2005 GMC Yukon Denali 89,417miles Navigation Rear DVD Player Heated front and rear seats 3rd row seats Sunroof Lowered 2"/3" 22" MC2 wheels 285/45/22 Falken Ziex 50% tread I am the 2nd owner of this truck, I bought it from the original owner that bought it here in the Tampa area, He always had it serviced at that dealer. I have since had all the service done at a local reputable shop that services and maintains all my vehicles. The previous owner took excellent care of the truck and mainly used it for family trips and vacations. We havent needed the extra space as we thought we would. We have put 25k miles on the truck and havent had any trouble with it. We went through the whole front suspension around 70k and replaced the upper and lower control arm bushings, inner and outer tie rods. pitman arm, idler arm, and sway bar links. I lowered the truck 2" in the front and 3" in the rear with McGaughy's deluxe lowering kit. The kit includes spindles, coils, and shock extenders. It still retains all the factory air suspension and auto-leveling. I used to not enjoy driving this truck when we got it, it was top heavy, boring, and just didnt feel like it should. Lowering the truck really changed the entire feel of the truck. It now handles and feels like it really should. And it looks much better too. The wheels were a factory option on an 05 Escalade we had a few years ago that I kept with the thought of using them someday... The sunroof shade fabric has some water stains from when the sunroof leaked during a big storm, I noticed the drain was clogged with some small leafy debris, once I cleaned the track out it never happened again. I havent got a chance to have the fabric replaced. The red reflector is missing in the passenger rear door. The climate control/radio screen in the rear has a dent in it (see pictures) I got it like that and he said something fell on it. Everything works as it should. I have another set of 22" chrome wheels that will go with the truck if you want them. They came on the truck and need to be sandblasted and painted. I dont have the stock wheels, or stock suspension parts, they can be found for cheap on ebay... I think that is everything. This truck has been great to us, and I know its ready to do another 80k miles for someone else. If you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask. I encourage and welcome anyone to come see the truck before the auction end... The truck is for sale locally and I may end auction at any time! ....Do Not Bid Unless You Intend To Buy.... Thank You! |

GM pushing back on proposed pickup and SUV brake recall [w/poll]
Tue, 08 Jul 2014Through the first six months of 2014, General Motors has recalled 29 million cars and trucks in 54 different actions. If your author's notoriously sketchy math is correct, that'd work out to one recall every 3.5 days (as of this writing). GM is actively fighting to make sure there isn't a 55th recall, though.
Safety critics, including perennial nemesis Clarence Ditlow of the Center for Auto Safety, are calling on GM to recall a further six million pickup trucks and SUVs in northerly climes due to corroding brake lines caused by the use of road salt. There is a catch, here, though - the vehicles in question are over 10 years old, and include the 1999 to 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban and GMC Sierra, as well as the 2000 to 2003 Tahoe and Yukon (shown above).
GM issued the following statement on the matter, obtained by CNN Money:
GMC Hummer pickup and SUV previewed in video, set to be revealed in fall
Wed, Jul 29 2020GMC has just provided us with our first good look at the upcoming Hummer EV pickup and SUV. A video was posted online previewing the two models that also happens to feature LeBron James. From clay sculptures to prototypes in various levels of completeness, GM is allowing the world a sneak preview of what’s to come. A couple of the more revealing images come in silhouette photos of both the truck and SUV at the end of the video. The truck has a big four-door crew cab and an exceptionally small bed behind it. The angle from cab to bed is also notable. ItÂ’s not easy to see exactly whatÂ’s going on since itÂ’s shrouded in darkness, but when we saw the Hummer pickup, it was rocking sail panels that resemble the ones on the truck weÂ’re looking at. The truckÂ’s general shape is off-road oriented with squared-off, sharp lines tracing the entire silhouette. Its big, knobby tires and blocky wheels are clear indicators of what GM was aiming for with this electric pickup. As for the SUV, comparisons to the Ford Bronco four-door will be inevitable. If our eyes are picking up the scale of this photo correctly, though, the Hummer SUV appears to be a slightly larger vehicle than the four-door Bronco is. Although, the wheelbase for the SUV is shorter than that of the Hummer truck. ThatÂ’ll help it off-road. Those small bumpers and short overhangs along with the bumper cutouts should be hugely beneficial to approach and departure angles, as well. Hummer EV prototype View 6 Photos GMCÂ’s shots of the Hummer in the studio are equally as revealing. We can see what looks to be an intense front skid plate and two big tow hooks. In addition to the off-road gear, GMC has allowed a look at the frunk. The front “grille” is one piece with the hood of the truck, so the whole assembly pulls up. That makes for what appears to be a very easy-to-load front trunk compared to other EVs that force you to lift items up and over the front of the car. The whole removable roof assembly is exposed in this video, too. We can see the crossbars that the removable panels attach to and also what the truck looks like with the tops removed. The SUV appeared to have removable roof panels from our short glimpse of it in a studio awhile back. Other new details GM mentioned in the video include Adrenaline Mode, Crab Mode and Next-Gen Super Cruise. We donÂ’t know what Adrenaline Mode or Crab Mode do yet, but theyÂ’re certainly off-road modes that GM has designed specifically for this electric Hummer.
GM readying aluminum-body fullsize pickups
Wed, 19 Feb 2014Ford's extensive use of aluminum in its 2015 F-150 is a big deal. A really big deal. Big enough, in fact, that General Motors is reportedly changing its fullsize pickup strategy. According to The Wall Street Journal, The General has locked in partnerships with Alcoa Inc. and Novelis Inc. - companies that will supply aluminum for the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks.
"Ford's introduction of the 2015 F-150 pickup truck was a game changer, and it's the first, not the last, conversion of this type," Novelis spokesperson Charles Belbin told the Journal. The switch to aluminum has allowed Ford to shave roughly 700 pounds off its fullsize truck's curb weight. And while official mileage ratings have not been announced, the weight loss should go a long way for improving efficiency, especially when combined other efficiency-minded improvements including better aerodynamics and new, turbocharged V6 engines.
Of course, aluminum-bodied cars are nothing new. But extensive use of aluminum in a major, best-selling product like the Ford F-150 is expected to kick off widespread use of this weight-saving material as availability rises and cost decreases. The WSJ reports that GM had originally explored the idea of moving to aluminum pickups back in 2008, but abandoned the idea due to cost concerns amid economic woes.
