod ends and align it. It has a class III hitch for towing. I also replaced the rear bumper last year. I never drove it much because i travel pretty far to work and really not economical but reliable. My loss is definately someones gain. I can do with out tire kickers its a 1996 vehicle its not new. Please no first time ebay bidders. The pickup of the vehicle is the responsibility of the winning bidder,

Poor headlights cause 40 cars to miss IIHS Top Safety Pick rating
Mon, Aug 6 2018Over the past few months, we've noticed a number of cars and SUVs that have come incredibly close to earning one of the IIHS's highest accolades, the Top Safety Pick rating. They have great crash test scores and solid automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning systems. What trips them up is headlights. That got us wondering, how many vehicles are there that are coming up short because they don't have headlights that meet the organization's criteria for an "Acceptable" or "Good" rating. This is a revision made after 2017, a year in which headlights weren't factored in for this specific award. This is also why why some vehicles, such as the Ford F-150, might have had the award last year, but have lost it for this year. We reached out to someone at IIHS to find out. He responded with the following car models. Depending on how you count, a whopping 40 models crash well enough to receive the rating, but don't get it because their headlights are either "Poor" or "Marginal." We say depending on how you count because the IIHS actual counts truck body styles differently, and the Infiniti Q70 is a special case. Apparently the version of the Q70 that has good headlights doesn't have adequate forward collision prevention technology. And the one that has good forward collision tech doesn't have good enough headlights. We've provided the entire list of vehicles below in alphabetical order. Interestingly, it seems the Volkswagen Group is having the most difficulty providing good headlights with its otherwise safe cars. It had the most models on the list at 9 split between Audi and Volkswagen. GM is next in line with 7 models. It is worth noting again that though these vehicles have subpar headlights and don't quite earn Top Safety Pick awards, that doesn't mean they're unsafe. They all score well enough in crash testing and forward collision prevention that they would get the coveted award if the lights were better.
Driving the Panamera and Mike's Rant | Autoblog Podcast #487
Thu, Sep 8 2016This week we cover some recent news like the upcoming Land Rover Discovery, updates to FCA's large car platform (including the Challenger), and talk about water injection. Then we go into what we've been driving - David just finished his time in the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Mike tried the GMC Acadia. And then Mike (who is still uncomfortable writing in the third person) goes on a rant about why automakers shouldn't specify which cars are aimed at women. The rundown is below. GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
